  2. The time signature of the Marillion song was perplexing to me as well, so I looked into it a bit. Turns out has verse sections in 7/8, more standard time signatures appear as well. A transcription can be purchased from progmusicshet, the first page preview is available for free: https://www.progmusicsheet.com/product-page/just-for-the-record
  3. It's been many years since I have made any CDLC, totally forgot how to do it. I have been trying to edit some CDLC the past few days. I found this, and I followed the steps in it and it worked great. Here's my workflow for editing existing CDLC that works for me: Use the toolkit CDLC Creator GUI and press "Import Package" button. Select the CDLC that you want to edit. Wait for the CDLC to be loaded into the toolkit GUI. At this point the toolkit has unpacked the CDLC and created an EOF artifacts subfolder. The EOF subfolder contains all the files you need to edit the CDLC. Now open EOF "File" and select "New". Open the EOF subfolder that contains the unpacked CDLC artifacts created by the toolkit above. Select the main audio ogg file from the EOF subfolder. Provide the Artist and Title info for EOF. Select "Use Source Audio's Folder' and wait for EOF to load the ogg file. Press F5 to see the auido wave form in EOF. Next in EOF select "File", "Rocksmith Import" and load the Rocksmith XML Arrangement (Lead, Rhythum, Bass) that you want to edit. (Ignore any warnings or just answer 'Yes'). (EDIT: Since you are using the same audio as the original CDLC you can) resync the Arrangement to the audio waveform as necessary using Ctrl-A, then Ctrl-Shift drag. Edit away in EOF and then save the edited arrangement. Back in the toolkit, select the old arrangement and "Remove" then select "Add" and the new edit arrangement that you created in EOF. Finally press "Generate" to create a new CDLC package. Let the toolkit create new 'Arrangement Identification' so that the edited version is distinguishable from the original in the game.
  4. Yesterday
  5. loosely reminds me of Crazy Train. 7 is fine for me, but no more
  6. images are too small. OCR app will not detect them well unfortunately. please consider to post them full size
  7. any more questions, hit us up on the CF Discord in the #Creators channel for quicker responses
  8. Next to Tones on the bottom of the screen, press the + sign. You have to add a bass tone and name it same case sensitive name so "bass_base" and then add it to the bass_base key . If you're unsure of how to get a good sounding tone, if you choose import tone from collection after pressing + there will be a list of all official game tones in there, if you search bass and then a song that is similar to the tone you're looking for that will be your best probability of getting a good starting tone.
  9. Filter by tuning? It's not too bad to look for songs in whatever tuning, but it's questionble whether they will be on the forge. It would be a lot easier to find stuff to play on rocksmith in say drop g, if you could filter by tunings.
  10. Hi, Is there a way to clear a score on Learn a Song? I did the whole Marillion song in practice at 50% and got 97% (I usually only do a couple of sections). And now I don't know if I'm improving or not (I strike at Score Attack)... And many thanks to @Mikson (and all the other organizers) for all the hard work with the Championship!
  11. IT'S CHAMPIONSHIP TIME!!! YEEAHH!!! @ Mikson Thank you very much indeed for organizing the week again!!! Really appreciated!!! ( I also will try to host a week as soon as I can! ) ---- And now, my challenges for this week in bass and lead... I like this Marillion song! Is it in 5/4 or something? For now I am happy I reached 90% after some RR sessions...
  12. Hi, I've been using the site for quite a while, and finally decided to make my own CDLC for songs that I don't see in the database that I'm interested in. I bought the song on iTunes and converted it. I've only made the Bass part, because I play bass. I decided to do the note by note method in Editor On Fire. First Question: I get an error in DLC Builder about the "bass_base" tone, which I don't know how to resolve and it won't let me "publish". I finished the song and tested it, and it's pretty good. Now I'm not sure of my next step to publish it, or ask to get it tested, or what. Also, generally, I'm not sure where to store the file for safe downloads. What are people generally using these days? And lastly, what should my next step or hint be for submitting it? Any help for this old newbie would be appreciated. Thanks, folks.
  13. Might try both rhythm and lead this week (7) seems fine for this one Might be easier because it's so repetitive and therefore easier to learn (6) Might be a little harder because it's so long (6)
  14. it looks first easy, but my hands cramp so heavily with the chord variations especially at the fast pace of the song
  15. Haven't played any bass for a month but improved in the meantime from playing lead guitar
  16. Please read this: And this: https://customsforge.com/index.php?/guidelines/ CDLC Database rules No posting of official Rocksmith 1 or Rocksmith 2014 official content. That means included songs and official DLC. Live versions of official content are also not allowed.
  17. Rocksmith1 is no longer available in steam or anywhere else, so can someone pls make Plugin Baby for Rocksmith remastered or upload a copy of it?
  18. so cool to see anther Sparton song here again. Actually I play this and some others with my new fretless bass. It's pure fun, and in Rocksmith it is a big intonation challenge for me. I recorded a playthrough with the fretless, don't care about scores and it's nicer to watch in learn a song. I also will try the master mode later. I recommend to start the song with fingers, and for the second part continue with a pick.
  19. multiplayer session with @ zbb on bass, fun selection of songs
  20. Done! Thanks again, you're a star!
