I felt that Carpe Diem Baby at Rhythm is more difficult then Bat Country, so that's the reason for Metallica in MasterClass rhythm.

Intermediate Bass - 99.02%, 487 streak

One of many great songs from Metallica's ReLoad album. ReLoad followed not as good as expected Load, and it did not dissapointed. While Fuel and Memory Remains are the most popular songs, almost all of them are really fun. While I still prefer Metallica's thrash side, ReLoad is great break.

 

Advanced Bass - 98%, 262 streak

 

MasterClass Bass - 98%, 288 streak

One of the best by Avenged Sevenfold. Really good song.

Was a great week thats gone - my first int win (rhy) and i would've loved to win lead, too - @@Azrael was too strong, very happy with 2nd there, and i was snowboarding with the family the whole week - couldnt be better...

All great artists this week! Sure I'll take my time to play each song since I love all the artists, even though Carpe Diem Baby is one of my not favorite Metallica songs haha.

 

I'd be lying if I said Avenged Sevenfold isn't my favorite band. I'd also be lying if I said I didn't love this song to death and have played it before. I'd also be lying if I said bass isn't going into MM this week.

@@justgimmethefunk, thanks a lot for the compliments, I like Maiden songs a lot which is a big help to get a good score :)

 

@@NoonyDeloony, dynamikstudios is the inlay creator and he fixed the inlays that had some wrong notes. Here's the link to the new and fixed inlays, amongst a bunch of other ones :)

 

I hope I can post some more scores this week, I only had time to post the 1st runs on the previous week (which kind of annoyed me, since I liked all 4 songs and didn't had any time to even make the SA runs :( )

@@Rodman Like always when song has lower rating then it's week class. You can choose not to level up with 99.5+ rule. It looks like Megadeth has 6 for bass (Int), so you can go for perfect run :)

New Week, New Songs, yeah!

i tried to get time today for a better MM score on the maiden song, but that didnt happen.

Definitely could have done better than the 92,5%.

Offspring is cool, this song is cool, and its fun to play.

 

Megadeth - I'll Get Even

Already had this one in my game, because its fucking AWESOME! Love it, but i made lots of stupid mistakes on that run.

This one smell´s like there could be a MM Score coming. 

 

Metallica - Carpie Diem Baby

This one felt weird to play. lots of misses.

Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country

Great song. Glad to finally learn it properly. Totally necesarry... I sucked on everything in that song, especially the bridge, hahaha

What a weird week (in a good way!), when of the four songs selected, the Metallica song is my least favorite of the 4...  :)

 

Offspring - You're Gonna Go Far, Kid is really really fun, not difficult, but still a really great bassline.  Totally recommend it for bass players even beyond the Beginner level.  Try it out just for the fun factor!

 

Megadeth - I'll Get Even.  A song I like a lot, from an album with a lot of nice, later-but-still-good songs.  In spite of that, I hadn't downloaded this one yet; just Trust, another favorite from the album.  So, really glad this one was selected which will prompt me to get off my lazy butt and give it a try!

 

Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country.  I'd imagine a lot of Rocksmith bass players like me remember at some point loading up Rocksmith 2014 (before any DLC or CDLC) in the bass path and sorting by difficulty.  And there at the bottom of the list (hardest according to Rocksmith) was Bat Country.  I tried out the song in my first few Rocksmith days, and got my ass kicked.  Played other stuff for a few months and came back to it -- and it still kicked my ass (but a little bit less so).  So, I gave it a few days of intensive Riff Repeater time and was massively pleased with myself when I eked out a 95-96% or so.  ...Fast forward to now and I still load up the song once in a while, but in a great testament to how much Rocksmith can really hone one's skills, I usually get a 99%+ without the song seeming very difficult (plenty of other songs have replaced it at the end of the "sort by difficulty" list in the meantime, like anything by Rush, etc.).  Maybe with the Championship as motivation I'll be prompted to get my first-ever 100% on it ... but I doubt it.  I still have a ways to go for that!

 

Metallica - Carpe Diem Baby.  Metallica has been pretty much my favorite band.  A friend gave me a copied casette tape from his dual tape deck (high technology!) of the Black album (which had just come out) and Justice when I was in my early teens.  Loved both of them, and loved the rest of their albums as I discovered them.  Heck, I even liked Load when it came out.  I was less enthusiastic about ReLoad, and St. Anger was at least different ... but in more of a lateral change in terms of my tastes.  Death Magnetic kinda turned everything around for me, a pretty triumphant return to form.  But Carpe Diem Baby is one of those "meh" songs on an album that I consider a low point in my favorite band's career.  Still, I'd better download and at least give it a shot!

Here's first tries (for the Championship anyway, played most of these many times before):

 

Beg Bass:

Offspring - You're Gonna Go Far, Kid

Like I said before, it isn't a hard song -- but I'd put it on the high end of Beginner, if not easy Int.  I think I missed one here because of detection, had just tuned my bass up from a lower tuning and it was a bit twitchy.  I'll post a 100% at some point.

Difficulty:  3

 

Int Bass:

Metallica - Crappy Diem Baby

Actually, this one isn't downloading for me right now.  I'll try later and edit in score/comments/difficulty.

Blech.  Once was enough, gonna have to remove from the ol' DLC folder and try to forget this song exists.  Difficulty wise, jumping strings in the way this is charted is not a real strong suit of mine, so this actually felt much harder than the Megadeth song to me.  I think I would personally rate this one as low-advanced difficulty, but that is all quite subjective so I don't necessarily have a problem with this being pegged for Int if most people find the Megadeth song harder.  But, worth seeing what the players in each class think themselves.

Difficulty: 7

 

Adv Bass:

Megadeth - I'll Get Even

Missed the 1st-try 100% because I screwed up one of the opening 2-note chords.  Be careful, because there is pretty much ZERO leading silence here, so you have to be ready immediately (although the opening note is a sustain so you can be a bit late and still get credit for it).  Difficulty wise, to me the only thing that puts this higher than the Offspring song is the opening chords (which aren't hard).  I'd give it a low-mid Int difficulty.

Difficulty: 4-5

 

MC Bass:

Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country

I think that was with 2-3 misses, fairly random stuff.  I'm not really smooth throughout, so I don't "deserve" a 100%, but with enough tries I think I could very well get it.  Not going to beat the Double-Trouble Duo of @@then3verend and @@Blazikiller on score though, particularly because I won't even contemplate a Master Mode run...  /bow to the Masters  B)

Difficulty wise, we've done harder stuff in MC.  I'd be tempted to peg this as an average to toughish Advanced rather than full-on MC.

Difficulty: 8

Tried Megadeth again to double-check my difficulty score on it vs. Metallica:

 

I got robbed, I tell you.  "Missed" the 3rd note in a quadruplet of the same note halfway through the song, when the 3 other identical notes in the same quadruplet registered fine (not to mention the many many other times that same note hit fine in the song).  I'll get the 100 on it soon though.  And I feel sufficiently justified in suggesting that this song is much easier (at least to me) than Carpe Diem Baby.
