I put Alestrom's bass into Intermediate, but I forgot to test it :( So tell if it should be somewhere else.

Impressed myself with that one.  Have not played that song for a few weeks. and with just 2 tries under the influence of whiskey i beat my mastery with 1,5%. :)

That was a weird one. I think i need to listen to that song without playing a few times.

Hey guys, I forgot to ask something last week.

I don't like to play customs with DD, in fact it's "difficult" for me to play them, so since most of the customs have DD created by DDC, when I get 1, I always remove the DD with the toolkit and add to the end of the song title "NDD".

I do this for the reason I stated above and also to be able to play SA in any difficulty level, cause some arrangements I can't play in SA Hard despite the fact of getting scores ~85%.

If there's a problem with that, I'll play the "original" files, no problem.

I just want to guarantee that I don't change anything in the file except removing the DD and if there are members that prefer the "NDD Version" I make, if the organizers want, I can post links to the files, just let me know.

Thanks

Zebra is a fantastic song, it' one of my favorites in RS. Thanks for choosing this one.

Love the guitar part and the bass, it's great.

@@Kaijin great your'e doing this, so I don't have to.

Think this week I'll play the Advanced. I don't care much about the classes, more picking the songs I like to play :)

Well, I didn't get a chance to play Zebra (even though I have it for weeks) but I played Skyclad song. And I don't see it so difficult. Arpeggios are nothing really scary, it need few tries, maybe even RR, to get good score. Still I wouldn't demonize that song.

I really like that crazy solos on Metropolis, their sound amazing.

@@Kaijin Sometimes I had some glitches with removing DD from songs. It was ending up with scroll speed decreased, or decreasing over time, making it really unfunny to play (Phantom of the Opera by Maiden's with lowest possible SS is ridicoulus).

@ Your welcome, I've been removing DD from customs for more than 6 months, I'm very used to it and the process is extremely easy and fast with the toolkit, I do it every week (on another championship) and all files always worked fine, but if you find any problem, please let me know.

@@Mortalo I never noticed that, but I rarely play a song with DD, I immediately remove it when I download the file, so I might not ever noticed anything related to the scroll speed because I only play the NDD versions.

As far as the chart, I've never experienced "missing" notes or any other type of problem.

Feel free to download the files I posted or even future ones and if you find that or any other issue, please let me know, so I can try to figure out what might be causing it.

There's also the "method" I use to remove DD. I always do the same, unless there's some exception error.

I import the .psarc file in the toolkit without the package structured. I then drag the .xml files in the /songs/arr/ folder into the DDC tab of the toolkit. I use the "ramp-up model" "ddc_dd_remover" and the "config file" "ddc_default" with the "phrase length" set to 40. I then switch back to the "creator" tab, double click each arrangement, browse for the file generated by DDC, add the "NDD" letters in the end of the song title and I generate the package.

This takes me about 30s-1min to do.

I'm not a developer or do I possess knowledge about writing code, but I've followed the development of the toolkit and EoF since the release of RS2014, so I've seen many bugs and issues being solved, plus I do have knowledge on how to "read" the code generated by EoF in the .xml files and also the structure of any .psarc file, so most of the times I'm able to solve any issue that might appear.

Thanks.

Well, on the 1st day of each week, if I have time, I play all arrangements from all songs. (I hope you guys don't mind the "avalanche" of screenshots).

Now, this week when I saw the tuning of "Drink", I thought I wasn't gonna be able to play... let me explain... since I started playing guitar 2 years ago, I always used .009's and never tried any other gauge, so when I had to tune lower than D standard, I couldn't get recognition in the game at all, it was pointless to try to play.

A couple of weeks ago, several people were telling me that I would be able to tune lower if I changed the gauge, the ideal would be .011's, but with .010's I would already notice some difference. So, I got a set of .010's and installed it about 1 month ago, but I never had to tune lower than Drop D since I installed the new set.

So, while playing tonight, after finishing the other 3 songs, I went to play "Drink", tuned to C Standard and to my total amazement almost everything that I played correctly was recognized (in the past when I tried to play songs with C Standard tuning I would only see "MISS", "MISS", "MISS" despite that I was playing the notes correctly... this happened much more with chords, power chords or even double stops than with just single notes, those were recognized most of the time).

So, looks like the advices I got were accurate, indeed I was able to play all 3 arrangements and I enjoyed to play them a lot, the strings didn't felt like "spaghetti", which was what happened with the .009's and it was terrible to play that way.

As usual, almost all songs were totally unknown to me, except the MC song, which I already had for quite some time on the HDD, but I only had tried the bass arrangement once, but I enjoyed a lot playing all of them.... one of the main reasons I like the championship so much.... I get to play songs that I would never play if I didn't participate. :)

Man i suck at arpeggios! I'd rate the Skyclad intermediate lead at an 8. While i enjoy the song, it's not just arpeggios on simple chords - there are lots of alternate single notes slipped in there too. I've riff repeated the first section for an hour or so at 80% but still struggling.

I was hoping to get a score in today before i go on hols with the family tomorrow - got an 1800km drive ahead of us over the next few days. Unfortunately, i can't get a valid score atm so i'm out for a couple of weeks. Bring on the warmer weather!

I sure that it was bad choice  a song for beginner in C standart for challenge, it is fighting with recognition notes in RS, but not work with techniques and speed. I using thick stings 12-56 and got a lot "miss" primitive open chords. Wasting time. Suitable only for fun.

Lead part feels harder today.  Maybe whiskey makes me a better guitarist. (or more likely a hangover and sleep deprivation hinder my playing).

But rhythm part went fairly well.

Well, it's hard for me to tell. I have 0.09-0.46 and I had no problems with recognition (at least I didn't noticed them). So my experienced was ok and I hadn't thought that it will be pain for someone.
