We just went over 4000 songs earlier today. 1000 CDLC in one month goal,,, achieved.

Amazing simply amazing. First I am grateful that the site even exists, and secondly, I'm blown away by how far it has come in such a short amount of time. Thanks to the Devs, Mods, Admins and the owner Unleashed2k for making this happen. B-) .

I have been casually looking into charting some classic country songs. The major problem is getting GP tabs. I can usually find text tabs or chord tabs, which won't serve the purpose. I would have to MAKE a GP tab which I'm sure I could do. And I believe there is a way to convert text tabs, but not chord tabs. Anyway, GP tabs are more difficult to find for the non mainstream genres, at least that's part of it.

Been there, done that. The TAB said in was in E standard, but it was very definitely Eb. I almost went crazy. Changed the tuning in EoF and viola, fixed.

Well. Basically the rules say if you didn't create it, you can't post it. If you can get permission from the original charter , with proof, then it's ok.

The VERY few I have made are tested, sometimes I get others to test them BEFORE I release them call me anal, but whatever. I felt horrible a few days back when I uploaded a new version of one and the went back and found it was a hanger. Song started but no GO on the music. As soon as I realized it, I went back to the original and then fixed the update. But at no point did anyone PM me saying,, hey man it's broken. Feedback is important.I ASKED Firekorn to review my second one and he pointed out several issues. As soon as I have more time I will try to fix the one I asked him to review. It MAY, hell, LIKELY will require an entire redo , but that's ok. I want to put quality out there.

Oh WOW!!. I'll try to list them in order if I can. Metallica with Queensryche opening: And Justice for All tour. Aerosmith with G'n'R Opeing,, right when Appetite hit,, I wasn't there for Aerosmith. Def Leppard with Europe Opening. Pantera in some small little bar in Austin, TX right when Cowboys From Hell hit,, they were BLOWING UP at the time. Metallica, just Metallica. Metallica and G'n'R. Metallica with I don't remember who was opening,, the other 2 bands didn't fit that genre at all. Was kind of a weird show. Took a LONG break from concerts as raising kids got in the way. At my wife's BEGGING,,, Kenny Chesney with Lady Antebellum and Miranda Lambert opening.. ( Most disappointing show I've ever seen,, the headliner does ONE hour? Are you kidding? His song catalog is huge,, but nope 1 hour. ) Metallica ( It was the worst show I've seen them do, very early in the tour, but still, not sure I'll do them again ) Queensryche at some little casino, right before the Rocklahoma meltdown. Have MANY bands that come through that I want to see but I have to fit them in my schedule and most of the time it just doesn't work. If we want to go back to the county fair days,, LMAO. My parents owned a tent company so I had VIP tickets to all of the shows. .38 Special,, and acck, puke New Kids On The Block !!!!! And many others I can't remember. Oh shit, almost forgot Winger, Bullet Boys, Cindarella, and mmm I don't remember the fourth band at that show. AND HOLY SHIT HOW did I forget ? STEVE VAI !!!!!!!!

I can only speak from my own experience. I have seen a few bad ones but recently I have only gotten quality cdlc. I personally have started charting very recently and now that I'm workin on my third I am turning the quality meter WAY up. It is not easy. Hopefully charters will go back and fix issues. But ultimately, they are made for the creator then shared, so unfortunately there will be a few bad ones. I downloaded one the other day that blew me away as to how good it was, so there are plenty of good ones as well. A friendly PM advising the charter of found issues may go a long way.

If it is a microphone, that can be plugged into you computer, there is no reason it would not work. If it is Bluetooth then obviously your computer would have to be able to connect to it. If your talking about Xbox or Ps3 I hvae no idea. But if your talking PC, hook it up and see if your computer recognizes it as a microphone. If it does, it should work in Rocksmith.

Guitar takes TIME, an insane amount of time. BUT, it gives you back what you put in. If you dedicate 1 hour a day to it in 1 month you will be amazed at how many things you used to struggle with now come easy. Don't EVER give up.

Interesting I just checked my RS cable volume is in fact set to 17,, and works just fine for me that way.

There are quite a few options in Rocksmith for song sorting. I'm assuming you have yours set to artist. As long as the artist is correct on the CDLC it should be in the right place. If the charter Put something like THE Scorpions, instead of Scorpions, it would show up out of place. The file would have to be regenerated with the correct info in order to change that. And more than likely it wouldn't work out the way you want. OH, well like I said you could try to regenerate the file, but I've never actually done that.

In Rocksmith you can sort by artist. year, how often you've played it. All kinds of options, Try making sure it is set to Artist. I do not think that artist is the default.

Well, if it is a custom, it could be that the tone volume was set kind of low during the build. BUT you can pause the game and turn everything else down and the balance will be better. I know it's a pain but sometimes you may need to do that.

Reassign the APP ID using the Rocksmith Toolkit. I know you shouldn't have to but sometimes it is needed.

Yeah I've always been torn between actives and passives. I like the BITE of actives but for some things passives just work better. I may have found my next experiment with Kent Armstrongs M-Buckers,, but that will be for a later day.

Easy,, using the CDLC search function at the upper right of the forums page type U2 into the search bar,, and wait for it to finish processing.

I am yet to find a tab that was perfect. The track I'm working on now was close, but after combining the best parts of 2 separate bass tabs, I'm still working on that bass line. And the lead needs some short solos added to it. Fortunately I think they are snippets from the main two solos so should be easy. But like I said, I haven't found a tab yet that I did not need to work on.

I got the patch earlier today and it had NO effect on my CDLC. Nothing they do should affect that at all.

If I may. The reason people don't hit the thanks button is that, well. It's not an in your face button. People just don't realize you can scroll over the bottom of the posted segment and hit a button. I try to thank all the charters and everyone that gives me help. I feel your pain, they say thanks in the thread but don't actually hit the little button on the chat window. The like button is right there, so that's what they hit. Just saying.
