I want to do something like the Jim Root Tele, but with full tone and volume control. Found a pretty affordable Tele Deluxe DIY kit from a finnish guitar store. Maple neck and alder body. Here's a link to the actual kit (in finnish though, but you can get the idea from the picture) http://www.uraltone.com/soitinrakennus/kitara-rakennussarjat/tele-deluxe-tyylinen-rakennussarja-3-leppa-vaahtera.html

Damn, those chords in Moneytalks are a pain to play. Got 73% on first attempt. Gotta step it up! -
I was thinking of making myself a Telecaster Deluxe from a DIY-kit. Thought i could swap the electrics to active pickup set, probably something like EMG's 81 on neck and 60 on bridge. What pickup set would you recommend?

What is the most underrated band(s)?
Birdassasin replied to Liquidlizard's topic in Music Discussion
In my mind, I get two possible candidates: Machinae Supremacy. Easily the best Swedish metal band I've ever heard. Known for using SidStation-synthesizer in their music. Doesn't get any radio time here in Finland. Authority Zero. One of the better punk bands I've heard (thanks Rock Band 2 and Tony Hawk's Underground). I haven't found anyone here, who actually listens to them. Psst, also a little hint for charters. Any CDLC from these? Please? :3 -
So far: Seether Soilwork Machinae Supremacy (twice, sort of)

Rocksmith 2014 sales and Amazon ranking
Birdassasin replied to Joe's question in Rocksmith Remastered
Rocksmith is a pretty unknown game here in Finland I gotta say. When the first one came here, I pre-ordered it from GameStop. When I went to pick it up on release date, I was literally the only one, who had pre-ordered it. They had to go through all of their new shipment boxes from that day to find the damn game. Haven't seen any ads here and the availability is really sporadic. Most game stores don't have it, but some deparment stores might have it. Even some stores, that don't really sell any games, like Clas Ohlson. Also one local music store sold the first one for a discount price. Shame, that the game hasn't got much attention here. It should get much more. Maybe with the next-gen versions? -
Guess I gotta contribute to this as well. Many, many thanks from Finland for all of the great content you make for this forum!

Happy birthday! :D

Epiphone Les Paul Custom or Epiphone Les Paul 100?

Just to end this topic, I ended up getting the Les Paul 100. So lightweight and feels awesome! -
Epiphone Les Paul Custom or Epiphone Les Paul 100?
Birdassasin replied to Birdassasin's topic in Gear Garage
Well I could techincally go test them both. It would be a bit of a road trip though. I will go test at least one of them, unless I get some other trade suggestion that trumps these two. -
So I was gonna trade off my Dimebag Darrell Signature, because it didn't fit my playing style. I got suggested two trades: one offered Epiphone Les Paul Custom Antique Ivory with Seymour Duncan humbuckers, the other offered Epiphone Les Paul 100 with standard pickups. I'm not entirely sure which one should I get. Any help?

I just myself this Fender Tweed Cotton strap from a sale. Shame that they ran out of these, because i really love it! http://www.yandasmusic.com//v/vspfiles/photos/1541-2T.jpg

Don't have one yet, but I'm thinking of getting Orange Micro Crush. Don't wanna get any bigger right now, since I live in an apartment building and don't want to disturb my neighbors. Also, it looks cool :3 E: Just got my Micro Crush today and I was suprised at its quality! looks really nice and the sound isn't shabby either. Gotta try to record it through my Line in, see if it sounds as nice as I think through that.

My hands get fatigued sometimes when there's some faster chord swapping (left hand) or tremolos (right hand).

One cup of coffee, with a bit cream and sugar. That's how i start my days normally. Sometimes tea.

Finished recording my first album! Now available! :)
Birdassasin replied to Altamont-613's question in Rocksmith Remastered
Not too shabby! Vocals could use a bit volume boost though. As already asked, CDLC of this? :D
