So Rock Band 4, probably one of the best yet in the series, and its only going to evolve from here on out. I will start off that this feels more like an Indie game, so launch day, you're going to get the most basic version of Rock Band 4 available. This isnt a bad thing for day one players, its still a solid experience, but its going to be more enticing to buy much later. The DLC is still a work in progress, which I am okay with, I feel bad for the intern at PSN to catalogue 2,000 seperate items in the store. While there is no word on RBN songs being available, I still have my fingers crossed that it will make a return. The 65 songs on the disk are great, but you have to force yourself to play them. Soul Remnants, Brandi Carlisle, and Lucius just earned a new fan out of me :) Freestyle solos are neat, although I'm too hardcore of a player to really enjoy them, but I will definitely leave it on for parties. Speaking of hardcore players, you can see how close you are to gold stars on a song now, I like that a lot. I will admit, I am a huge fan of Rock Band, its what started my guitar career(not to mention I probably have sunk about...i dunno 4,000 hours into the series) so this review isnt completely objective, so take from it what you will.

I'm assuming youre using the colored notes plugin for musescore? A quick googling brought up Chroma-Notes LLC, which...not only is it on hold, but very pricey, but is exactly what you're looking for. Yay, relevant info out of the way, now my real ansnwer, Mario Music Maker :D

epiphone is a nice all round guitar(hence why you see it in Rocksmith). If you do some digging, you might find a Paul Reed Smith for about that price range. Haven't played one myself but thats the kind of guitar Brown Noise used. Definitely recommend humbucker pickups no matter what you get

largely depends on the style you want to play. Epiphones are good for a jazzy,bluesy style, and can be neat for a hard rock crunch. Seems like you wamt that sg body though

With Rock Band dropping their guitar support, there's no real competition(Bandfuse maybe) for this type of game. And to be honest, I'm okay with this version being here awhile. Everything is clear, easy to see. I just wish the "band" experience was more prevalent. Like actually seeing your fake singer or looking back to keep time with your fake drummer. Not just shredding to the crowd...or even giving us that crowd in score attack. Once a new engine comes out(give or take a couple of years) they'll release a new Rocksmith. But no need to make one right now

Rocksmith is good for learning tabs, but unless you have a steady practice session involving technique(it took me 4 gosh darn months to bend a string) then you wont really be that good. I won't lie saying Rocksmith allowed me to play to my full potential as a guitarist, but it doesnt give you a lot of knowledge on technique, scales, and theory. Sorry, just trying to play devils advocate on the reasoning, definitely would talk to him(as an adult, seriously, talking to people and asking questions in a serious matter brings wisdom) and say that you are obviously proud of the level you are at, just dunno where you want to go in guitar.

Now I'm not going to RUSH to any conclusions, but I would guess Mortalo was WORKING on making that bass happen MAN

I know ubisoft has a hardware warranty on the cable itself. Does the cable make the sound when its unplugged from A: The guitar B: the PC C: the long cable? It could be that the gain is really frickin high.

@@albatross213 there's like 10 chord shapes you need for 95% of the songs. The other 5% are Hendrix,QoTSA , and others. Learn those, and yer good. Oh, I just thought my name got really mad :P
