  1. I had this pop up in my daily digest and realised that I haven't shared my new guitar here yet. Chapman ML-2 Classic. Gallery - http://imgur.com/a/oLf5U Just 1 shot from there - the images are quite large so won't hot link them all; http://i.imgur.com/LiZSp4t.jpg And my other guitar as posted earlier - Epiphone LP Special II in Wine Red - http://imgur.com/gallery/zidFz/new
  2. Re bass, the pedal I linked is.fine.for bass with the changing of 2 resistors. I haven't used the digitec, but a friend of mine uses his with his bass without problems.
  3. I came across this thread while looking for something else (apologies for the necro) but thought I'd chime in with what I use. I built my own pedal to do this (from a kit) and it works fine. Have a read of this thread on their forums and you can see my questions / suggestions for improvement - and if you make it to the end, the code we now use that works perfectly fine within Rocksmith - http://www.electrosmash.com/forum/software-pedalshield/78-detune-pedal-based-off-octaver-code?lang=en
  4. First off, goto this page - http://customsforge.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&search_in=forums Look at the second major box there, enter your search in the "Find tags" field. Scroll down to the "Find in forum" and select "Rocksmith CDLC" - this will search the Workshop, Discography Projects and the Submitted CDLC database. If you'd rather look for only the database entries(what you'd find when using the ignition search for eg), choose "Submitted CDLC". Now, obviously this method is only as good as the tags the author submitted when creating the post, but hopefully it can help you find certain things while more comprehensive lists are being made.
  5. @ @@Aludog - I wasn't trying to defend anything - just pointing out that the ideal scenario can't happen immediately, and that a work around was possible within the existing tools available. Apologies for not reading the entire thread fully - I was skimming - If I'd have noticed the suggested note about the workshop option, I'd have asked Tein to open it up earlier :-)
  6. We know this isn't the ideal - Dev time to work on the search functions has kind of tanked, but you can actually already do something - vaguely - like what is being requested already, so long as the CDLC post was tagged as the genre. http://customsforge.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&search_in=forums Look at the second main box there, enter "jazz" in the "find tags" area, select "Submitted CDLC" as the forum to search and you'll get 30 results.
  7. You misunderstand my request for others opinions as complaining. I'm simply looking to make the best use of Rocksmith that I can and I value others opinions on here. There is nothing wrong with promoting a discussion, most of us are here to support that - and those that don't, find themselves unable to use the site for a few weeks. For me, I find the choice to use the DD depends entirely on my mood. If I want to learn something properly, I'll riff repeat the hell out of it - but I use the DD step ups within RR to do that - I find that "works" for me. But everyone learns differently. If tab is easier for you to learn certain parts to a point that you can then attempt then in Rocksmith - grab the http://www.rocksmithtotab.de/- Rocksmith to tab tool - that reads the rocksmith file and creates a tab file from it, so you are practising the exact same arrangement from tab.
  8. The best tool I've come across for playing online with a friend is https://www.jamkazam.com/ The distributed metronome tech seems interesting, but you still need to be relatively close to each other geographically and with EXCELLENT internet connections to get close to being useable. As firekorn said, the RS team have been looking into this for a while. Dan at one point even mentioned having tested the JamKazaam JamBlaster (their own ultra low latency, networked audio interface) - but the conclusion was anything that any connection less than the best currently available, simply wasn't good enough. Until the internet itself is capable of freakishly low latency levels, the user experience simply won't be good enough. And sorry to say this, but given where you live, South Australia and trying to play with someone in Queensland? You're never going to get the tech needed. LOL idiotic FTTN NBN! I have a fiber to my desk install, (Bogota Colombia) and I tried a JamKazaam hookup with a friend that works in a Telstra datacenter in Melbourne (100% fiber to his racks) - we got lower latency figures between us (14,600+ km) than he gets using his home connection in Melbourne (FTTN) connecting to his work network (under 4 km).
  9. This looks fascinating, if you need a supply of guitar pro tabs (of varying quality) to throw at it, feel free to grab from here, https://copy.com/GZqF1ACawiL7 If you need testers, let me know. The guys that work on the CFSM can tell you that I'm reasonably good at breaking things.
  10. https://copy.com/3btXeK4S4q7gzc4j Screen cap of a crash. It spat 3 errors at me, while trying to scroll through the list using the arrow keys. The app had previously hung after completing 205 of 440 (or there abouts) tags.
  11. Do you have a place to submit bug reports / app crash screen shots?
  12. Why does the app insist on re-locating itself to top centre of my primary monitor, whenever I change a tab within the app - no matter how many times I move it to where I actually want it? Edit: PS - I love the notes tally per path available in the CDLC manager tab!
  13. May I missed what you mean - but I figured that since the Song Manager tab has the option to sort by / see tuning, then surely it wouldn't be that hard to add the same column to the Setlist manager tab?
  14. Not sure if this is much of a help to you, but if the file name has a upper case letter in it - it is a CDLC. None of the official DLC have upper case letters or file names longer than about 16 characters. Extreme, More than Words - for eg, is named "extrmore_p.psarc" and (unless you have removed them manually) there will be a m.psarc file of the same name right above it, since Steam insists on downloading both the mac and pc versions of purchased dlc.
  15. Cant you just set it as the default playback device in windows?
  16. My old post including capo / alt tuning etc was made a while ago during a discussion about if this was even possible and how we should make it look if it were possible - I was just throwing out ideas. I agree that that information isn't strictly needed. DD and bonus paths however, I would really want to be able to see. PS, that gif I posted before, should be 1:1 for ingame sizes (based on my 1080p display) @@Lovroman my original post on the other thread had links to the PSD file I used to create the examples - https://copy.com/2SpOQM6iYWEV47Dx- Everyone can feel free to use / modify / ignore as they see fit. I'm about to be away for a week (Caribbean Island, because I can!) So I may make a theme you can add later when I get back.
  17. A link to this tool thread has been shared on the CF subreddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/CustomsForge/ Quick question, does the tool have the ability to see if the track has DD in it? Could it then apply a different img to the overlay if it does or not? (see attached gif) Personal opinion re default colours, they should be the same as the colours of the paths in game. Refer to my post in the original discussion thread and the attached Gif. http://customsforge.com/topic/15581-customs-tag/?p=129361 http://i485.photobucket.com/albums/rr216/zagatozee/Album-Tags---Alternate---large-chevrons-gif_zps9vni8xs7.gif
  18. Just an update - I have re-released Extreme, He-Man Woman Hater - with a full new lead sync (previous version was bad on lead) and made lead more than just epic solos, but more interestingly for the championship - I have also put out 3 versions of it. 200bpm insane sweep picking and tapping BumbleBee intro Only (1m40s long) - http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/he-man-woman-hater-flight-of-the-wounded-bumble-bee-intro-only-r14191 No Intro version - http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/he-man-woman-hater-not-incl-intro-r14192 Full track as on album - http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/he-man-woman-hater-incl-intro-r5132 You may want to update the options in the master class to reflect this. The Non Intro version should be achievable (90+%) for the better masterclass participants. Lead has Dweezil Zappa solos and some of Nuno's riffing to make it more fun to play, while the Rhythm is just Nuno playing his riffs and the 1 semi solo he plays on that track.
  19. Could this be what you are after? https://youtu.be/yttPMHVNTDk
  20. I realise I am a week late chiming in here / reading this thread, but as the creator of Hurt, I figured I should read the comments and see if I can fix anything in the custom. I see several comments about notes registering, do we think it's an issue with the CDLC, or an issue with RS? Is there anything I can fix to make the track better? ( I released some other tracks today that may be good for master class - once a few people have had time to comment on them - Extreme / Nuno)
  21. In No particular order; Nuno Bettencourt Jimi Page Les Paul Tommy Emmanuel
  22. Cheers Alex, I appreciate the feedback. They are all in order...... Tracks are in order as they appear on the Greatest Hits album (where the audio came from to keep it consistent levels wise) and the solo's / riffs are in the order they come in each track. Fair call on Sweet Child, I cut the 6 minute track down to about 2:30 of playing - but that track has just that much of Slash soloing / riffing that it can't really be cut down too much more, I had contemplated ditching the opening riff to trim things down more - but as the whole CDLC came in under 20 mins I decided I could keep it, since it is rather iconic. Jungle is 4:30 cut down to about a minute in the CDLC - maybe 45 seconds of actual playing - perhaps it just feels like more once you are into it? As for tones, I normally don't bother that much with them, but I think I'm going to have to on this one. I need an acoustic, a general Slash/appetite era tone and one with wah for Civil War at-least..... Never mind the Izzy & Duff tones. I'm still messing about with other peoples CDLC's, trying to find the "right ones" to steal from as time permits.
  23. The audio is all from the Guns Greatest Hits album, just the first 9 tracks. This is intended as a Vol.1. If it proves popular and I have the time, a Vol.2 may get made.
  24. @PC Plum and I have been messing about with a compilation of Slash Solos for about a week now. 25 solos and riffs, from 9 songs in 20 minutes. Lead, Rhythm and Bass are included - this is really intended as a Lead CDLC primarily (Plum forced me to add Rhytyhm/Bass) - however please provide any feedback you can, stating which path you played. We already have picked up a few very minor issues with the CDLC that will be tweaked prior to database submission, this release is intended to try and find any others. For the moment, basic tones are applied to prevent game crashing - no custom tones(yet). DD is applied and seems to be working (please feel free to extensively test this). Very minimal work has been done on the tech notes - another week of work is likely needed to make them amazing - however my free time doesn't really allow that for the moment - maybe in a future update. Please, any and all feedback welcome. PC with DD - https://copy.com/g4AhM7kcDKVkWTed?download=1 - (DD options used, v.2.6 - Default / Default Phrase length 15) PC without DD - https://copy.com/yAyog3daCMJ6Xori?download=1
  25. The problems you have listed are almost identical to the ones I raised as well. Ignition as you see it now is a W.I.P. Many improvements are coming, but they don't get updated to the live version immediately. Make sure you have had a read of this post - http://customsforge.com/topic/15192-ignition-pro-tips-and-faq/ For now however, the old search still works, http://search.customsforge.com/-1
