  1. Jeez, that's amazing...I can only imagine! sleepy
  2. I'd love to see more Dead CDLC! I've been a fan for a while, and I think most people don't give them the credit the deserve...all other things aside, these guys are some great musicians! I've played the Casey Jones track and was blown away by how difficult it was. Granted, I'm still a beginner, but there was quite a bit more going on than I ever expected from listening to the song, especially on bass. sleepy
  3. I've been listening to the Allman Brothers Band: Live at Fillmore East album. Duane is just ridiculous, and Berry Oakley really holds it down on bass: http://youtu.be/645i2cFZfG4 Yeah, Detroit punk! m/ The documentary regarding this band is available on Netflix streaming, btw.
  4. Hi Unleashed2k, Thanks for the response! I was unaware that the present system was purchased, or even how/why it works the way it does. If it's something that will have to be discarded in order to be changed, then I wouldn't worry about it...it isn't a show-stopper, and the part about it contributing to low comments was speculation on my part, I don't have any data to back that up. This thread was just to find out more information and/or foster discussion, which it has. If you feel it's worth exploring alternatives or investigating further, please do; but please don't do so at the expense of past donations or taking time away from more pressing programming matters. Thanks, sleepy
  5. Hello, I was wondering why the video playthrough discussion threads have a link to view the video in a separate window/tab instead of just embedding them directly? It seems a bit awkward to have to view the video in a separate instance of customsforge and then come back to the discussion thread to discuss. Many of these playthrough discussion threads have very few, if any, comments and I wonder if this is part of the reason. Thoughts? sleepy
  6. No worries, I definitely understand that approach...slow and steady is just fine by me. Thanks again! sleepy
  7. I've only played through this once, but it seems very well made and it was a blast! Definitely above my current abilities, but I found that I enjoyed it more when I manually set RR to about 40% across all sections and pushed myself. At the lower levels I wasn't getting a good feeling for what the song is actually doing or supposed to sound like...certainly nothing you did incorrectly when creating the custom, some songs are just like that when there are so few notes. Please keep the Chulahoma project going and let me know if you need testers, etc. :) sleepy
  8. Here's mine: http://i.imgur.com/NaGd330.jpg On the left is my Epiphone Les Paul Jr., and on the right is my Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Special. I've had the LP for about six months and it only cost $10 at a garage sale! I've had the Jaguar for about a month and I also got it used. I found it on the Guitar Center website for $99 and free shipping...who says you can't find good cheap gear?! :D sleepy
  9. http://i.imgur.com/tUzgCQ0.gif Seriously, thank you. I absolutely love this album. I'm assuming there are no bass parts, right? I think this album was done when the Keys were still just Dan & Pat... sleepy
  10. I couldn't agree more. I have been playing acoustic guitar for about three years, electric guitar for about a year or so, bass only since January and only in Rocksmith. Most of my guitar percentages in RS are like piepesado's or worse...mostly 70s, a few 80s and a couple 90s, but not many. My bass progress, however, is much better with most tracks in the high 80s and 90s with a few +100s. Mutant John's point became very clear to me when I tried the CDLC for Jammin' by Bob Marley (created by UKLooney, I believe). It's a relatively simple track and I think I hit +95% on my first try. However, hitting all the notes correctly is only half the battle as my ears quickly pointed out. If you don't have the groove down in this song, it just sounds like a string of notes...definitely not Jammin'. Just goes to show you that 'simple' is definitely not the same as 'easy'. sleepy
  11. Excellent, thank you! This is one of the very first riffs I ever learned on electric guitar. :) sleepy
  12. In another thread, flameout101 supplied the location of the save file: While not a fix for the problem, you could back up this file to another location each night and at least you'll have a good copy to put back in place the next time RS corrupts the save file. sleepy
  13. Just wanted to say thanks for the bass tracks! sleepy
  14. Damn, that sucks...you have my condolences! And thanks to flameout101 for listing the location of the save file... /runs to make a backup! sleepy
  15. http://i.imgur.com/AVy4uix.gif sleepy
  16. Excellent...moar Sabbath!!1  sleepy
  17. Tortex green for guitar, orange (or thinner) for bass. sleepy
  18. These lesson customs are great, thank you very much! sleepy
  19. I play all three, but much less lead than rhythm and bass. sleepy
  20. oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy oh boy!!1 :D sleepy
