@ fripponomic  Another cool song from your band. This is one of the ones that I like more because I like such tunes, calm atmospheric sound of the verses and the stronger chorus and solo!

    20240504232741-1.jpg

I played this a long time ago, so instead of looking for an old scrren, I played it again. This is a song where the bass chart is much more interesting than the guitar, but it also sounds good.

From the new album. Difficult for me, like most Judas songs. This may even be 8.5.

  2. I'll just add:

@ BubbleWrapDragon  I also had problems with recognizing notes in solo of the song Scarlet Begonias. So it seems that the fault is clearly on the CDLC side, in some CDLCs I have poor recognition and, despite many years of playing, I still don't fully understand what causes it...

@ jimmy655  I mentioned earlier that it is difficult to rate the difficulty of a chart like the one in the song California Dreaming. I don't think this chart deserves more than a 5.5/6, and the scores are lowered by unrecognized pull-off notes. Despite this, in this song we play on one string and on similar frets, while, for example, in Slash song we have to move much more and jump between strings.

Anyway, you achieved over 99.5% on Slash song rated 7 (the highest rating for the advanced class), which promotes you to the masterclass on bass. If you think it was too easy and you don't want to level up yet, just write in the new week's topic.

  4. Bass

I rated this a bit too low first time, the riff at the 12th fret and the quick transition down makes it more than a 2.5. Although I succeeded in this attempt.

    20240427193748-1.jpg

Type of chart problematic for difficulty rating. Generally, this is not so difficult because we playing mainly on one string and similar frets, but the large number of pull-offs makes it easy to get misses.

    20240428004820-1.jpg

    Need to improve!

    20240427233534-1.jpg

This is a really difficult chart to get high accuracy in Rocksmith. I feel like I got a lot of random misses here. But it's really fun to play!

  5. Mainly from testing

    Lead

I'm not sure if this deserves a difficulty 3. I thought 2.5, but I gave a 3 because of the rather fast licks with pull-offs. The rest is the vocal line and is quite easy.

    20240428000732-1.jpg

Here the chat is similar for all paths. It doesn't seem overly difficult, but there may be problems with accuracy due to a lot of pull-offs.

    20240429220123-1.jpg

I played this again today after a few months and I improved a bit, but it's a difficult chart to get a high score for me. Other than that, this is a fun song!

    20240429214345-1.jpg

A really fun to play Slash song, glad I got to see him and the rest of the band live recently!

@ Mikson  is she the Polish ESC contestant that year? Cool song really

No, there will be another young generation singer. I admit that I don't follow the national Eurovision qualifying rounds, so I don't really know who's taking part and what determines the selection.
Anyway, Sanah is one of the most popular (if not the most popular) Polish singers of recent years, I know her mainly from the radio, but I know that she can attract tens of thousands of people to a concert, mainly young fans 😉

Question for the bass players:  My four-string bass setup doesn't really work if I try to tune below Drop D.   Just curious whether people playing tunings like D drop C on a tuned down 4-string, or a tuned-up five string?   Thanks in advance for sharing your advice, and thanks for the opportunity to participate here!

It's possible that you have quite thin strings on your bass, on my 4-string bass I have no problems with tuning to D Std/D drop C, it's only when the tuning is really low that I start having problems.

  9. Lead+

90 achieved, but I can't imagine getting close to 99% here. This riff part with slides, hammer-on/pull-off and stretching to frets 2-7 is problematic for me. The arpeggio part at the 12th fret is quite easy once you get the hang of it, but I have some problems with recognition.

    20240422203656-1.jpg

This is quite fast, I think this is a little more than 4, maybe 4.5/5.

    20240422204142-1.jpg

A difficult chart to play from sight reading, I will try to improve it a bit later, the minimum plan is to achieve 90%.

    20240422210621-1.jpg

Here's an old screenshot from when I tested this about a year ago. I just remember this being close to GoG level.

Amazing scores! You are clearly beyond the capabilities of advanced level players, it seems to me that you easily represent the mastercass level according to championship standards. I already noticed this when you beat my score by a few percent on last week's song, which was really difficult to achieve high accuracy. Of course, you can still compete in the advanced class, but expect easy wins, which may become boring, so I recommend trying something from the masterclass 😉

Why does RS recognition gotta be so bad, it's really demotivating😩Or something is wrong with my guitar

I tend to have recognition problems more often in lower tunings, so D Drop C may be important here.

    11 hours ago, BubbleWrapDragon said:

I think I could do 99%+ if it works properly but even the arpeggio notes are not recognized at times for me right now. Tried to adjust a lot of things which made it a little better but it's still very unreliable. Was looking forward to rank up with this song once I saw what it looks like😕

Wait, you can achieve 99% here, unbelievable? I played this chart once and it's really not easy, fast riffs on stretched frets, arpeggios, etc.

And I don't really understand why you have such pressure to promote to the master class. This is a completely different level, even if I achieved 99% here, I wouldn't want to level up, because I know that I am very far from having the skills to compete in the masterclass.

  13. Bass

It was the first time I played bass with a capo, I used a guitar capo and it worked 😄

    20240418220007-1.jpg

Rather too easy for 5, more like 4.5. Diff rating 5 may cause promotions to be too easy!

    20240418220540-1.jpg

Here, the empty D string (blue) should be played on the 5th fret of the A string (yellow). Then it's much easier to play these mutes.
