  6. Well at least I got a good improvement on the bass part. My hand cramps tell me that I've worked on the lead all week, my score swears I haven't improved much. Might get in a little more practice after work tonight if I'm lucky. See if I can inch this thing to 90. --Wren

  9. A late start for me this week, for reasons already posted. I have played this before, and 100%'ed it, but anyway: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKUGZld2F1VVlZaDQ/view?usp=sharing It seems I Iike knorks... :o https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKSkMyRDJrY2ZJbjA/view?usp=sharing This is never a 9: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKNkRxbW1xdzhiSlk/view?usp=sharing But this is probably easier (not a lot): https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKNTJvYmNQYUltSHM/view?usp=sharing and I forgot to screenshot it at the right time.

  13. @@HawaiianPunchGuy Did you contact any of those "lazy fuckers" to offer your help in the first place? Note that if you actually are capable of creating CDLC, you could always become a magna charter and benefit from the adoption system which would allow you to do exactly what you want without any kind of problem.

  14. I for one, take exception to being called a "lazy fucker" for not adding lyrics. I don't add them to my customs as I don't feel that they add anything. Getting the notes correct is more important to me.

  16. Awesome song, my favorite version is the live track with "The Killer whale Tank" rant. Shouldn't that be "killerwhaletank"?... all one word. Yes, Yes it should. My mistake, I've become accustom to spelling things out for people down here that just don't understand.

  17. R.I.P. Of course we will do this! @@RSjeffH - would you please choose a song of them, and test for difficulty? Rod Ok, Jeff - i took the time and tributed The Hip a bit until i found one that is also well playable for you in diff as you suggested it, so tribute is set and starts in 2morrows competition. Thanks @@Rodman, I look forward to your song selection. I like so many of the Hip songs and it seems that I really like the ones that exceed my playing ability.

  19. Alright 12 things, er 2 . . 2 things. 1) Ow 2) Why is F to C such a pain in my arse. Continuing to work on this one, couple more days in the week right. Also starting to practice my sight reading again with the real book. Can't figure out notes nearly as fast on the guitar as I can sight read on a trumpet, so I can't figure out the notes and play them in tempo which is frustrating a bit, but great fun figuring it out and as I figure out the patterns on my hands I can start to figure out the cadence. --Wren

  24. Meh, better score than it felt like. Sounded horrible, too many flubbed notes, plenty of time left to practice this week though. Bar chords are killing me wimpy hands on the lead part. I'll probably post a score on it tomorrow. --Wren

  25. I read a lot of what was mentioned here, but not all of it. The way I see it is this.. If you can play along with 100 songs on Rocksmith.. odds are.. you can play the guitar. If you know it or not..that is a different story. But, if you find a chord pattern in a song you like.. then take a strum pattern from a different song... add a few touches of things you personally like.. Guess what?! You just made a song. You don't NEED to know music theory, you don't NEED to know scales. If you have ears, and a good sense of music then you can play the guitar just based upon playing along with Rocksmith. If you are not musically inclined, and you are one that will have to work for it.. then yes. You may need support in music theory and the likes. BUT.. even if you know every bit of music theory and the likes, without practice it means nothing. Just because you know exactly how something is played, doesn't mean that you are physically able to play it.. hence Rocksmith can teach you to play and create your own stuff. Just a matter of if you have the ear and creativity for it.

  26. Such a nice song with hammer lyrics... It means: "Brush your teeth - toilet and straight bedways!" and tells the story of a poor poor bandmember who is followed by that sentence as his karma the whole life through. Since a few weeks my kids sing that one all of the time ;) http://up.picr.de/30674723ca.jpg @@MaZtoR - absolute insane score on that advanced song! YD, just for fun i pressed record on my equipment to capture the guitar line fed by my amp to see how that sounds - and i swear shxx is the lil brother of what was to be heard on that recording :) I´m on the edge of the speed to get those notes all the way and with a lil effort could make it a 92 or somewhat, still would sound like hell.
