  3. @@fripponomic i'm looking forward to Red Baron and Stratus. Great job. @@JokerTheAnarchist You've probably heard of Guthrie Govan but maybe not with Bryan Beller (for the bassists too) and Marco Minnemann. Lots of tasty ideas throughout this. (If you watch/enjoy then buy the album/dvd. Bloody millennial freeloaders pushing up the price of my gig tickets!!) Anyone reckon they could offer any Aristocrats transcriptions in the future?! I'm getting alright at transcribing in Guitar Pro, but this is daunting!! Is making customs much more of a challenging step beyond that?

  9. I've noticed recently I have some new cdlc in my list that start with "you" as the artist. I believe they are simply practice arrangements. I was wondering if there was a specific area of the site to check these out and pick up any that I may not have. I tried typing in "you" and "you bass" into the search but came up with over 700 pages to look through and wasn't able to find any going through 20+ pages. Any ideas or suggestions?

  10. left hand, right hand or both ? most important thing is to stay relaxed Right hand. I play finger style/finger picking style, if that makes a difference, I can't use a pick. I generally use three fingers during the faster sections, but like I said, my fingers get pretty tired. I am making progress, yesterday my (right) hand was dead tired after playing through Under the Red Cloud twice, today I managed to play it three times before they gave up on me. :) I try and keep both of my hands relaxed, but do find my self tensing up from time to time. So any more advice?

  11. I played this at the weekend, but my cable was playing up. So I'll just post my second go instead: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKWktWeGdZN3VCNVU/view?usp=sharing I've got my ABY switch and things are a lot better. I even gave the U2 a go: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKT3loTlFsaTg2Vm8/view?usp=sharing I wondered if it was one of those songs that you really don't like to listen to, but quite enjoy playing... But it's not. :D Anyway - on to my class. Rated a 7, I'd agree, it's at least a 7. So do I have a chance to level up this week? https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B49Qq-EFnmrKbmNGODhrUjN1c1k/view?usp=sharing In any case, I have work to do. I can't have @@Rodman catching up with me... :P Hang on, Johnny's been rated a 6? Get off...

  14. @@asgerrud and @@raynebc this is due to a lack of section and phrase in the CDLC so the camera stay fix and doesn't move anymore at all (while it was handled a bit differently before the remastered). Add section and make a proper CDLC first or you'll end up with tons of bugs that will cripple your CDLC. http://customsforge.com/topic/33365-rocksmith-remastered-discussion-part-2/

  17. @@JokerTheAnarchist, if you like Jazz music you could google for it or just search youtube. If you like old guitar Jazz you could try some Django Reinhardt, he has many fast tunes. Or more smooth with Wes Montgomery, but very nice sometimes (he also have some very fast tunes). If you like it more modern search for jazz/fusion or jazz/rock.

  18. It's not about being too young.. Based on this you could say I'm too young to know Megadeth because I was born in '97. I just never got into jazz and fusion music. I'm interested in it, I just don't really know where to start. The kind of jazz I'd listen to is one with fast tempos and solos all over, I don't know where to find that though. I enjoyed the song though. Well synth and organ solos are impossible to replicate on guitar, I just shredded my ass off roughly following the chart, the song has a fun vibe to it though with that main melody. I'll make a video.

  19. You are probably too young to know him. Billy Cobham is an amazing Jazz & Fusion drummer, playing that stuff since the early 70's. This is one of his early projects and Quadrant 4 is a real classic song written by him, covered by many others later. I saw him a few years ago in my region playing live with a newer project, Paradox, with Bill Bickford on guitar and Wolfgang Schmid on bass. There they also played Quadrant 4, and I've bought their album this evening with Q4 and some newer songs. Really great stuff if you like this kind of music. At this custom at the Lead Bonus I transcribed the organ originally played by Jan Hammer including the first solo for the hardcores like you, amazing score you got, congrats. For me it is too many notes to play, just cannot survive the first solo without lot of practicing work, so that'd be my best. http://up.picr.de/27958730ww.jpg

  20. Good morning , here are some early scores, on Bass, I enjoyed playing this one, nice easy(ish) tune to start with probably be blown out of the water with a better score, but happy wit this for now. Next up we have U2. Not my favourite band in the world and quite how Paul Hewson spent a career getting away with writing such shit lyrics is beyond me (not all songs of course, and just my opinion) but.......Really ? A mole, Digging in a hole, Digging in my soul, Excavation I suppose if i could do better i'd be flying my helicopter or driving my Bentley to work wearing silly glasses but it's hardly Lenon and McCartney is it ? anyway, a score. Lastly for todays Bass choices we have the drop tuned Amorphis which i didn't expect to like but quickly grew on me. As usual with this type of tuning I have recognition issues but I'm sure I'll improve on this during the week. I Feel i must apologise for my grumpiness.....it must be the Medicine :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
