Well there it is. Everything from A to Z I could think of. Its done in a step by step process. I will include time codes for skipping stuff you don't wish to watch and getting straight to the stuff that may be unclear. Those will be coming soon.

Right now I am encoding the new video but basically it covers every step in the process of making a custom song for Rocksmith 2014. I will post it in the tutorial's section when it is done uploading. If a moderator could kindly delete my old tutorial video thread and sticky/pin my new video thread up (When it is done) I would gratefully appreciate it! Thanks! The video is about an hour and a half long (compared to my old video of around 45 minutes) Covers everything I could think to cover. I will also be posting time codes for the things that are covered so people can skip to the section they are unclear on. I will update this thread and post the new video thread when it is done. Hopefully helps a lot of people out! This is the LAST one I am going to make xD I took everyones feedback from the first video and put it towards this one.

One week not enough for learn great songs this week challenge. Glad you guys are enjoying the songs. This is the reason I love the competitions as it gives us a wealth of music to learn that normally we would never even listen to and a lot that we have never heard of. Many of the bands and songs that have been chosen for these competitions I have never heard of just like the Amorphis song for this week. I find it awesome when I try the song for the first time and actually end up enjoying it a great deal. Sure there are going to be weeks where we may not like a particular song but I still try to play them as its always a great idea to branch out of your comfort zone every once in a while. This is why i try to stress everyone to put up songs on the song selection list so that everyone has a chance at getting a song they like picked and it gives us a tremendous amount of variety to play.

I just ended my daily Rocksmith session earlier than usual. I just downloaded some new customs, I tried them...and I'm pissed off. Most of the customs are missing sections, their tab sucks, the tones are weak or they cause a problem with the RS' tone mechanism and you have to restart the game, the audio quality sucks, there are missing arrangements etc... When I make a custom I usually sit with my guitar and play most of the tab and see if it's correct and test my custom many...MANY times to be sure that my custom will be at least playable. There are just too many customs that suck and I haven't got time to leave feedback on every of them. Let's be honest - most of the users don't even notice the problems, leave positive feedback and are happy that someone even made a song that they wanted. Some contributors even ignore the feedback just leaving the custom as it is. I can't understand that. We need an "approved section" or at least a "trash" in my opinion. I even made myself a "Trash" folder, which size will be rising... http://i.imgur.com/uvIG0pv.png I haven't still haven't played many of the customs that I downloaded and I have to re-play some to see if they're playable, but one is sure...I feel better somehow after posting this. I check the submitted CDLC area every day (to download customs and check for updates) and the number of weak customs is rising. We need to do something. I hope there are people that understand me.

thanks for the playthrough. The tones are amazing. My guitar doesnt sound like that. I have to say im really proud on this custom. Gonna fix the things you mentioned. But im quite overloaded with work. Cheers :)

Played it a few times in 70 and 80% speed, then used tabexplorer to learn the riff outside RS and came back and tried RR at full speed a few times. I must say it payed of a lot. Picked up my acoustic and practiced the riff for a bit. And then i wanted to see how much that helped. Have you tried using the search function?

On the top right of this page you will see a search bar if you click on "This Topic" a drop down menu will appear and you will then need to click "Members" Then search for the person you want to find

Reply to your post in a new message, in the editor 3rd icon in from the left is special bbcode. select it and use the drop down box to select 'member' then in the prompt type the persons name and you'll create a direct link to their profile...like this... @Rumrunner24

Let's not go back to an 'approved section'. We should keep everything in one section and maybe have an approved symbol next to songs which are approved.

One thing we should bear in mind is that we are not all expert custom song makers, nor are we all good guitar players. I know that not all dlc's are up to scratch but we shouldn't deter people from trying to make them, that might alter the great variety of customs we have here. I think it would be a good idea, for those customs that don't make the official list, to let the makers know what is wrong with their customs and to help them get their custom into the list. The more people we have making good customs the wider the variety of songs which can only be a good thing.

mate, do you mean on all that load of customs there's only 2 you had to trash? These are the customs I played today and trashed them today. I've got ca. 370 CDLC's downloaded and a bunch of them belongs to the trashcan, I just have to play them again, because I forgot which ones we're weak.

Great ideas here! I think the most rewarding ability while playing an instrument is to be able to play what you hear.I wonder why Rocksmith has not included such essential lessons in the original lessons.What we need is some ear training lessons. I don't know if it is possible to do but I imagine this:Rocksmith plays a riff and the player has to repeat that riff on guitar. The notes of the riff will be hidden like in mastermode.The first levels will be two note phrases. The first note will be shown and the second note has to be guessed. This lesson is very usefull to begin to hear the different note intervals.The more advanced levels will be three note phrases, four notes etc. until we play little melodies by ear.
