1. I see the winners list is wrong - it will be fixed soon. But not today.
2. Song selection done entirely by RNG.
3. Diff ratings are from the original selection list posters - I did test the songs and was really tempted to move some of the paths by 0.5 points up/down. Decided against it.
4. As always discussion on the ratings is encouraged. Personally I'm kinda iffy about rhythm adv, let me know if I got t wrong.
5. No matter what happens keep on rocking.

hmmm i think the scores might be wrong? i got 81 percent on radiohead and 90 on ragtm lead @ nlbsmglsk
and was promoted to masterclass rhythm last week 
edit: my bad,  i didnt see your post above saying the list will be changed later

Also... What makes the post appear publicly on the championship week topic? I noticed some weeks get updated to be on the forums week kinda late... like last weeks wasnt there and still isnt there. Is it a role specific thing aka only some people can do it? or what?

I'm finding the lead, Intermediate and Advanced songs to be the opposite. The Lead of  Riot which I've never heard before but my word it sounds great typical hair 80's metal my style  and the simon and garfunkle is a bit harder but thats just me, doesn't make much sense but I got 90% on the Simon song and 81% on the Riot song, maybe because I find the metal song more appealing, the power of music and all that.

If you mean what I think you mean then the threads on the top of the board are all pinned. Usually @ Rodman  pins the new weeks when he logs on. Like this:

If the thread is not pinned then you need to scroll a bit before you see it, but it's all there.

Yeah, since they're so different genres it's hard to compare. We can switch them if enough people agree.
Also, I see you have no class assignment. Where do you want to compete?

Phhh... Just back from Metallica live show yd - man, still so kickin.... like 17 songs - 5 or 6 from 72 seasons the rest all from Black album and before, yummy.
Esp. .. who would have thought - Lars ultramotivated kickin hard the whole show

ei grats on seeing metallica live!! 
kinda odd to see 5fdp and ice nine kills opening for them wouldnt ever have imagined. would have thought that they would be touring with older bands but i guess maybe its their way to keep a younger audience to go to their shows?

theres a couple of 5fdp songs that are blast to play on drums and i bet theyd be fun on guitar aswell but now that im thinking about it i dont think i have ever downloaded some for r2014 curiously...also im refereing to their 2007-2011 era..havent really heard their newer stuff might give it a go

personally never got into ice nine kills which is odd cause i really like post hardcore/metalcore / whatever you want to call it and horror movies...but it seems a bit to theatrical to me / boderline corny/cheesy.

but still good to see you enjoyed the concert!

pretty long song for a begginer. i think its rated a bit low theres been easier beginner songs imo.




leads main riff is kinda tricky to play..also broken chords in rhythm path makes it a bit hard to read whats going on/ think its probably harder to get a good score aswell




the most enjoyable/predictable out of the bunch for me. too bad its not just e standard tunning the weird tunning makes it unlikely that ill play it. i think the solos do require more technique so lead advance is a good choice..even if its just pentatonic soloing still challenging. good chart. although i still think its missing some bends.

the chord progression reminded me of spooky skeleton song for a second...but yea lots of shifting and couple of not so comon chords.

i forgot to take picture of bass but heres rock budys picture. Does this count/work?
also bass shifts alot not used to it..i think the song wouldve been easier to play using the other strings like he goes red 5 up to 12 yellow but 12 yellow is just a 7 blue which you already hit before because you did a 5 (7) octave before

thanks, I've recognized that it's all shapes I should already know.

I've played it at 50% speed for the last 30 minutes - and it is quite similar to a regular jazz song at that speed. Now I just have to get all the shapes down and learn to speed it up over the week

If you, or anyone else,  ever want to make it easier for songs with different tunings like that you could try to set up something like Reaper routing into Rocksmith.
There's a guide for streamers somewhere that explains the setup but It'd take probably an hour or so. 

With that setup I use the free Pitchproof FX from Aaegan Music to easily pitch shift for any non EStandard tunings, with the Detune knob also works for something like the A=448Hz too. I only need to retune my guitar for alternative tunings.
For  DropC in DStandard I also just have to tune the low E to D and use the plugin as well, it can be quite handy. It's not perfect but it's good enough for Rocksmith's recognition
