Ty for the compliment @ and thanks for the welcome @@MrGrogro I am going to try the IM song but its not showing in my RS menu right now, troubleshooting time. If I an get it in the 90% realm ill edit my post to be IM div. Ive only been playing 3 months though so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Edit: Lol I am a idiot, I didn't change the ID time to give it a go.

Edit 2: Yea not going to happen for the IM song. It a decent transcription, in key, on time, but has the bass shifting from the 6th fret to the 13th fret within a quarter note time frame. (then it does something i couldn't even read it went by so fast.) That doesn't work for me on a 32" scale bass. If someone could give me pointers I'd love to have them, but that just seems impossible for me on bass.

Edit 3: call me a super idiot, bass's have a 34" scale standard lol

Welcome. Now go and try to beat my score ;) I got 1.28M on the beginner song.

I've also been playing for about three month. Used to play electric 12 years ago for about half a year, was really bad at it. Then picked up bass 7 years after, played for couple months and then change of circumstances... haven't played until December of 2017.

no, you can take it. there really was no need in the call out. guessing you an get perfects on the beats? mine always reads early even when I know I'm exactly on time.

I rarely get perfect :( it's also either Good or Late, idk why. I think the scoring actually depends on the song played. Some songs I get mostly perfect and some mostly good - even though the difficulty and beat is similar. I suppose the makers of CDLC could shed more light on this :)

Yea i would really like to know why that is too. I spent 30 mins just messing around with my lag correction settings trying to get it to read perfects properly and it didn't seem to make a difference. I was getting a lot of goods, but for some reason RS was dropping my combo even though I was playing the correct notes, that's when i decided to say screw it. (Better to say screw it then get mad and break something important, like my bass or computer.)  O well I'll take my last place finish, not like it's a new feeling.

I usually don't get jetlagged and i have been home since saturday night. But I'm still really tired all the time.  So i felt i had no mental power to tackle something hard today.

The beginner song went well tho.

This cdlc sometime have fluctuations in beatmap regarding of sounds, +-25 ms ( i look in EOF), so you  getting notes on screen late (or early) on  ~25 ms

+ a RScable have a latency ~15 (in good case), +output audio buffer ~15

+ some your early(late) sound picking -10 ms(if you tried to get "perfect"),

->summary ~50 ms will not give a perfection.

Check setting in RS about Display delay, adjust flashes for accuracy hit in beat

And look ini file RS and try to setting a minimum count buffer and a size of buffers (depends of the audiocard or chip).

My ini an example:

LatencyBuffer=1

MaxOutputBufferSize=144

No one to take advantage of a sick Roddy but hey ho  :P

I also got 99.41%, 99.60%, 99.70% tonight so i'm pretty much getting the hang of this song, but there is just one bit i trip up on so a little time on RR is required me thinks

I switched latency buffer to 1, and my max buffer was at 0 so i left it. took all the display lag out too, it helped a little. I also figured out the registration problem, my nut was still cut a little high and causing notes to read sharp. Now i have open e string fret-buzz buzz but its reading only 5 cents sharp.

I never liked that song, and i don't find it really fun to play on bass. I don't plan on trying improving it.

This song is just..... WTF

Finaly, this one was pretty fun, really cool band

Now i just have to try playing Ne Obliviscaris even if it's not in the Cs for bass.

If you settled size buffer =0 (or empty) thereat RS selects some default size buffer, he is not equal to zero. In some cases this may be optimal, but not always. (also for the number of buffers)
