Hey guys, I wanted to learn the bassline to Remind Me by Patrice Rushen so I went ahead and learned how to make CDLC. I've uploaded v2 to the database here. I got the tab from DarthMart (YouTube link). While I'm not done yet, much of the work was done for me, so props to him for the awesome work. So far, I still need to do the lyrics but after looking at a tutorial for how to do them, I haven't had the time and I'm not 100% familiar with the song yet. I'll get to it but if anyone's up for the challenge, I'll send the song file over. The bass tone is currently September by Earth, Wind, and Fire and it sounds decent but doesn't quite match the original. The bassline in the original is actually a synthesizer and not a bass guitar so I'm not sure how close it can get but this is my first CDLC so if anyone has suggestions for a better tone from a different song please leave a reply or if you want to make a tone let me know and I can send you whatever files are needed. Hi all, I'm still working in parallel on different CDLCs and feel like I learn a bit more every time, not only on CDLC creation, but also guitar playing (learning how things work makes me realize lots of things) Last time, firekorn gave me precious advices, and I wonder if someone would be kind enough to test my latest upload and give me some more. Here is the link (Familiar Taste Of Poison by Halestorm) A few things: As I wrote in the description, the Bonus track is just for fun, that's the vocal part I wrote to sync the lyrics. I know it's a bit weird, but I kinda like to play it, even if it's definitely not meant to be played on guitarI wonder if it would work singing it on a microphone [of course using the same octave] Probably not, or at least it would be far from perfect as it's not been designed to Bass is in Drop C... That's super low, but I'm confident it's how it's supposed to be played, and the sources usually agrees with itOn the Lead part, I switch between the arpeggio (which represents 90% of the song to be honest) and the riffs. This is my first CDLC (Koichi Korenaga - Let me Go, Let You Go) and I feel it still needs work. The tones at least need some help. The transcription isn't my own work. I received it as a Christmas gift. The work was done by Simon Revill. I personally think he did an awesome job. As many people have complained in the past, Rocksmith has been severely lacking in the blues department. Seeing how this is my favorite genre to both play and listen to, I feel it is my duty to help expand the list of classic blues songs in the Rocksmith library. I am hoping to be bringing you all some of the great songs from Golden Age of electric blues, predominantly the late 40s to the late 50; which means a whole bunch records from Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Jimmy Reed, Jimmy Rogers, Eddie Taylor, and other bluesmen and women who had such an impact on the history of popular music. As this is my first foray into the world of making CDLC, I cannot guarantee that songs will come out at a steady pace. Welcome to my vault / workshop I decided to create a thread here so I can share what I am working on and also engage with my peers for help and suggestions along the way. I enjoy a good range of music, from Classical to Metal (while sidestepping Country & Western *shudders*). So my selections will appear to be random with no specific genre. When it comes to playing ability I am a beginner, so some of the things I create I can't test myself, other than a few notes here and there as I try and match tones. I'll probably never consider anything I work on to be 100% complete, even when published, and will always try to revisit to make tweaks and improvements where I can. Released Released Anime/J-Rock WIP (Work In Progress/Un-Released) Gold (Released Section) = Favorites Light Blue (WIP Section) = Finished. Awaiting Testing/Tone Change

This one is definitely a work in progress but I wanted to get something posted so the feedback can start pouring in like a biblical flood. PC Download Rhythm track shows an X for me, but if you click on it, it is there. Tones currently suck Arrangements:Lead - This will eventually include all the overdubbed reverby fills and solos, maybe 25% done. Right now, the first solo is pretty much complete and the second is started but that's about it.Rhythm - This is the same as alternate rhythm but with the bass drone removed, so you can play with a pick.Alternate Rhythm - This is the bulk of the song. It's about 90% done. It has a droning bassline on the open A string, so unless you have some insane string muting skills, you have to fingerpick this. It's supposed to be the default rhythm track but I put it in the wrong spot.

Okay, so since I was complaining about there being a lack of old school Visual Kei around here, I decided to get up off of my lazy butt and do one of the best. Malice Mizer. Hopefully everything's correct as far as tabs and charting. I had to actually cut the first 30 seconds and the last 20 or so seconds to make it fit into the sheet music and Rocksmith properly while editing in EOF. Right now, all I need is for someone to test out the file's paths and let me know if anything is off or incorrect, so I can fix them before hopeful release. (Or if it works for you at all!) What I have left to do is to add a custom tone to the Lead, as far as I can see. I tested it myself, but I would really appreciate more feedback. Is trying to give back to the community :p If everything goes well, I'll be making more. So here's hoping~! (It's my first-ever custom, so I hope it just goes smoothly. Well, I've been downloading songs for a little while now, loving all the incredible music and learning to play guitar and bass with some of my favorite artists. Regularly I'd hear a song on the radio that made me want to play, and I'd check to see if it was available for download. 99% of the time it's there, but this one wasn't. This is my first attempt at creating CLDC, so I'm sure there will be some bumps in the road. I'm also a novice guitar player, and just bought a bass about a month ago, so I probably won't be able to *play* what I'm creating! Oh well, part of the learning process! I did check The Big List and didn't find it, but I'm new to this portion of the CustomsForge forums, so I might have missed it.

https://www.mediafire.com/?3klckijc9g300fb This is my first nearly-complete RS2014 custom, and I've run into numerous problems with it. For one, the custom tones are failing to load for some reason. I also can't test out bass at the moment due to technical problems with my actual bass guitar. Finally, tuning seems off. Though I have the EOF file set to D Drop C (Tabs online also say that's what it should be), the Toolkit suggests EB Drop DB when I first load it, and even after manually changing it, it seems to have trouble detecting correct notes - I find that moving the actual notes I play up to be 1 additional fret higher than what the game is telling me to do registers fine for some reason. Can anyone help out with this? Here's the actual song for reference or those curious.

Progressive Music Project: As any of you might have guessed from the list of customs I've release and the ones released by others that I showed interested in the most, I'm a big fan of progressive music of any kind and the fact that the progressive tag can be applied to almost every genre is what makes it so enticing. The monotony of straightforward radio friendly pop, rock and metal is often to much for me and that's when I turn to the "dark" side of music, where I can unwind in ever evolving musical stories of intricate complexion, not only told by thoughtful lyrics but made alive by the voices of the instruments. I especially like progressive rock from the 70's, but not only the classics, also the more obscure stuff that didn't reach the masses, even though it was sometimes as good, if not better, as a lot of the most popular acts, but that's personal opinion. The same goes for the definition of what's progressive as well, because not all bands can easily be classified as such, but I'll stick with whatever's defined as progressive on http://www.progarchives.com/. There's of course different kinds of musicals: there's the simple song structured ones like "The Book Of Mormon" or "Wicked" and there's also the more progressive ones which work like classic music theatre, i.e. "Les Misérables" or most of Steven Sondheim's musicals. I am a big fan of both formats and I want to bring a nice variety of bits and pieces of all of the famous musicals to RS, but I would also appreciate every effort from other charters in this direction.
