  1. Hi raynebc, I have a odd thing happen that seems to be caused by the "accurate time signatures" option. These are the steps I took leading up to the occurrence: I started a new project, added some leading silence, adjusted the start position of the first measure, set the BPM. Next, I set an anchor point on measure 2, and then tried to adjust the beginning of measure 4. However, as soon as I position the beat and release the mouse button, the BPM of the first two measures double. I noticed that if I turn off the "accurate time signatures" option this doesn't happen, and if I reinstate it it then doubles all of the previous anchor point's BPM, except for the one I just set. See below: It could be that I don't understand how the "accurate time signatures" option is supposed to work, but I thought it odd, and that I should report it, just in case. Before: After:

  3. Hi Van-Blurten, I gave this a play through just now (all tracks). I'm a novice guitar player at best, but I believe the notes I his sounded about right. The Guitar tones sounded fine to me too. I thought the Rhythm track was quite good. I feel though, the Lead track has too many spaces; meaning you wait a lot for your next section to play. To make it more fun for the player, you may want to add some of the rhythm sections as fills for the lead - possibly some of the finger work from the rhythm track? There did seem to be some odd sections on the lead as well: for example, there were a bunch of notes you had charted as harmonics, but I'm not so sure they all were. Also near the end of the song there are a bunch of quick slides, that I think may be bends. But again, on guitar, my skillz lack yo. ;) The bass played well. I found the tone a little rubbery. Like it has a bit too much boing to it. Hard to describe. But nonetheless, not a showstopper for me - I use an external amp to hear myself better when I play, so it often drowns out the RS tone somewhat although I try to keep the levels somewhat similar with similar effects - I have a Bronco 40... But I digress... I'm a bit of a stickler when it comes to beat maps, and I think yours may be off some. I think the beat was either 8/4 or 4/4, but I'd have to give it another listen. But a 4/4 beat usually starts with the kick drum on the 1st beat and the snare on the 3rd beat. When looking at your waveform, the bass/kick drum looks like a thick red and green squiggle, whereas the snare is a thinner green spike. The high-hat usually sounds on every beat, but is often too quiet to be seen in a waveform graph, unless it's all that's being played. Try to match the first bass drum beat with the first beat of your measure. See below: The beat pictured here has a double bass kick at the start, and a snare on beats 2 and 4... maybe not the best example, but hopefully you understand what I'm trying to express.   5. They should be in your project folder. It will be the same folder that when you load EoF, you select the notes.eof file. If you didn't create a special folder, it will be under something like: C:\Program Files\eof1.8RC10(r1337)\Band Name - Song Name\PART REAL_GUITAR_RS2. If you sill can't find it, try searching for PART REAL_GUITAR_RS2, and your OS should find it.

  11. Hi all, I'm working on a song that sounds to me like it has a tremolo (wammy) bar that dips lower in pitch, and then goes higher. Is there a way to chart this in EoF? I imagine I could use a bend to chart the higher pitches, but EoF doesn't allow negative bend strengths. How would any of you in the CF community here chart this? Thanks for your help, Tysylio
  12. @@Laro I usually just Save As and make a new folder. When I'm done with the additional track, I rename it and paste it in the old folder where the other tracks are. When you pack your song, you add it as a bonus arrangement.

  14. When you add items to your collection, you essentially follow the item. You'll get notifications when the charter makes updates.
  15. @@raynebc, @@Alex360, But don't ever get to thinking that all your hard work is not appreciated! I'm sure many of us would just be players without you. That goes for all you developers out there. Sometimes just clicking the Thank and Like buttons just doesn't seem enough.
  16. Hi, Today I wanted to try importing a few songs to change the bass tones. I wanted to change the tones on the following songs: Triumph - Lay it on the line Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Hey hey, my my Black Keys - 10 Lovers I imported and successfully changed the tone for the Triumph song, but when try to import the other two, I get a Thread Exception, HERE is the log file. The error seemed the same to me on both the Neil Young tune, and the Black Keys one. Just to be certain, I tried importing the Triumph song again, and it worked fine, with no issues. I'm using Win7 and Custom Song Creator Toolkit version 2.6.1.0-89a5cb2f (updated today). Thanks for your help, Tysylio

  18. Hi ArguZ, You can use Link Next when editing a note to add a bend or slide at the end of a sustain. Link Next will hide the note head, and in game the sustained note will just tail-off with the slide/bend. See below: In your pic above, it looks like you've used link next, but your tech note is a bend, not a slide. You could eliminate the need of a tech note by building your slide this way, see below: This will appear in game as a sustain on fret 5, and then slide down to fret 1, and sustain until the next note (in this example, on fret 2). None of the link next notes will display note heads.

  20. I gave it a shot, but I don't use DropBox for that. Same result. I have another back-up software (Memeo Instant Back-up), I tried closing that, but again I get the same error. I'll try suspending the software going forward and see if I encounter the error again. Thanks for your help on this.
  21. I have received an error a couple of times now that I feel I should report. It has started since I updated to EoF r1366. It has happened when I try to save my work. The error reads: If I select No, it does not save, and if I select Yes, I get another window that reads: The one way I found to not lose all my work is to Save As, and create a new save file and folder. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if I'm doing something to cause this. It has occurred twice. The first time It happened almost as soon as I had updated to r1366, so I thought maybe EoF had trouble reading the files created by the earlier version I had been using (r1363). But this latest time, I had finished finished charting the rhythm track for my latest song in PART REAL_GUITAR, added the vocal track, saved, and then switched to PART REAL_ GUITAR_22 to begin the lead track. I set the capo, returned to the rhythm track copied 4 notes at the beginning of the song which are the same on both tracks, returned again to the lead track, pasted the notes, and tried to save but got this error again. Like the first time it happened, I Saved As, created a new folder, and it's OK. But if I open the old notes file, the error will occur every time I try to save that file. Here is my project folder. The root folder is the one that won't save, the New folder contains the saved as project as mentioned above.
  22. @@Daikano, I'd like to thank you and the other people involved, @@zerkz, @@firekorn, @, to name a few, and I know there are more, but to all of you who have contributed: Thank you very much for all of you efforts on this project, this opens up so many possibilities for Rocksmith, and truly demonstrates the creative genius of this community and how Rocksmith is so much more than a game. Without this kind of 'out of the box' thinking, many people like myself would still only be dreaming of picking up an instrument, or too frustrated with the tedious parts of learning to make that extra effort required to continue on this artistic journey. Rocksmith made it fun, your contributions make it truly engaging. Thank you very much!
  23. Definitely mitts... just ones large enough to fit a human. :P When your fingers all together, they can share the warmth. If you happen to be a smoker, or you need the dexterity of a single finger from time to time, there are gloves that have a fold-back mitten pouch to cover your fingers with. I find them good for when I need the warmth outside, but then want to feel my skin on the steering wheel of my car, or need to flip another driver the bird! ;) And I have to agree with @@Wepeel, it sounds like you need to moisturize; especially in the winter when the air can be very dry.
