    Amps!

this is pretty much what i do, i run a "livewire" aby switch to the amp, im using a power break on the marshall to keep the volume down to neighbor friendly levels while still overdriving the crap out of the tubes .. best of both worlds :D i keep my volume in rocksmith down to under 10% though .. i have soooo much lag, it sounds like im playing with a funky delay
  2. after my last guitar .. ive made a personal rule .. the number of guitars i may own is 7. 7 is the number of guitars i have. i may have 6 guitars, if i am in the process of getting a new one, 8 is too many guitars, and so, one must go. 9.. is right out! this way, i have the guitars to enable me to play any style, tuning, or song i wish. and i am forced to always upgrade .. never down.

    Amps!

this is my new setup (for now) Marshall JCM2000 head paired with marshall JCM900 1960a cabinet loaded with celestion g12t-75s im using a thd hotplate power attenuator to keep it from peeling the paint off the walls, and splitting the signal between the amp and rocksmith. http://imgur.com/AkLpgjz.jpg
  4. Why weren't they just edited from the back-end? Then there would be no need to have people do it themselves. while it would be easy .. trivial even to edit the database, the data in the database should accurately match what the file has. it would be a disservice to change the entry in the sql, and NOT change the version in the cdlc. and only the creator of the cdlc should do that.
  5. Something else you may want to look into, is taking an online course from a university. I am taking "Fundamentals of Music Theory" from the University of Edinburgh. Its not guitar centric (as a proper theory class should be). and its free. Quoting from the website: This course, from the University of Edinburgh's Reid School of Music (recently ranked first in the UK), is suitable for those who have never studied music academically. It will introduce you to the theory of Western music, providing you with the skills needed to read and write Western music notation, as well as to understand, analyse, and listen informedly. the link to the course is at https://www.coursera.org/course/musictheory

  15. Mediafire ramps up its security measures, the more you use it, the harder they make you work for it. to the point that its next to impossible to use. If you only download a few things, mediafire doesn't care, as you get more, the obstacles become increasing in number and difficulty to the point where its simply not worth it .. i could chart the song myself faster than i could download it Most people that download files, only get one, two per day, and would not subjected to the measures that mediafire has in place to make a profit from its users. While I understand that mediafire is easy to use, and it's free, there are so many alternatives out there that do not make you jump through hoops to use. dropbox.com, zippyshare.com mega.co.nz, and google drive are a few that spring to mind that are not only free to use, they do not present you with popups, captchas or viruses when you try to use them.
  16. Welcome Frost! i'll try to answer your questions as best as i can. 1. After downloading the PS3 version of the songs do I need to convert them or are they good to go ? Although most customs are created for pc, some customs creators make ps3 versions as well, either way, you can easily convert them to ps3 format using the Rocksmith Toolkit. 2. How do I bring the songs over to my PS 3 After you jailbreak your ps3 (yes this is necessary), Install files: "_ps3.psarc.edat" to "/dev_hdd0/game/BLUS31182/USRDIR/DLC", if the folder DLC does not exist, just create it. 3. Would a PS3 Super Slim accept the custom songs (DLCs) ? PS3's manufactured after june of 2010 came with firmware later than 3.55 and can not be downgraded or jail broken since you require 3.55 or earlier to jail break a ps3, to my knowledge, all ps3 slim's fall into this category (trust me, i feel your pain on this one).
  17. I am trying to use the CLI tool to unpack a song and it is giving this error. any ideas or help would be appreciated C:UsersizzyDesktopRocksmith Custom DLC ToolsRocksmithCustomSongToolkit-v2.6.0.0-4174fc7b3141_PC>packer.exe -u wingsofmadness_p.psarc Unhandled Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set toan instance of an object. at packer.Program.Main(String[] args) in c:buildRocksmithToolkitCLIpackerProgram.cs:line 124
