  1. No cable launcher is obsolete and hasn't been updated to work on the new version. Use direct connect mode from rsmods to achieve the same effect. https://www.reddit.com/r/rocksmith/comments/y6bhpf/rocksmith_2014_remastered_crashing Try to get it working without any mods first (or just rsmods to prevent certain crashes), and then add the cdlc dll + rsmods. If it still crashes without D3DX9_42.dll, xinput1_3.dll or avrt.dll in the folder it's likely being caused by an audio device conflict or one of the other many device conflicts that can cause the game to crash for seemingly no reason (certain mice, tablets or programs).
  2. Try using the rstotab built into rstoolkit instead of the standalone app, worked fine for me https://www.mediafire.com/file/whsisb1inbcrcfu/Steel+Panther+-+Asian+Hooker.gp5/file
  3. _ps3.psarc.edat file is the custom song format for PS3. You need to convert standard pc p.psarc files to it using rstoolkit.
  4. Are the songs showing up in rocksmith and not cfsm, or just not showing up in either? If so, you could have 2 installs and have been putting them in the wrong dlc folder. Double check they're in the same folder as the rest by right clicking on a song in cfsm and clicking "open song location".
  5. The installer is currently the wrong version on the site, try this one https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aD6Yb0XYl1a8tWOKmyGV_VPtoAhwvkNt/view or you can install the dll manually. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/901-how-to-use-custom-dlcs-in-rs2014-remastered/ https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1ZKYtpB0vu2U3RLa1ZvdmxJczg/view?usp=sharing
  6. Notes above fret 21 are set to ignore so they don't affect percentage in-game for people who can't play them, but if you still wanna fix them the best you can get it probably this. Track, pro guitar, set number of frets/strings Set it to 22 and click highlight conflicts. Now you can spot them easier to modify. If you get no warning when changing the max fret value all of the notes are under the limit and you have nothing to change.
  7. I used to tune up my 7 string to drop B for this kinda thing since most of utsu-p's songs were at least this low before he swapped to an 8 string. Got a set of 10-56 on there which'd be 13-56 for a 6 string ignoring the high E. Works pretty well to around drop G but they do get a bit tight when if you tune them up all the way to C# standard (no breaks so far though). This'd also depend on your scale length too though but it sounds like an interesting experiment. Also make me wonder on submitting low tuned songs to the ssl, I've charted a fair bit of songs in this sort of tuning (and lower) but have been put off adding any of them because of the tuning/instrument requirements. I think having some 7/8 string stuff could be interesting given the different playstyles/techniques used as the tunings get lower and cfsm/dlc builder could be used to pitch shift the tones.
  8. Had to do give this one a go. Need to play seabed again at some point. Quite like this, nice song and pretty fun to play. Rip clean bit.
  9. The installer is being a bit dodgy lately, you'll have to install the dll file manually into your rocksmith folder. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/901-how-to-use-custom-dlcs-in-rs2014-remastered/ https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1ZKYtpB0vu2U3RLa1ZvdmxJczg/view?usp=sharing
  10. Being on an external drive will make no difference, the dll installer is just having some issues lately so you'll have to install the dll manually. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/901-how-to-use-custom-dlcs-in-rs2014-remastered/ https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1ZKYtpB0vu2U3RLa1ZvdmxJczg/view?usp=sharing

  12. If you're getting the piracy error the cdlc enabler you're using is expecting a different game version. If it let you install it it probably wouldn't work properly on that version of the game. So if you're still using running your old installer for cdlc enabler or are on the beta branch of rocksmith you'll be getting this error. You could try installing the latest dll manually to the root of your rocksmith folder but if you're on the wrong version your game will just crash. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1ZKYtpB0vu2U3RLa1ZvdmxJczg/view?usp=sharing
  13. If you're getting the piracy error the cdlc enabler you're using is expecting a different game version. Same thing happens for rsmods, even if it let you install it it wouldn't work on that game version. If you're just running your old installer for cdlc enabler/rsmods or are on the beta branch of rocksmith you'd also get this error so you'd need to download the new ones yourself. Could try installing the dll manually tho. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1ZKYtpB0vu2U3RLa1ZvdmxJczg/view?usp=sharing
  14. Yep it's true, the standard audio quality for odlc and most cdlc is 128k. The audio file is like 95% of the file size and increasing it any more will quickly add up for a rather small benefit most people probably won't notice (especially once you start playing over it). If you use the rstoolkit (instead of the much better dlc builder for some reason) you can change the maximum quality. For the audio quality to bitrate conversion look here and make sure you don't downsample in eof by accident when adding leading silence. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/36486-cozy-keepers-musings-and-how-tos/
  15. Pretty fun on bass. Guitar is a bit eh, too much waiting.
  16. You'll probably have to remove DD from the xml files with the toolkit before importing them into eof but after importing the psarc, this vid unfortunately misses that step. https://youtu.be/LdvFKvX1T04?t=713 Once you get into EOF click on the beat arrows at the top and use shift + S to add sections, tick the "automatically add rs phrase" box too. Then just follow the rest of the vid on how to repack it.
  17. You'll have to re run the mac cdlc patch. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/901-how-to-use-custom-dlcs-in-rs2014-remastered/&do=findComment&comment=372455 https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/33889-how-to-add-custom-songs-on-mac/&do=findComment&comment=371300
  18. From the sound of it your settings changed since most of these can be "fixed" by adjusting your preferences. I think this one could be a side effect of whichever input method you have selected or maybe the "Add new notes to Selection" option Tick new notes are made 1ms long. Chords/notes with the black background have the crazy status, it can be toggled with the T key. Since it gets re-added it's being applied automatically somehow by your settings. For it to be auto applied to chords I think it'd either be the "Chord Density Threshold" setting or the "Apply crazy status to repeated chords separated by a rest"
  19. If you've got the game installed twice it'll only use the dlc folder that's in the same folder as the exe you launch the game from causing songs to be "missing" depending on which one you run. So if you're launching the game from steam you should find out which one it's launching by browsing the local files and then delete the other rocksmith installation to prevent confusion. You should also probably merge the dlc folders before deleting so you don't lose any songs.
  20. Pretty good chart. Not too bad, just a bit long. Hardest bit is probably adjusting to the band not playing on time. Guess I'll have to SA at somepoint.
  21. Finally finished it, enjoy https://ignition4.customsforge.com/cdlc/45098
  22. Guess the new update changed something since it used to work fine for me too. I tried repacking the file in dlc builder and regenerated all the ID's/keys but it still crashes for some reason. I'll remake the whole song from scratch tomorrow since I've now got the tab book to work off and hope that'll sort it. Update: Nearly done just needs a bit more work. Should take another day.
  23. No piracy, no mentioning piracy-related sites, no crack discussion. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/guidelines/ All of the tools here are for the remastered version and won't work on pirated copies. Pls buy the game. https://store.steampowered.com/app/221680/Rocksmith_2014_Edition__Remastered/
  24. A few things can prevent songs from showing up in-game. If they have been renamed to change the _p.sarc extension the game cannot load them. if they use an appid of a dlc song you don't own they also won't show up. (Cherub rock is the standard one used). If you try to use a mac/xbox or ps3 song (_xbox, _ps3.psarc.edat, _m.psarc formats) on pc it won't work. Duplicate dlc keys/arrangement id's can also prevent certain songs form showing up and can crash the game. Sometimes people accidentally install the game twice and put songs in the wrong dlc folder, which will also stop them from showing up depending on which rocksmith you run. An easy way to check is with cfsm, if the songs don't show up in there something has gone quite wrong and you can check the appid of the downloaded songs.
