yeah... i got confused with the discussion leading to this fix : *Fixed a bug with GP import where the notes at the end of legato slides weren't removed as they should be. Anyway even with the actual logic the 1 slide 5 is misleading too. the slide from 15 to 1 is a legato slide so 1 shouldn't be here but it's forced to exist because of the following slide from 1 to 5 but that doesn't appear as a legato slide anymore... And i still have a problem with delayed slide (those from 5 to 7 and 7 to 10) that are imported as normal slide.

How did they tested it? With a guitar with emulated bass activated? Or with a real bass? The custom tone never mess with recognition these are too different part of RS and one has no impact whatsoever on the other one. If the recognition doesn't work it could be that you didn't set it correctly in EOF and in the toolkit (if both are different RS doesn't recognize any note). A custom tone of bass shouldn't need any octave down pedal if you play with a bass. There's an automatic custom tone for emulated bass coming directly from RS that override any tone for the bass part while your on emulated bass, i've never tried to select another tone to see if it's possible but if the tester changes tone while on emulated bass with a tone that has no octave down pedal well the result is kind of obvious but it's not related to RS recgonition problem that he might have.

There's multiple problem here from my point of view. I authored the tab so here's how i though it was supposed to appear on EOF : http://i.imgur.com/6OvXwcb.png You'll have to admit that the end result after import it's quite different from what i hope it should be like in the first place. Maybe it's me that do something wrong while creating the tab but still there's some problem during import that seems more of a bug like the Linknext status inexistant on legato slides.

I don't want to be rude here, but claiming that this is not fair use and linking to a blog that say that fair use i not really define clearly so that unless you actually go in front of a court, you won't be able to say that something is fair use or not is bold. Rocksmith video can be view as a cover of a song so having the song on background is not a big problem but unless you go in front of a court you won't be able to say that it is or not legal... So youtube will be default take the side of the author but you have some possibilities to actually acknowledge the use of third party content and give them almost the full right over your video, from there you can't really go against the author will.

Even for a good singer, one can be better (or more comfortable) with different pitch depending on what he needs to sing. using a lot of different pitch depending on what you're going to sing or even play can really change the way the songs feel (i'll never listen to dream on by aerosmith at A440). It's not always a singer need, but can be simply better for the song in itself like most orchestra like to play at A442 or 443 because it sounds better (and it does in some cases). There's so many reason to choose a different pitch than A440 than simply put it back to it just to ease yourself with tuning seems like heresy to me. ;) Anyway if you do a custom using a different pitch and you want to put it back to A440, do both please, so that everyone can choose what he wants to and not have to bear with one personal preference.

My bad, I've just misunderstand how youtube handle ads over video... anyway youtube handle poorly copyright infringement and the option during video upload are not clear about the different way you can acknowledge the fact that you don't own anything and just place yourself under Fair Use.

Or simply don't use monetization when you're using third party content especially in the case of custom. It's not legal to make money out of this educational content. Youtube can't control everything but they are especially going over monetized video since making money can become a big deal. I've seen many video using monetization like it's not a big deal but you really shouldn't monetize rocksmith video customs or not if you want it to be legal.

That's already available take a look at the edit->selection menu you can make a lot of combination that allow you to do almost whatever you want in the selection part then just use the hotkey to make the selected note a pop or a slap.

The error 404 is for non existing information, so if you're searching for something that does not exist it's absolutely normal to have a 404 error. I don't really see a problem here...

in EOF you have to create section at different point of the songs, you need to select a beat ("-->" in EOF) then shift+ctrl+S.

Did you try at 1% speed in RR to see if it's the game that can't recognize it or just you that can't get them at full speed? Those bend can be tricky to get correctly.

A more elegant solution? What do you have in mind? RS need a songs no matter what and the toolkit is not here to create song file. Creating a blank song file is your best option and it's the easiest way of doing it. you can also use whatever song file in EOF then just put the volume of the song so low in the tollkit that you won't here it but that's a poor solution...

Nop they can't hijack anything... you are entirely authorized to post a CDLC of an already done CDLC (there's already some double of some songs) if they are different (meaning you made the new one yourself and not jsut copy and paste the CDLC already existing). Double can't exist with OFFICIAL DLC because that is illegal that's all otherwise, please share your work! But that's how it turned out on SA. If you crowdsource the approval/rating all people won't follow the standard. If you do it by a limited amout or people, they won't be able to do it correctly, they won't have enough time to go through everything correctly... That's available for tabs too and it didn't stop anyone to learn with them. I agree that learning a wrong tab is bad but you'll hear it, delete the custom and move on to the next one. And if you're serious you'll even get back to the charter. Oh and it's easy to blame the charter for not modifying their work but come on i haven't seen any of them not doing it yet and when you look at the feedback many people give i can understand that people won't rework on the custom, when someone just say : "wrong tab" or "bass incomplete" etc. you don't know where to start or what to do from there and it's frustrating for both.

A rating system is useless, what do you note? the song the overall quality? how do you make sure every do this correctly? And a standard can be a pain in the ass for those who creates especially those who start, if you can't put your first bad work and collect feedback you won't get better and you won't rework on the song, that will probably slow down the cdlc upload rate and i don't want that to happen, i want million of custom available i'll do the selection myself after or help the charter if i badly want the song to meet my own standard. The problem with crowdsourcing (for rating or notating or approved something) is that you have to be clear on the actual criteria you use and make sure it is actually used by everybody when they do it. If a kind of "approved" system is created, it has to be smartly done and need to be easily modified to not fall into SA path. The difficulty is really personnal, some can't pick fast but easily do chord change, some other can't do shit on arpeggios and others have just some minor difficulties on certain tech so everyone has his own difficulties and will completely change the perception of the difficulty, i don't say it's a bad idea, but if it's implement, keep in mind that the author will simply put what he think the difficulty is or simply put the first on the drop list. About the manager, there is some talk over and over again about that in the chat but it's not that easy to develop. About your other suggestion i don't see anything more to say, maybe just the fact that the genre should only be a drop list to make sure everyone don't put improbable genre that nobody will ever found or re-use...

You might want to aks to @@lahelio, i think that he found a solution/workaround.

I usually retune all of my strings, for a drop D the other strings won't move much if everything is correctly setup so it won't take that much time. My advice here is to buy a good guitar, because a cheap one will have some detuning issue when you'll use the Floyd and that is really unwanted.
