  3. Today
  4. @ aNDESmASAMUNE grats on the new computer and guitar! always nice to have a upgrade every once in awhile. And great to have you back again!!
  5. Its generally good manners, to leave a comment on the record page or dm the creator on the forum/discord about issues with a cdlc, or use the report system as well in ignition. If they don't respond in a "timely" manner then its fine to upload a fixed version, give credit in the description to the original creator and describe what is different between the two version / the fixes you made.
  6. Bass scores, but in a hurry The next championship week will start rather late, so I will give a warning about an hour before the start.
  7. A little better in the Drop D version, but this is probably my limit. And Rhythm
  8. It's possible that you have quite thin strings on your bass, on my 4-string bass I have no problems with tuning to D Std/D drop C, it's only when the tuning is really low that I start having problems.
  9. Question for the bass players: My four-string bass setup doesn't really work if I try to tune below Drop D. Just curious whether people playing tunings like D drop C on a tuned down 4-string, or a tuned-up five string? Thanks in advance for sharing your advice, and thanks for the opportunity to participate here!
  10. Forgot to say something before the week is over... Thanks @ nlbsmglsk for hosting the week!!!!
  11. CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT!!!! After a serious session of RR! I am definitely not winning but at the moment I am happy with this result...
  12. just a couple of new runs before the week closes, mild improvements
  13. Hello Rocksmith fans! In February I was in San Francisco for work so I decided to inquire if I could visit the ‘ol Rocksmith studio! Not only was I able to visit after not being there since 2018, but I was also given the opportunity to interview Colin Chu and Lucas Walker about Rocksmith+ Piano.… The post Exclusive Interview with Colin Chu and Lucas Walker appeared first on The Riff Repeater.
  14. My first ever attempt at this song or hearing it, it sounded amazing though I couldn't get the hang of that intro.
  15. Hi!!! I "created" that version myself with the CustomForge Song Manager. You select the song and then you go to the Custom Mods tab and select the "Pitch Shifter", which creates a new version of the song in E standard or Drop-D, depending the case. The thing is that, if you do that, you have to play the song with earphones, because otherwise you will hear the dissonance. Anyway, you can find here the Drop-D versions I "created", my friend: version 1.5 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nugYcaq85-zErXMlpNSnBQID_jGYPs-9/view?usp=sharing version 1.6 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1F-VSJyHIp8N5iHHmmfDi9hKWEXFTFBX1/view?usp=sharing
  16. I have learned to make chart modifications to existing CDLC, so I have started adjusting a bunch of them, mainly in two ways: 1) Fixing factually wrong notes in the chart 2) Changing uncomfortable fret positions to better ones I also occasionally add/change/remove expression markers such as slides and legato. I definitely do these changes for my own benefit, and while the first kind of changes is an objective correction, the second one is more a personal preference. I think my changes could benefit other people and I am willing to share them, but I don't want to share them directly to the database because they would be competing with the originals. Would it make sense to create a thread under Workshop with my own edits and share links in such thread? Would it be disrespectful to additionally put a comment under the CDLC in the database to link to my version? In case of factual chart errors or grossly unreasonable hand positions, I normally write a comment on the CDLC in the database first, but it's clear to me that it almost never gets fixed. Some authors are not around anymore and others are just too busy to keep up with requests for fixes. For my own personal practice purposes, I just can't wait and that's why I learnt fixing them myself (I am, admittedly, a very DIY person). But sharing publicly is another matter, and I don't want to hurt original authors, especially when maybe they were in fact planning to fix something but just too busy to do it yet. Please share your thoughts on what could be the best policy to keep everyone happy.
