Question

Bass is missing a lot of notes from the chorus, will look for an example tab

Sorry for this, I'm not a bass player. I just took some tabs

This comment inspired me to make a poll for cdlc creators asking what kind of work they put into the tabs in their songs to be correct. It will be interesting to see if the results differ from instrument to instrument :)

I'll use some tabs as reference but I'll put everything into EOF by hand and go over it many, many times by ear to make sure everything is accurate. A lot of songs have some very subtle notes, bends, slides, pull-offs, etc. and matching the song as close as possible is what makes Rocksmith so fun to use.

For bass arrangements I'll almost always chart completely by ear because most bass tabs are so wildly inaccurate. Plus bass usually stands out in the mix more than the guitar, there is usually only one bass and bass chords are infrequent, unlike guitars which can be layers or guitars and varied chords.

I am yet to find a tab that was perfect. The track I'm working on now was close, but after combining the best parts of 2 separate bass tabs, I'm still working on that bass line. And the lead needs some short solos added to it. Fortunately I think they are snippets from the main two solos so should be easy. But like I said, I haven't found a tab yet that I did not need to work on.

I hear you. I keep starting customs and getting totally frustrated with the tabs I get. And I'm simply not good enough yet to tab by ear. I just keep hearing something's not quite right. Sometimes I can fix it, sometimes I can't. Only perfect tab I found so far was for Can't Touch This ;)

I did not know that POOL is possible in the forum  nice option, it may be useful :D

We don't have a pool, we have a poll though!

Mothman is real and he sold me coke in a dimly lit JC Penney's.
