I've got the same problem.... sometimes that happens for whatever reason, malformed xml showing, failure and abort if I try to import in EOF.

Wrote the tabs by myself in GP6, exported into GP5 and synced with GPA full version.

here are the files

I opened a blank project in EOF and imported that GPA file (and all 3 tracks of the Guitar Pro file) without any problem. That file won't open in RC10 because of errors in the GPA XML file. Newer versions of EOF can handle those errors, so make sure you're using the latest hotfix for EOF.

Sorry for late delay in response, seems to be working for me now on my new Windows 10 install (was on 8.1 before)

I'll see how things go...

I've gotten this error if I create the xml using a gpx file and then convert the tab to gp5. If you go back and change the tab used in go play along and re-export it that should solve the issue. It keeps all the links in place as well.

I've fixed the issue EOF had with that GPA file. The XML used some really long numbers (20 characters long) for some of the fractional values, and that was exceeding a limit in EOF. I've doubled the limit so now EOF will accept 40 character long decimal values if necessary.

has anybody also encountered that GPA just doesn't finish the export? ther bar never goes all the way and it just exports gp5 and mp3... no xml file...

I'm not sure if that program creates any error logging. If re-opening GPA and trying to export to a different location doesn't help, it would probably be worth checking with GPA support.
