  1. Not sure if this is the right spot to ask this, but... Does anybody know of a good Bandicam alternative for Mac? It's not available for Mac, and I'd like to make some playthrough videos to share here, as well as to review my own playing so I can better see what areas I need to work on. I don't mind paying for something that's reasonable, so it doesn't have to be free. I'm just looking for something good that is easy and intuitive like Bandicam. Thanks!
  2. I can't get the rscustoms toolkit to open on my mac. I have been trying for days with no success. I downloaded and installed mono, then downloaded the most current toolkit for mac and it will not start up. Icon will appear temporarily on bottom of screen and then disappear. I can't find a single tutorial that is mac specific. The rscustoms website does not contain any user guides. Please help!!
  3. Trying to create my first song. took a transcript from Finale to TuxGuitar, converted it to GP5 format to import to EOF (definitely not a seamless transition.) Added track to Song Creater Toolkit. Filled out song info, added 512x512 image. Tried importing tones as well as just going with the default tone, same result when I hit generate. Thread Exception "System.IO.InvalidDataException: <ERROR> DLCPackageData is null, Audio file could not be found..." Which sounds to me like the XML file isn't including the MP3, which doesn't make sense to me. Any thoughts?
  4. I've been playing Rocksmith on an old Xbox 360 for years but lately it's been reporting a lot of false errors, mostly when I'm playing chords - even if the chord doesn't change and I'm just strumming, it says I'm making errors. The problem has been getting worse as time goes by, as has the audio lag. I tried the Mac version from Steam and the experience is way better - it only tells me I've made a mistake when I've actually made a mistake! So I've decided to junk the Xbox (Rocksmith was the only thing I used it for) but don't want to lose all the DLC songs I've already paid for. To try to recover the songs, I removed the hard drive from the Xbox and plugged it into a spare SATA port and power supply on my PC (not my Mac). I then downloaded FATXplorer (https://fatxplorer.eaton-works.com/download/) which can read the Xbox's FAT format, and which lists all the songs I bought, amongst other things. I'm now able to extract the songs and copy them to my Mac, where I've been trying to convert them to Mac format, but nothing I've tried works. Is this possible to do? Any help would be appreciated and I can upload a sample extracted song, if required.
  5. Ok, so I am on a Mac and everything is up to date and all CDLC have been converted with the newest toolkit. I start Rocksmith 2014 with steam as I always do and there are most all of the CDLC's that I just updated. Well then the next day I start Rocksmith 2014, and the CDLC's that were there the day before are now gone. A week later I might start Rocksmith 2014 and some of them are back. I can open Rocksmith and then close it and reopen it and things sometimes will show back up and sometimes they don't. How is this happening, and is there any way to fix this? I have gone thru every post I could find on here that was about as close to the issue I am having and done everything that I had not tried already, but it still happens. I also have taken out all p.psarc files after converting, but this was just the other day. I had them in as well until saw where someone said to keep your DCL folder around 200 files in it. I also have purchased a real DLC to convert the CDLC's to, but don't see how this maters because as said they show sometimes and sometimes they don't. Any ideas. Thanks Frenzy
  6. Is it possible? I've been scouring forums and downloading the software for days, finally got EOF running fine but creating the .wem file in Wwise is where I'm stumbling. Then a minute ago I found a comment somewhere that said regardless, you need windows for Rocksmith Custom Toolkit to create the.psarc file. Is that true? Has anyone here successfully created Rocksmith CDLC on their Mac? Any input is appreciated!
  7. Hello everyone! First off I love this project, and once I get the issues hammered out this will no doubt suck hours upon hours of my life away. I went on a downloading spree and got a bunch of custom songs. In combining the functions of the Toolkit and Automator, I managed to convert at least most of the downloaded files into Mac format (all files use the Cherub Rock appid). So far it seems that the cdlc is about 50/50; about half will run with no problem, and the other half freeze after tuning. I've tried most of the options in the toolkit (mac version) and haven't found anything that solves the problem. I've searched the Internet up and down and haven't really found any solutions. The only clue that may be notable is the showlights file. I've unpacked Cherub Rock, some of the files that work, and some of the files that do not work, and noticed that more often than not the files that do not run have a showlights.xml that is significantly smaller. For example, RHCP - By The Way works, while Blink 182 - First Date does not work. The showlights.xml for By The Way is 38 KB, while First Date is 117 bytes. The contents of the First Date showlight.xml is as follows: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <showlights count="1"> <showlight time="2.522" note="66" /> </showlights> Again, not sure if this is what's breaking the cdlc, but it's currently the only clue I have. I've been comparing unpacked files left and right and haven't noticed anything else out of the ordinary between the two. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you require any further information, or screenshots, etc. MacBook Pro 15-inch (Late 2008) OSX Yosemite 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 8 GB RAM DDR3 NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT 256 MB
  8. What's up people, while browsing around the web for a solution, I was unable to find any no-cable workaround for using an audio interface on Mac. Then I stumbled across this gem. Worked like a charm, got my M-Audio 2x2 working perfectly with Rocksmith immediately, and wanted to share for any other Mac players! 9. I have Rocksmith 2014 through steam and Cherub rock dlc. I downloaded some Mac CDLC and the final step says to laugh Rocksmith using RSInjector but when I double click on it, nothing happens. Please help
  10. Hi, I'm new here and stoked to find this website! Followed wepeel's tutorial and things are working a treat. Would love to find more info on fixing some cDLC tracks on my Mac: OS Sierra 10.12.6 Customs Forge Song Manager (v1.4.1.2 - MAC BETA VERSION) Rocksmith Custom Song Toolkit (v2.8.4.1) I've converted a number of PC files to MAC and they have worked fine. A few tracks are not appearing in RS14 however and the only post I could find is for PC only. Any Mac people out there with info on how to best use the above apps to repair m.psarc files? Thanks in advance!
  11. Hi, I have a problem with my CDLCs. I download a bunch of cdlc for my rocksmith, but when i'm in rocksmith none of them are there exept one. ( and of course the Smashing Pumpkins one ) little exemple : I was playing a Billy Talent cdlc. Then i downloaded another one by Atreyu. i put it in my RS dlc Folder. And only the Atreyu one was available. The Billy Talent was not there anymore. So i downloaded like 10 more just to see. And still, only one appearing in my game. Someone got the same issue ? Thx
  12. Hey everyone sorry if this is painfully easy to fix. I have started downloading CDLC after following all instructions and to my pleasant surprise, it was all working. However after or a week or so, many of the tracks will no longer load, they won't even get to the tuning stage, they won't launch after picking them in Learn A Song. I figured out that I could still get some of them to work as per usual when I disconnected my Mac from wi-fi. Unfortunately this means that most of the CDLC will no longer show up. Any help on fixing this so I can enjoy my full haul of CDLC? Thanks y'all!
  13. Hi, I was trying to download the songs that said are available for Mac versions of Rocksmith 2014, but when I click download it sends me only to the pc version, is there a way to find the one I'm looking for since it's listed as available? Thanks.
  14. Hi Guys, I can't install the ToolKit on my Mac. I am running Mac OS 10.9.4 XQuartz Updated to the latest mono project Downloaded and installed the latest ToolKit build for mac The RSInjector works fine, I am able to download the songs already formatted for Mac but I have some PC versions I would like to convert to Mac... So, when I fire up the ToolKit, (steam is on) I can see the Icon bobble up and down on the dock but then it disappears without launching anything, no matter how long I wait. Does anyone have any ideas of what I can try? Help would be appreciated
