  1. I'm not sure how the DDC works. "Use it or lose it"; I decided to manually add DD in the last custom I did (so I wouldn't forget how in the future). That's when I noticed the weird jumps in FHPs. The problem was fixed by adding FHP to the start of each phrase when it wasn't done automatically. Playing other customs I've seen those weird jumps before so I thought I'd post this info.
  2. It creates an FHP at the first note of the phrase. If the first note occurs after the start of the phrase, it will place an FHP at the note and not the start of the phrase.
  3. Hey Raynebc, I have a suggestion for the FHP generator. Can you have EOF create an FHP at the start of each phrase? A problem occurs when notes starts after the phrase starts. If no FHP is created at the start of a new phrase, it will show the FHP for the lowest DD level of the previous phrase until the next note. If you'd like to see an example of an official on-disk chart creating an FHP at the start of a new phrase (rather than only the first note of a new phrase) these are from the songs "All I Want" and "Angela". http://imgur.com/a/UooNL If a test file is necessary, I can provide one. Another thing to mention; Official charts don't seem to care to add an FHP during phrases when there are no notes at all.
  4. In ADDITION to reading all the tutorials, it may help to look at an existing project. Find a CLDC that you know is done well, preferable without dynamic difficulty to make things easier. Open Custom Song Creator Toolkit Click the Unpacker tab Click Decode audio (and sng to xml, I think) Click unpack Select dlc file Chose select folder Open EOF program File-New-Select the song newly created folder Open the audio folder Open the Windows Folder Select the ogg file (if there's two, select the larger file) Enter the artist info if asked and press OK Click Song-Track-Part Real_Guitar_22 Press file-Rocksmith Import Go into the created unpacked folder and open the songs folder open the arr folder open the whateversongnamelead/rhythm.xml file Click yes to anything the program asks Now you can see how a finished chart looks. I think tech notes are lost on import, but you'll get an idea of what it should look like.
  5. You need 2 programs: Wwise and Custom Song Creator Toolkit http://customsforge.com/topic/25393-albatross-guide-to-making-cdlc/ https://www.rscustom.net/ Using the Custom Song Toolkit: In the creator tab Near game version select convert Select Import and choose your DAT file Press Generate to get a PSARC file for Rocksmith 2014 It's gonna be a little funky; converting a DAT is not as good as creating from scratch.
  6. Thanks again Raynebc the time stretch option is remembered now and the "Offer to auto complete fingering" works too and saves a lot of time and clicks. I noticed with the new update using ghost notes as a way to manipulate fhp is a little different. http://i.imgur.com/9rAvQ8Q.png This would normally be an open E, but now it's displays both notes and is written as an arpeggio. (no other options like ghost hs were selected)
  7. Purple lane (Arpeggio) Select the range of notes (click first note, hold shift, click last note, let go of shift) Press CTRL+SHIFT+G to create an arpeggio group. Blue Lane (Handshape) Select the range of notes (click first note, hold shift, click last note, let go of shift) Press CTRL+SHIFT+H to create a handshape. Don't forget to enter finger information for the chords (EOF will ask you to do it when you save). You may have to edit your Fret Hand Positions too (CTRL+SHIFT+F, Generate)
  8. You don't have to create the .wem file yourself anymore; the updated toolkit (not older versions) will create for you. You still have to have wwise installed correctly.
  9. It wasn't mentioned in your post, so I'll suggest this just in case: Don't forget the dll file and buy Cherub Rock.
  10. Not an issue but it would be a time saver: Can this popup option be disabled in the preferences? "Update all instances of this note to use this fingering?" Also, a way to edit the config file to have Time Stretch disabled by default would also be nice.
  11. Here's a test chart: http://i.imgur.com/nsPrQey.png And this is the result: As everyone suggested, pitch detection works but the display maxes out at 3 arrows.
  12. Just for fun see if it works in score attack mode (not learn a song).
  13. Played clarinet for a few years and recorder for a month or two.
  14. Even with a bunch of added silence it still does this sometimes. For me it sometimes happens when there is a long time (more than 20 seconds) before the first note occurs.
  15. This happens every once in a while and I'm not sure why. But here's a workaround: Click -Beat -Reset Offset to Zero. Select NO to "insert evenly spaced beats". Update time signature if necessary.
  16. I agree with this. While I can't figure out what their "rule" is, official songs omit the chord names all the time. As for an on-disk example, heart shaped box DOES include a chord name displayed within a handshape https://youtu.be/UA5AQ-9y61s?t=25s BUT it has way more chords with the names left out. If you force a blank name for all notes within a handshape phrase I don't think anyone will have issues with it.
  17. Cool, just tried the ghost handshape thanks
  18. Drums and playing with others. No one wants to play Rocksmith with me, not even my guitarist friends. But everyone is down for Rock Band.
  19. Garbage just put on a good show in Los Angeles. Played the whole first album, would recommend if anyone else has a chance this tour.
