  1. Well, seeing as you are from Dublin then you can try my U2 concert http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/popmart-concert-highlights-r7222 It's not the entire Popmart concert, but it is 9 songs and 55 minutes long. It's also edited to be continuous audio. Let me know if you plan to do it and I'll give it a facelift, I've been meaning to get around to it. Presumably you practice the songs before you stream? I would highly recommend trying the Eb arrangement of Until The End Of The World from the individual custom (there are E standard and Eb arrangements in the stand alone custom) because you need a capo, but I had to chart it without a capo to make it fit into the overall concert. It looks like a dog's dinner in places and practice is recommended. Unless you play bass then you are good to go :D
  2. Can anyone make a GP5 of this please http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/b/black_keys/psychotic_girl_guitar_pro_1484180id_14052014date.htm I don't have GP6 and my usual source of conversion was having trouble. I'm not going the Tuxguitar route because I refuse to have Java installed on my machine. Any help appreciated :D
  3. The problem you describe is actually quite common when making customs, the freezing highway. With the newer, more sophisticated tools it does not happen as often but occassionally it still hangs at the amps. A rebuild usually cures the problem, but if you're not making customs then we won't go into that. Just to get a clearer picture - How many customs have you tried? - Does it happen with every one? - Do official songs play fine? - The customs that are hanging, are there comments in the songs thread to suggest others have succesfully played them? - When you put the .dll into the root folder, did you erase the other one (you didn't tell it to keep two copies)?
  4. Don't see any takers for Psychotic Girl, so I'll put my hand up and say I'll do that.
  5. There was a function like this in RS12 (where it would stop the song for a missed note) riff repeater. A few swear words and rage quits ensued, man it's so, so, so annoying - careful what you wish for :D
  6. There is a learning curve, you will get there. It's difficult to sight read Rocksmith at first. I don't think it matters too much how/where you sit, as long as you are comfortable. I would suggest a short strap length though, if you are sitting with the guitar on your lap, so that it takes some/most of the weight. I'd pick a few songs you like and practice them hard, that will help you get used to reading charts.
  7. It's quite common for there to be extra notes/beats/bars in a GP file, especially on a long fade out song. It's just how the GP author fancied doing it. Decide where you want the notes to stop in the song fade out and delete the surplus notes. Although, I too get the feeling that you haven't beat mapped the song yet...
  8. I've never had it, but I'm sure I've read about it. Give the forums a good search.
  9. You only need to change the app id if your version of Rocksmith does NOT have Cherub Rock. 99% of customs work as Cherub Rock, so save yourself a lot of hassle and go buy the official dlc of Cherub if you don't already have it. It's possible you changed the app ids to a song you don't own?
  10. Use a different USB channel i.e. plug it into a completely different USB socket. Not the one next to the one it was in, another socket which is far away. That should reinstall the drivers.
  11. Blinded By The Light - Manfred Mann - Live in Budapest. Now that would be awesome :D
  12. Mods can enable the videos. Report the thread and ask nicely :D I'll edit this when vids are up... Nice thread man, I got a nice cello line in a song. I might give it a blast :D
  13. No is the simple answer. Yes is the long answer, but it's complicated and you will lose some of the chart information. What I suggest is start the song, the pause it. Get ready to play... hit restart song :D
  14. TBH I don't use riff repeater, I presume when my chart begins that it all works fine. I have used RR to skip to the beginning of the chart though (like when there's 1.5 mins of music before the bass kicks in) and that worked fine. I'm at work just now but you can try my recent customs (built with latest EoF) to see if RR works and any difference with yours http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/your-love-alone-is-not-enough-r10480 http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/a-design-for-life-r10446 http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/jealous-guy-r10444 http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/fans-r10392 http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/homesick-r10293 All with latest EoF and I did not notice any problems, but like I say I haven't actually RR'd any section to myself. You are welcome to have a look (and let me know if you find any problems). I'd maybe try Chilipouni's suggestion and build your .wems again, maybe you missed it... Another thought? DId you use DD? DId it max out your purple bars without you manually setting it to max? There is a slight bug where the first time you play a custom, if it maxes out your purple bars for you then the speed is minimum (like real slow). You need to go into RR and reduce the bars (not fully, just one notch) then put them back up, come out and it's fine - the chart is full speed again.
  15. Ah well at least I can rule that out. Thanks for the reply :D
  16. Discussing the custom inlay problem (sometimes on/sometimes off) I was wondering if there is any kind of maxfret value in the XML export of arrangements from EoF? I presume that EoF imports the maxfret value of the GP guitar track from GP? Just wondering if the same value is exported somehow... I think that the inlays don't load, and hence cause arrangement freezes with new arrangements numbers (new customs), because it is trying to load a 24 fret inlay onto something which the game is being told is <24 frets. Also might explain why sometimes the inlays don't load.
  17. Good luck :D Also, I've submitted a custom inlay to your website. Thanks for your hard work man :D
  18. I only have GP5 so that is what I used. Although, I was trying to get MIDI into GP5 not out of it. I planned to then import that GP5 file to EoF. I have no cross mapping sorry. I would suggest though, that looking at bass lines first would both be easier to implement and there would be a greater end user base. Think a lot more people would play simple bass lines than simple lead. Also, do you intend to create audio from the MIDI file and play along to that? If you are planning to use the original artists' audio then tempo mapping will still need to be done at some stage.
  19. Or grab the lyrics from another website and sync them again.
  20. I have tried MIDI to GP to EoF. It fails badly at the MIDI to GP stage. And that's a pro program with official MIDI import. The best I could muster was a couple of simple bass lines out of all the MIDI files I wanted to try. I wanted to try it because, yes, there are tonnes of great MIDI files about and I thought it would be a quick/easy process. It isn't, it's complicated, time consuming and yeilds pretty meh results. At least in my case... If you do want to go for it, I would suggest concentrating on bass lines first. You go anywhere near MIDI chords and you are going to cry. Like a little girl :D
  21. Is this new with r1363? I have only made one song so far using it and there were no bends... The regular note has always had a bend definition (as well as tech note) but I only get that warning when there is a genuine error. I think one or more of your tech notes are effecting the non bend notes directly after them. Tech notes can be quite a mess on import and sometimes they hide underneath each other. In complex solo they can snap onto the noext note (which is not a bend) and I think this is what caused the message on save. I have actually started erasing a lot of tech notes in complex solos (Stairway to Heaven Live) because I cannot zoom in and get them where I want/need them. The old logic still works - if the normal note has a bend but there are no tech notes on the bend then the bend is defined as 1/3 of the way into the sustain. Much easier to do it this way for rapidly repeating bend notes, or even a series of prebends (just have the sustains as length 1). Out of interest, if anyone wants to see the handshape feature in action http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/homesick-r10293
  22. I actually think the extra lyrics is so that they can zap you on Youtube with a copyright thing-a-my-bob, like RR website says. Maybe why I've never had one is that they don't own the rights to the version of the song I used. It's all a mess Hendrix licensing. They are very much worth buying though :D
  23. Which explains why the bass is in rhythm with an emulation tone http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/45364834984367693/175ABD8645884EAFB7ADE05365EF3F4524723BF9/ The tabs I used were very specific, although I have many Jimi CDs I didn't have the version I needed on any of them, so I had to go buy it. I had to research at the time but I can't remember all the versions now. The lead chart is indeed gorgeous though, but I think I like Voodoo Child the best. The chart is just the dugs nuts. I only bought 4 of the songs (Purple, Voodoo, Little Wing and Red House) and you get this dribble at the end http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/45364834984375153/46D57399055ACC89A58956466395C9C481AB11E1/ Hope all DLC doesn't go like this :( And about the videos on Youtube... its cause he doesn't want to embarrass himself, they are bloody difficult :D
  24. I'm gonna have to try Red House, but according to Riff Repeater website it has no bass and is Eb Standard (mine was way off pitch). There are so many versions of Jimi songs wonder which one they used... And I lost my Little Wing Live at the Albert Hall too... so sad :(
