  1. It's possible that bandhub does some Meshup with Youtube - if you upload videos to youtube you may be contacted from bandhub members which will add a comment to your vid. I'm not a member of bandhub and can't say if it's scam to collect your data or if these are some amateurish settings which don't respect your privacy, but FB does the same and people give them their data for free :D
  2. There was no conversion tool - the dlc has been redone as new versions for RS2014 and you've to dl them again. There're a lot differences between RS1 and RS2 you would not get with a conversion because new techniques have been added to RS2.
  3. If there's no soundcard or graphicscard in the pc it uses the soundchip/graphic-chip of the motherboard (= onboard). When it worked before with the Rocksmith 2014 remastered edition then something automatic might have happend - steam does not allow to disable updates (I don't like this automatism, because I want to decide after reading the changes to install the patch or not) and they are applied in the background. It's possible that after you played RS2014 remastered first time it worked and then a patch caused the issue on this PC - other reasons could be a windows update or the installation of another software. It seems that another process is adjusting your volume, but to find out which one it is could be complicated and requires deep background knowledge of the operation system. There are tools like Process Explorer from Russinovich https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb795533 to get more information, but it's not trivial to interpretate everything and to know what to look for. I don't know if asking for support at ubisoft will provide a solution. Maybe it's something strange like this http://www.redrhino.co.uk/volume-control-automatically-reduces-and-slides-down-to-zero/ I would never recommend a drastic measure to solve a problem - if it's "only" a gaming pc and you've not installed many programs I would reinstall it if I can't find the reason for the problem. But be aware that there is no guarantee that it solves it and to reinstall everything might take a lot of time.
  4. I had only RS1 on Windows and can't remember the default location was, but I think it was a steam folder, something like /Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Rocksmith/ If you can't find it search for the rocksmith exe in you explorer.
  5. If a song does not show up in the songlist possible reasons are - duplicates in the dlc folder - a broken custom in the dlc folder - name conflict of songs You may check if you remove all dlc and then adding one of the 2 you mentioned - if they both work fine try to find the reason or add only a few songs to your dlc folder which you want to play in your next session.
  6. You're right - the app is only PC. To run windows you need a windows installation in a virtual machine (fusion, virtualbox, parallels) or bootcamp. I don't know if the cfsm app runs with wine - http://winebottler.kronenberg.org
  7. Download the PC version, add the fix and then converting to Mac. This saves one conversion step - I don't know if the audio quality decreases if you convert between platforms too many times (i.e. if you convert your mac version to pc and then back to mac).
  8. There are no direct download links - you've to register to see them ... I can't remember that I registered or used any laucher to download and maybe it has changed since I dl it. https://www.audiokinetic.com/download/ The launcher (on Mac) only shows 2016.x versions for installation - haven't tested the windows version, but maybe it's the same there.
  9. There was another thread about this issue - must be in the CFSM section. It's a false positive and has been confirmed by avira. Whitelist it or maybe it's fixed when they update their signatures.
  10. May the force be with you! :D
  11. I don't understand what you want to to - playing customs in Rocksmith or converting a custom to another platform? In the help section are tutorials for each platform how to play customs in RS. To convert a custom in the Toolkit go to the "convert" tab, select source and target platform, in the open dialog select the custom you want to convert and conversion starts. You'll see a progress bar and when it's finished you'll get a message box that everything is converted or if there were errors.
  12. Afaik the bug is only the missing DD in a custom - you may add DD with the toolkit or convert them to PC and back to mac. Maybe you can fix it by renaming the custom from _m.psarc to _p.psarc and back after applying the repair, but haven't tested it.
  13. You might check in the taskmanager which process is up to 100% of CPU usage when this happens. If there's a programm, a background task or anything else using all your CPU everything else will slow down. Other possible issues are driver bugs or hardware defects (as already mentioned by missis sumner).
  14. Thanks - then I've to investigate further why the click does not work for me.
  15. Wiki or any instructions in a thread will sink down the list of topics and nobody will find them :)
  16. I don't want to hijack your beta thread but I've one question. Does your mouse click work in the game remastered version? I can highlight the menu entries but for the "click" I've to use the enter key on Sierra. It worked before and I don't know if it stopped when upgrading to RS 2014 remastered or macOS.
  17. @@firekorn - the mac link is not to Weepels thread - I agree that there are links, but one box with "Playing customs on PC - Mac - Console" Assume you're not the PC expert and visiting a forum - you've heard about customs and you want to play them. For most it's obvious that cdlc is "custom download content", but why is it "cdlc ignition" and not "customs database" or "song database". The name of the other links are "Mac Fix" and "Rocksmith remastered CDLC fix" - it's a bit cryptic and not clear that this explains what to do when you want to play a custom on your platform. I don't want to fix a cdlc (never heard what it is ;)) and my mac is not broken. Pls see this as constructive criticism - new people have probably never heard this acronyms and then they start a new thread or add a question to an existing thread. I know that some are lazy to read :D and you'll not prevent every faq, but clear link names would help the people who are willing to read before posting.
  18. The RS Injector is (or was) an app to start the game - this has changed in a previous update of Rocksmith remastered and this change is described in the 2nd paragraph of Weepels instructions http://customsforge.com/topic/33889-how-to-add-custom-songs-on-mac/ Unfortunately this is not easy to find and maybe one of the admins could edit the red box at the top of the page. There's another thread about the visibility of the tutortials - creating customs is another thing, but the most important information is "how do I play customs on platform X". A visible link to the thread(s) with the instructions (mac version is up2date). I would add a box with this information and the other links are news. It's in Help>FAQ (thx for updating the link in the text) - if you add this as one (big) link at the top of the page you'll save time and new visitors won't ask the same questions. ;)
  19. At least you know it's not the cable and buying a new one won't fix it. Did Rocksmith audio work at your "problem PC" with the Rocksmith 2014 version and it stoppend when upgrading to Rocksmith 2014 remastered or did it work a few days with the Rocksmith remastered version before it broke? Maybe there are updated sound drivers (for onboard or soundcard) or trying this https://support.ubi.com/en-us/Faqs/000019027/Reinstalling-the-Real-Tone-Cable-PC-RS
  20. You may use the ID of one of your bought official dlc, but in that case you'll end to change the ID on every custom you're downloading, because Cherub Rock is used as a default.
  21. To convert the file use the Toolkit from rscustom.net - there's a tab named "converter" where you select the source and target platform.
  22. I don't know what the reason is, but here are steps from the Mozilla KB https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cant-download-or-save-files You may try downloading a custom using another browser (chrome, opera, vivaldi, ie, ...) to check if it's a general problem or only related to the Firefox browser.
  23. Maybe you've a custom of another band with the same name, the customs is twice in your dlc folder or you've a broken cdlc which causes another custom to hide.
  24. Agree - there are a landing pages, but it's a bit hidden and if you're new or not a regular visitor you don't find it. In the help > faq I want to start creating my own CDLC, where do I start? the link to Check the Help & Tutorials section. is dead. In the list Tutorials is a subsection, but it's not as prominent as other sections. In the red box are links to how to use customs, but these are not the main tutorial or help pages, they are part of a discussion when remastered came out. It would be more clear to use the tutorial and help pages and update these if necessary. These links would be more important than the new design and merch store stuff for most vistors ;)
