  1. Yeah, not too pleased with these myself, but good to see it.
  2. Sweet! Thanks! I'll play a bit and show you what I do! Edit: Gold Letter, Silver Trim Black Letter, Silver Trim Beginner, Black Letter, Silver Trim http://i.imgur.com/3savrT7.png
  3. Yeah that's the idea! ANyway I could grab the psd files from you and play with it a bit myself?
  4. Trim is the stroke. It is the line around the edge, right now you have a silver with black stroke/trim. would like to see a black with silver stroke/trim and gold w/ silver trim.
  5. This looks good but the color is a little hard to see for the blue, how does it look for the other colors? I might prefer the ribbon for seeing the color better. did you try black letter with silver trim? and gold with silver trim? Edit: the fancy letter looks so good! :D
  6. This looks best so far now! :) http://i.imgur.com/6qvpTEF.png
  7. Of these I like black best: But, what about a silver lettering, or silver trim on the lettering the black is a bit strong Edit: Oh! I see you did silver letting, looks white to me What about black letter with silver stroke? Or, gold letter with silver stroke.. ..and that more fancy script font.
  8. Would be great to have a script to manage this... I personally wouldn't find it all that ugly to have many awards displayed for any given user but if that is not desirable or not possible, then maybe it is possible to award the user all trophies that they earn and let them pick which one/ones to display. I don't yet know how the plugin works...
  9. @@firekorn I would like to see the feature implemented in such a way that the original artwork file is preserved in backup or unchanged so that you could apply this in toolkit or after and it would make no difference.
  10. @@prokazz the original post was two posts above the quote, you would be reading the same thing twice in a row. This is not censorship it's formatting. If you care to read the thread it is linked in the first post of this thread.
  11. @@firekorn I was thinking that @@Frack idea could be something implemented after download, like a mod for the game which allows a setting to make it look however you like... while we are dreaming of neat things.. xD
  12. @@DevXen , to be clear, I did not edit the content of your post. All of your words have remained exactly as you wrote them. I simply removed a quote and replaced it with a mention to call attention to the quoted poster, staying true to the purpose of the quote while cleaning up and improving the readability of the thread. I'm sorry if you felt this was somehow abusive but as you can see by all of the comments in this thread, what I did was basically to enforce an unwritten rule. Maybe in the future we will actually write it down... In any case, thank you for continuing this issue in it's own thread! We are always happy to have our users voice there opinions on any and all issues, especially when it's done appropriately, as you have here. @@Azrael, I completely agree that this kind of poor use of quoting happens all the time and passes without enforcement. The reality is that no one wants to spend the time to police such a minor thing. I just happened to be following that thread and noticed an easy fix for keeping the (currently very short) thread a bit cleaner. I also pointed this out in that thread. In any case I'm glad this thread was made and I hope it will help DevXen to feel better about this situation and the community and continue to take part. :) Edit: By the way I voted for the new poll item "Yes, But only in Limited situations (Broken Rule, Legal Issues, Harrassment, Etc)" with which I would include failure to follow appropriate forum etiquette in such circumstances that it is done transparently and does not alter the message of the post. Maybe something to this effect warrants another poll option. ;)
  13. @@Azrael : you are 100% correct. No one has time to police that all day. xD I just happened to be reading this thread and noticed an easy fix. I will probably hide these comments soon as it is off topic.
  14. @@DevXen, I removed the quote because you were referring to the entire post and highlighted nothing. On top of that the post was very long. There was no need whatsoever to make everyone, who is already reading the thread, read that entire post again. All that was needed was to call the attention of the writer of the post so I did that for you. You are welcome. Please feel free to use the quote feature appropriately, i.e. for when you want to quote a segment of a post, or possibly in a much longer thread where the original post may have been forgotten.. even then you can just link back to the post and people can read the original in it's original context. Thanks for your cooperation and understanding of forum etiquette. P.S. In case you thought I hadn't noticed, @Lovroman has made the same error by quoting an entire post but at least that post is short (a single line); just imagine if he had quoted you quoting him. xD
  15. @ : The blue is hard to see. Also, how does it look if you put lyrics last? Might be easier to see everything with no space between the arrows or black/white/grey solid color between the arrows. It looks like the arrows are currently semi transparent, I wouldn't mind the slight loss of view of the cover art to make them opaque if it otherwise still looks good. Just some thoughts! Overall the progress on this looks fantastic!
  16. @, @@Frack, It's not useless information, it lets you know at a glance what parts are available and whether you should bother to switch roles. It could be even more useful too if it had an indication of bonus tracks (e.g. there could be more than one lead option). The only hurdle is making it look nice.
  17. We'll see. It is a bummer that they are only giving it to the new consoles... :\
  18. @@Wepeel, the update has to do with changing the way a charter's custom is represented and, as much as possible, we want that to be up to the charter. Our job is to make the site as great as we can for the users! In this case that means giving you all a heads up about an upcoming change and giving you the opportunity to make the change in the way that best suits you (and if you choose not to take advantage of that, the task defaults to us). I'm glad you got an answer to your question from the person you wanted an answer from but that doesn't preclude other people from giving their own response in the thread. I don't think anyone is trying to start an argument with you, please be polite. As for closing the thread, while much of the "song bumping" is explained by this update to cdlc versioning, it is possible there are other instances of bumping not related to this, therefore making this topic still relevant.
  19. @@Xstatic, I think that falls under "responsibility to fix error's."
  20. Loving this project! Great work, @jamja! Request for you: Note spacing based on duration, rather than evenly spaced as it appears to be now. This is a fantastic tool! Thank you so much!
  21. Happy Birthday, Unleashed2k!!! :D !!
  22. Aww, thank you @Mad_Duck! And, thanks to @claimore22 who worked on the Request/WIP project with me! Without you it wouldn't have happened! Thanks! :)
  23. I would like to strongly second @Mad_Duck's suggestion for a "Diamond/Gold/Silver/Bronze/Grey/X" badge system. I wouldn't mind seeing an "approved" section but, for me, the best solution would be a simple search option to filter out "approved only/* also/* not" (or even better an option for selecting "silver and above"/"gold and above"/etc). This way, while browsing the full list of available songs, higher quality customs can stand out (the benefit of an approved section) while avoiding a major downside that comes with having a separate and exclusive area: effectively hiding all unapproved songs by default to anyone who goes directly to the approved content area. Another way to look at the badge option (vs the separate area) is that we would be marking excellent customs as "verified", rather than as "the only good ones".
