  1. Starting a little earlier this week. With lead, I don't think this is a great version of the song either. Bass Love this song, hoping to get the lead down, it's more enjoyable than Billy Jean. Let's see what happens next.
  2. It's been too hot for me to play guitar this week so all I have is Bass
  3. Bubble Bobble was amazing on the C64.
  4. You may need to adjust your guitars intonation. Loads of guides for this on the net. Here's one I found edit: Changed url the other guide was a bit rubbish When I first set up my guitar I used the harmonic method, were you compare the 12th fret harmonic with the pitch of the string at the 12th fret. I felt this was the most accurate method and it did give good results.
  5. Managed to make some improvements. Lead Bass
  6. Ok, this is more difficult than a 3. Those quick changes to barre chords throw me, going to take lots of practicing. A fun to play Rhythm song, hope to do better on this. Relatively easy bass
  7. If this only happens with the one cdlc then the cdlc is the problem. Try running it through the repair feature on CFSM.
  8. This is pretty late, haven't had much time to practice this week so just worked on Lead. Started at 79% managed to get it to creep up to 83%. Hope to do better next week. :)
  9. You've just made me realise I could have been using the sends on my 8 track mixer instead. Damn, I've been working inside the box for too long.
  10. I've tried to do this before but I've never managed to get the realtone cable hack to allow me to use ASIO on my Focusrite 2i2 so I have to stick to my official cable. This is more of a sidenote but could be of interest for those looking at audio routing. I revisited this yesterday after this post reminded me, I did more searching and discovered SAR (Synchronous Audio Router). If you have an audio device with a genuine ASIO driver (not ASIO4all emulation) you can create virtual endpoints, (inputs and outputs that show up as audio devices in Windows as long as the DAW is running) to route sound into and out of your DAW, I managed to route a web browser and Rocksmith game audio into my DAW, in seconds compared to the hoops I used to have to jump through with Voicemeeter Banana. I use Ableton Live 10 but reaper works well as will probably any DAW. This routing happens faster than ASIO to ensure the low ASIO latency stream works. If you do have a look at SAR just be aware that SAR's automatic application routing no longer works on W10 due to the changes made to audio routing in the Spring Update. So once an endpoint has been created, the application will need to be routed using the Windows Sound Settings. Unfortunately after all of this I'm still unable to get an input into Rocksmith from my Focusrite 2i2, so wish I'd waited and bought the 2nd gen.

@@sealab_2021 this isn't the correct place to report it. If you visit the record page for the cdlc you will see that an alternative download link was posted.
  12. According to the message displayed from Dropbox, he's hit his download limit. Maybe try another time.
  13. @@brubeck99 You can add DD with CustomsForge Song Manager, it might not be as great as if it was done manually by the creator but it might help you play something ahead of your current ability.
  14. As far as I understand it and after reading around the web, the large numbers are related to Mastery of the song. However I don't understand why they aren't at 100% for songs without DD. Can't really find any actual info about this anywhere and to add to the puzzlement. RS2014 only has an in game manual which is very basic.
  15. Here's my first trys. Lead, needs work. Bass Again, kind of oddly I've done better on advanced bass. Rhythm Needed bar chord practice but now my hand hurts. This one is good open chord practice but he sounds so relaxed I almost fall asleep and miss the fast chord changes.
  16. Here's my first trys. Lead, need to work more on quick shifting and actually playing the riff rather than randomly moving fingers. Beginner Bass Oddly I found Intermediate easier on the first run through. No doubt that will change, Will try to improve my scores throughout the week.
  17. Thanks for the reply, it's good to know I'm not the only one who had issues with note detection.
  18. I believe the Zeppelin song was edited by the radio stations themselves to make it radio friendly. I just find the large gap destroys any flow I had going. I expect that is something that can be overcome with practice though as many songs have sections where a particular instrument drops out. Download the revolution is an odd one, The rhythm part should be easy but I just couldn't get it and I found I missed the b string too often on the D chord shapes, I usually strum chords on the acoustic and the neck is somewhat thinner on my Ibanez. The bass is a bit ahead of my ability atm dues to the unexpected shifts that take place. All a good experience though, thanks for the challenge.
  19. Kind of struggled to learn anything this week. It's been great to play songs I wouldn't normally attempt though. For example I'm not in to listening to metal but I love attempting to play it. No metal here though. This one although it should be easy, I found a little challenging and found that often the notes don't get recognised. For this bass which again should be easy but I can't seem to move fast enough to stay in time. Additionally the huge percussive/orgasmic sounds section in the middle prevents me wanting to play it through more than a couple of times. and this for bass would be a lot of fun if I could just get it down. Anyway I tried, thanks for the variety. :)
  20. @@Fandaru I hadn't actually thought about it, was just trying everything that looks kind of playable and spamming my scores. Advanced bass would be kind of weird though, I don't even own a bass guitar :D
