Calibrating didn't work, didn't make any difference whatsoever. Never had the error message on my Stagg or Fender guitars, only the bass. Yeah i do find hitting the string lower down triggers in the string, but also have to hit it really hard, and i mean REALLY hard. Since turning up the cable volume I don't have to whack it one lol.

Got it, turned the microphone/cable volume up in sound control panel and (fingers crossed) it seems to be fine now, was just strange it was only the one string it wasn't picking up.

I recently got a Fender J-Bass (bought cheap) everything seems to be fine with it except everytime i tune it tells me my volume is too low, but the volume is turned all the way up on the bass and it struggles to pick up E string while tuning and playing (the amount of notes it misses cos it thinks i havent hit it is ridiculous). I've tried calibrating but still get the same thing. Anyone know what it could be causing it?

Not 100% true, i will attempt a song without DD, if it's like pop punk or something and know it will only use power chords :P But if I can't do it, i will rage quit and go and put DD on it myself (then when it breaks the game i will delete it :P)

I'm a total noob at making CDLC...making my first one following the tuts, everything was good until i reached packing...come to select arrangements and I get this http://imgur.com/3rQwOg6 Any idea why? I am at a loss

Basically got into RS because my boyfriend was playing it, so i decided to get it then i found out Mark made customs so thats how i ended up on the previous site....then that shut down and basically my best friend and her husband decided to set up here (if Mark hadn't beat us too it we would have made a new customs site :P) and needed some help and then my boyfriend ended up here too...so yeah thats in brief of how i ended up here xD

Without checking I THINK it's Green Day - Walk Away, i played it many times over a few weeks back (on bass at least) cos I was on 99.4% and wanted 100% but kept missing a few notes everytime i tried to get it lol (still not got 100% on it), so yeah, pretty sure its that. It not its either Patent Pending - One Less Heart To Break or Green Day - Oh Love xD

I played a load on guitar and never unlocked anything, when when i completed the bass on the songs i'd already done both lead/rhythm on it unlocked a load of venues so you could try that.

It's a problem with everyone, i think the one with the lock on you are seeing is the "advertised" version, you should have the 3 dlc showing without the lock too, but there seems to be a probelm and no one seems to be able to access the songs despite buying them (me included). Last I heard Steam were looking into it. But i suppose it could be due to the Ubisoft problem.

Only time i've had it is if i've switched to a different application (i use excel at same time as rocksmith, so flick between the two), that error comes up when i switch back to RS. All I can think of is maybe theres a dodgy connection the cable so it thinks you're unplugged.

And that answers what I was just going to ask, my Slash DLC's aren't showing in RS, i highly doubted it was linked to Uplay not being connected but was going to ask anyway....

Awesome, yeah i know, its just going annoyingly slow when i esc it haha (is in its taking ages to respond to the esc prompt, everything else is fine). Least I know it's not just me, RS does crazy stuff on me, so just wanted to make sure it was happening to everyone.

Is anyone else having this probem tonight? I've just tried multiple times and it keeps failing to log in is, asks for the password and stuff again but then says it can't connect to the server. Just wondering if it's just me....

Yes they do. I know I do, not just because i have a stat fetish (we are talking a girl who has a spreadsheet with all her customs in and whether sh'e played them or not, complete with a randomiser to choose a random song to play), but with being a beginner i find it useful to know when i've improved on a score and how many times i've played a song. If i lost my scores I would be hella annoyed. I remember losing my iTunes library once, i was more annoyed at losing my play counts than my songs.

Yeah it does, as long as the file name is the same as it used before from what i've seen.

Slash (well Guns N Roses), but can't remember whether it was Sweet Child o' MIne or November Rain that orginally made me want to play. Admittedly I did only half heartedly learn back then, when i wanted to start to play properly again before xmas it wasn't an artist that made me want to do it, it was seeing my boyfriend playing, just made me want to learn again.

Ramones: I Wanna Be Sedated (Lead; CDLC; Pretty much the same concept as above) Queens of the Stone Age: Go With the Flow (Rhythm: RS1; Pack if you have it) Rob Zombie: Dragula (Lead; CDLC; Surprising this one is pretty easy too; Just a little Vibrato in the beginning and only a tad bit of quick fretting in a couple spots but only for a couple beats) Marilyn Manson: Tainted Love [Cover] (Lead; CDLC) --- Getting a little more advanced: (Just a little ;) ) Marilyn Manson: Sweet Dreams [Cover] (Lead; CDLC; Once you get the riff down it's really fun, the most difficult part of the song would only have to be the riff+slides but not hard to Master and a very recognizable riff.) I'm sure there's more but I'm just going on what I see to be pretty easy, Personally, I think that Bloodhound Gang songs are pretty easy myself, I started on those when I first got into CDLC but a majority of their songs are pretty derogatory. (Come on this is the band that brought you the song "The Bad Touch (Discovery Channel)", which I'm surprised hasn't been charted...) ---- I kind of just realize I went way off topic with this post.... :- Thanks I can play Ramones on about half difificulty, I just haven't played it enough for it to level up haha, will give some of the others ago.
