  1. The game can only display 6 strings max so it's more of a tuning guideline. Songs will just use the top 6 of a 7/8 string and things played on the higher strings will either be transposed up by the charter or pitch shifted. There's an extended range mod in rsmods which swaps to an alternate string colour set for songs lower than a certain pitch, shifting every thing down so the E string is still red and making the low B string a dark green-ish colour instead, but you still only get 6 displayed in-game.
  2. It's currently not possible since we don't have the tools to get custom models into the game yet.
  3. Either set them to the required 16 bit, 48000 Hz output in windows settings or use rsmods to allow for other output settings to be used by rocksmith.
  4. You can set the default difficulty using the "Sightreading Level" or lower the level down speed in the "Difficulty Settings"
  5. Tried it on bass first for a warmup. Gui. Wish I wasn't getting these random misses during the intro, other than that pretty nice song.
  6. By the looks of it I guess you got eof to auto generate them. FHP/anchors are used to show where you should place your hand and generally which fingers to use. By default EOF will only use a 4 fret radius and will often place the changes later than they should be, so for lead parts where you can get away with longer stretches it often isn't great. You can use shift + F11 to cycle the sections view to display FHP if you generated it manually by using ctrl + A, and then selecting Note/Rocksmith/Generate fhp. Then you can modify the generated result by using shift + F. So something like this is still using the 12 fret anchor from before the phrase change and has extra FHP changes where you could play it all from fret 15 and stretch instead. I'd do it more like this. Which'd show up in game like this meaning you keep the one fingering position for the whole riff making it cleaner and easier to read compared to how it was before.

  8. Gonna be a high score off on mc bass this week. Gui.
  9. DLC isn't cross platform so there's nothing that can be done. The file formats for pc and console are also different so it's not like you could just copy them over either.
  10. Bonus rhythm is the 5 string bass so I just played the standard rhythm. "Played" is a bit of an overstatement with this score tho. 4 string bass time.
  11. Charts of delisted dlc still follow our guidelines on dlc charts and the sharing of delisted odlc files still constitutes as piracy. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/67371-staffs-response-to-charts-of-delisted-odlc/ You can re-chart it for personal use as long as you don't distribute it, but that's about it since there's no legal way to get them anymore.
  12. Delisted odlc still aren't able to be made into custom songs. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/67371-staffs-response-to-charts-of-delisted-odlc/
  13. It's generally classed as vocaloid [genre name], so "vocaloid metal" or "vocaloid jazz". "Vocaloid music" as a whole is mostly used to refer to the "classic" vocaloid songs. There are a few vocaloid specific "genres" like "Vocaloud" though which rely on the vocaloid being present. Given how most of it is independently created it also has strong ties to the doujin music scene (although doujin =/= vocaloid and vice versa), so rather than a genre it's more of a style which can be used across a multitude of genres.
  14. Yep, they're done using the Utau software. So it's basically splicing a bunch of pre-recorded vocal samples together, pitching them and adding vibrato. The software is more open than vocaloid so the voicebanks are free and user generated but the software is quite a bit less capable. Generally for vocaloid metal you make them scream by setting it to whisper and then running it through an amp sim, but Maiko's voicebank was recorded as screams already giving it quite a different sound.
  15. Yea it's a bit weird. I think their other stuff use real guitar so it might be one of their early ones, but it's hard to tell since they deleted everything off the internet.
  16. Bassy boi. Shame it's missing all the palm mutes. Only know about this song because of SHEBA's utau cover.
  17. The out of memory exception is probably because the file is too big to unpack with the toolkit since it's a 32 bit program. Even if you unpacked it all the files are stored as individual sng/xml/wem files, half of which have a random number as a name so you'd have to sort through every single dlc song and piece them together manually. It's really not worth trying.
  18. Folders of multiple cdlc are against out site guidelines. But you can view your previously downloaded cdlc here.
  19. Nifskope and rstoolkit can be used to add models (from other areas of the game, not brand new ones) and to change textures. Custom fonts/ui colours can be done with JPEX flash decompiler https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/53049-colds-crap/page/5/#comment-356026 https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/65447-custom-loftsguides-inside/#comment-353081
  20. Delisted songs can still be redownloaded from steam after delisting but new people cannot purchase them. Charts of delisted songs still follow our guidelines on dlc charts and sharing of delisted odlc through cf still counts as piracy. Here's the update post on the our current stance. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/67371-staffs-response-to-charts-of-delisted-odlc/#comment-373841
  21. Pretty nice song, been in the mood for some thrash lately.
  22. You can use the RSXml Combiner, it's mostly used for making full album charts. You'll have to unpack the psarc files to get the audio/xml files first though.
  23. Change the min note distance in preferences, or just press no to ignore the warning since it's not actually messing with the note positions.
  24. You can enter and exit the shop form the main menu to reload the song list or use rsmods to either check for new songs in the dlc folder automatically or re-enumerate from a hotkey.
