How do I make my tone change at different moment of the song ?
coldrampage replied to Bliss20's topic in DLC Builder
If no one complains assume it's fine, they'll let you know if it's bad, there isn't too much feedback going on round here unfortunately. But don't try to make tones directly in dlc builder through the gui, do it through rocksmith in tone designer and import the result from your save file or copy over the settings if you're making small value adjustments. There's also a library of odlc tones built into dlc builder so you can get some pretty good result by finding something similar sounding and modifying that. -
The song ends when the audio file ends. The END phrase controls where the last section ends and where the highway gets cut off (similarly the COUNT phrase controls where the highway starts.) If you changed audio files during testing, delete the generated .wem files to use the updated audio and make sure it's the same one that was used in eof.

Delisted songs still aren't able to be uploaded as customs here. You can chart it for your own personal use as long as you don't upload it tho. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/67371-staffs-response-to-charts-of-delisted-odlc/ Otherwise a decent workaround is using a youtube playthrough instead.

Disc import tool for steam with Rocksmith 1 on PS3
coldrampage replied to maquoo's question in Rocksmith Remastered
I don't think it's cross platform, playstation/xbox checks for an achievement in rs1 while the pc version checks your steam account for owning rs1. https://theriffrepeater.com/guide-importing-rocksmith-2011-to-rocksmith-2014-remastered/ If you buy a steam key for the original rocksmith (and then the disc import tool) you can still import them on pc though. -
The tools needed are listed in this guide https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/35318-cdlc-creation-for-rocksmith-2014-remastered/

I just play in windowed mode and stick it next to it. Maybe something like this'd work? https://github.com/WindowTop/WindowTop-App- 27 replies

(Unofficial) RockSniffer GUI

I've been using rockbuddy instead lately. It's main use is for adding leaderboards to cdlc songs but it also provides a gui display of your current accuracy and streak. https://github.com/tnt-coders/rock-buddy-app- 27 replies

You can edit tones fairly easily using dlc builder with the "import psarc (quick edit)" feature. It loads it into dlc builder for you you edit and when you're done it repacks it and replaces the original file and leaves behind no project files (unlike the toolkit) Download the windows build (dlcbuilder-win-1.6.2.exe) from the releases page, not the source code from the main page. You'll also need wwise 2021 instead of the 2013 version that the toolkit uses. Also might need the .net 6 runtime if it's not installed. The readme explains most of this anyway though. This is a new subforum for dlc builder, all the old toolkit support has been moved and this one hasn't been used yet.

Maybe this'd be useful, but the amp section is a little small. Has quite a lot of the effects though. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2827328675

Rocksmith 2014 Championship Week 501
coldrampage replied to Mikson's topic in Rocksmith Championship
Gave my bass a setup and lowered the action a fair bit, plays way better now. Feels like cheating lmao. I do like a bit of madness. Quite nice. Oh yea pretty good chart. Might have to try for a 99. -

This thread has a playlist of songs that were on cf tagged as jazz on spotify, some might be missing for dead links but it's probably still worth a look. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/66960-jazz-cldcs-recommendations

don't understand some guitar techniques in cdlc
coldrampage replied to rrp's question in Rocksmith Remastered
For the this one I'm just assuming it's a bad tab/chart, since it's also telling you to pull off notes that you can't. It's likely that they are supposed to be on the note afterwards, like here you're supposed to pull off to the 0 but it's marked on the 9 instead. I'd just ignore it and play how it sounds best. With a tremolo system. Although natural harmonics are supposed to be charted without sustains (and bends) for detection reasons. -
No way to download old official DLCs?
coldrampage replied to ebbot64's question in Rocksmith Remastered
The license on the songs expired after 10 years so Ubisoft can no longer legally sell it. -
Nice. Ah a song that appears above the A category in RS, now I can finally hear something that isn't "Aching Head - Self-Destruct" when opening LAS mode. Oh yea, a classic. This is gonna be stuck in my head all day now lol. Good 'ol mth, main reason I wanted to learn slap bass. I see what cacahuate51 is saying about the verse part, could probably be moved up a string to be a bit easier. Normally I just shift over to play the 10 without too much issue but the transition at the end is pretty tricky as it is now. And a quick MC rhythm.

Is it possible (or even appropriate) to edit current CDLC?
coldrampage replied to raveyman's question in Rocksmith Remastered
Often it's more of a hassle working around what has already been done than just redoing it yourself, especially if you need to make any beatmap adjustments since they don't import too well from xml files and have a bunch of extra anchors compared to loading a proper eof file. There's also no permission issues since you've done it all yourself too. Psarc files are pretty reversible using all the standard cdlc making tools though and you can edit them if you want to. Just import the file in dlc builder with the "remove DD levels", "generate eof project" and "convert to .ogg" import settings and it'll give you an eof file you can open and modify. -
Rocksmith 2014 Championship Week 499
coldrampage replied to Rodman's topic in Rocksmith Championship
Pretty fun. Had to try iron maiden on bass too. Gui. -
The no cable launcher is obsolete, use the direct connect mode from rsmods instead to achieve the same effect. If your cfsm is out of date it might be installing the wrong dll, try getting the latest one from here to be safe too.

Rocksmith 2014 Championship Week 499
coldrampage replied to Rodman's topic in Rocksmith Championship
Guess it doesn't like my SA mod since it seems to have added all the other scores. I got beaten last min by Razrshred tho, so we both lose lol. -
eof doesn't support gp or gpx files, you've gotta convert it to gp5 first.

I tried to pick something other than all mc bass tracks or 7/8 string songs since that's mostly what I play, but still ended up with a few of them. Tried to get a good difficulty spread too. Hamaguchi Shirou - Sakkijarven Polkka (Beginner rhythm + bass, adv lead) (E standard) Kitauji Quartet - Tutti! (MC bass, idk about lead since I've never played it) (Bass E standard) Utsu-P - poster girl's prank (Adv L/R/B) (It's in drop B, I'll do a drop D pitch shifted version if needed) Maximum the hormone - black yen power g-man spy (MC bass, int lead) (Drop D)
