  1. Yeah.... you should really set up your guitar properly before you do anything else. As others have said, the only way you can break a low e string is if you tried tuning it an octave too high. Your bridge saddles really shouldn't have to be that high. That tells me that your neck is probably way too straight. Your video showed you tightening the neck A LOT. When under full tension, it should bow/bend just slightly away from you (when in a playing position). Once you get that corrected, THEN adjust the bridge saddles individually. Most people when the bridge saddles as low as possible without the string buzzing on any fret, or buzzing during bending on any fret. I'm sure you can find a setup tutorial video in your native language, if that would help. And again, don't forget to loosen the strings fully before adjusting the truss rod in your neck.
  2. When you play open strings, the string vibrates across a larger distance. Especially the harder you pick the string. This means that the string is more likely to hit your pickups or other frets. It sounds like this it what's happening here - probably not a defect with the bridge or nut. You could try either lowering the pickup (just a bit on the bottom end) or raising the bridge saddles. If you haven't done a proper setup on your guitar, then definitely check out some online tutorials on how to do that to ensure that you're getting the best best playability and intonation. Also, I wouldn't advise that you ever make adjustments to the truss rod in your neck when your string are at full tension. It's pretty easy to do some serious damage to your neck that way. Making adjustments in small increments (usually a 1/4 turn) with the strings severely detuned or even removed is the way to go.
  3. For me this is so much easier to fix directly in EoF, after you've imported the tab. There are ways to author most everything in GP and have it import reasonably well into EoF, but there will almost always have to be a small amount of streamlining required by the user in EoF. Honestly, most of your questions about "Guitar Pro can't do this" or "Guitar Pro doesn't import correctly into EoF"... etc. are very easy to fix. You'd just need to get more comfortable authoring and editing in EoF. It may seem hard, but I assure you it isn't - and it will save you TONS of time and headaches. I've literally never had a tab that imported perfectly. You'll always have to make one change or another, whether it's to note sustains, tech notes, adding arpeggios/handshapes. There's always something :D
  4. so i dont need to do what he did above this in WWise? so i dont need to do what he did above this in WWise? Correct. You can now use the Toolkit to create the .wem audio file (this is all WWise does). However, you still need to have Wwise installed because the Toolkit accesses WWise through the command line. This feature of the Toolkit wasn't available when the tutorial was made, so it's not shown there.
  5. Regarding WWise, I used to have problems with it crashing during startup if I had other open applications running. The good news is, once WWise is installed correctly, you don't even need to open it anymore (it just needs to be installed). The Toolkit can create the .wem file for you - this is located under the OGG tab in the Toolkit. As for what do do with the EoF arrangements, it sounds like that's more a question of how to use the Toolkit. This Post should help you there: http://customsforge.com/topic/1922-how-to-make-pc-cdlcs-for-rocksmith-2014-tutorial-wscreenshots-by-darjusz/?p=8920
  6. WWise is free. And it's a required tool in order to create CDLC. Also, none of the required tools have viruses, so I have no idea what you might be doing to cause that. It's either a false positive from your anti-virus software, or something related to other activities outside of RS tools. Sounds like (aside from WWise), the part that you're having trouble with is packaging everything up with the Toolkit. It's not a one-click process because the Toolkit puts together the song information, audio, arrangments from EoF, album cover picture, and the guitar tones you select. All of these things get packaged into a .psarc file that Rocksmith uses. If we're going to help you, you'll need to be as specific as possible with your questions.
  7. For those who might be waiting on Carouselambra's bassline, here's the completed bass CDLC: https://www.dropbox.com/s/mgxqfazmblsfq9n/Led-Zeppelin_Carouselambra_v1_p.psarc?dl=0 Just note that I haven't tested this in any way yet, and there are currently no RS sections.
  8. Yes indeed. I've got it all charted, just need to create the tones and test it as a whole. It should be released soon along with All of My Love, which is basically in the same state of completion.
  9. Please read these tutorials in full: http://customsforge.com/topic/901-how-to-use-custom-dlcs-in-rs2014/ http://customsforge.com/topic/10000-song-not-showing-up-lets-fix-that/ Most likely the second one will help you, but I always suggest that those new to CDLCs read and implement the first one too (if you haven't already).
  10. It's my fault. Looks like I was wrong about the steps that would cause it. For me, it occurs when moving a beat that is between other anchored beats. Here's a test project for you: https://www.dropbox.com/s/vaeubtcfb09qbjt/notes.eof?dl=0 The glitch can be triggered by clicking and dragging the first beat of either the second or third measure.
  11. @@raynebc I think I've come across a wrinkle in the tempo map fix present in the latest hotfix (11-22). When working with a 12/8 tempo map, I'm still experiencing a similar type of "corruption" issue as before. The problem occurs when moving the first beat of every other measure in 12/8. Moving the first beat of each measure works just fine, but moving every other down beat causes the first measure to become corrupt. It's happened in 3 12/8 projects that I've started new under the 11-22 hotfix, so I doubt you'd need a project file from (but certainly let me know if it'd help). To reproduce it, just start with a blank 12/8 tempo map, anchor the first beat somewhere and then move the downbeat of measure 3. The good news is that (using the above example) you're at least able to successfully adjust measure 2 again. :)
  12. I think i just have to sart all over again, because that's the only way. That's way more work than is necessary. Just move the beat markers manually (the first beat of every measure) starting at the point where the BPM dropped to 72. The notes will snap into place. Turning on the "grid snap" feature will also help, if you haven't done so already. Since the problem occurs at the very end of the song, it should only take you about 30 seconds. You have 4 of the best charters in the community and the man who created/develops EoF helping you. We're here to help you, and we're damn good at it :)
  13. If that's the problem that you're referring to, then it's really easy to fix directly in EoF. Especially since it's very near the end of the song.
  14. Did you have a question? Because other than removing the slide/linknext note that's not needed, I don't see anything that needs fixing.
  15. Also, you have to select (highlight in blue) which tones you want to import. If there are multiple tones and only the bass tone is highlighted, that's all you'll get.
  16. I've never heard of anything like this before. EoF does not create any file(s) with a ".mem" extension, to my knowledge. Could you elaborate a bit more?
  17. The capo won't show up in the Toolkit unless you have added in your EoF project first. You can find it under track>pro guitar>set capo. Also, make to save the project before you exit EoF. If you've added it correctly, EoF will show "c=(fretnumber)" in yellow as shown here: http://i.imgur.com/9wGhkkA.jpg Once you add the arrangement to the toolkit, it will not indicate the presence of the capo until you click ok and return to the main screen where all of the arrangements are listed. Hope this helps.
  18. Just to re-enforce what @@firekorn said, this is NOT a problem with EoF. EoF behaves this way on purpose... because RS cannot display what you have written in your Guitar Pro file. Your only options are to either edit your GP file to include a starting point for the slide (then import it to EoF), or fix it directly in EoF using the instructions that PC Plum gave you.
  19. This is because there are no RS sectioned defined in this CDLC. Adding DD will not create them. It will simply treat the entire song as one sectioned and create DD within that. It doesn't seem as though the original charter is supporting this song, so either you or someone else will need to add the sections on your own. You can either use the RS toolkit and follow these instructions, or use this tool to add sections.
  20. @@Berneer Thanks! I'm glad it was helpful to you. That's a great tip about the time stretch feature. I did not know that. My PC isn't the greatest either, so I feel your pain. You really do get used to "reading" the waveform the more you do it, so I can definitely understand why some people have difficulty with it at first. Having any type of a music backround is a huge help too.
  21. Yesss this^^^^. So much this^^^^ :)
  22. Hots On for Nowhere, In the Evening, South Bound Saurez, Fool in the Rain, and Hot Dog are released! Now on to the 10 minute bass-a-thon that is Carouselambra :)
  23. So, I was able to get this working finally. Thanks everyone for your input! I think resetting the offset to zero is what finally stopped it from crashing after tuning. I usually do not have the offset at zero in my projects - just the way I tend to do things. I have no idea if there's really a "right or wrong" on that. However, I have a new problem :) It seems that something related to showlights is missing from the .psarc since the in-game venue does not display. The bass arrangement has a completely black backround while the lead part has the sort of "generic" backdrop. How might fix this? Here's the .psarc if needed: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zal63i4qhlkki59/Jimi-Hendrix-Experience-The_All-ALong-the-Watchtower_v1_p.psarc?dl=0
  24. No worries. I have no idea when I'd start working on another Quadrophenia song. I'm just trying to plan ahead. I can always start with Drowned when I get there. If James has one or both of the bass parts done, I can start with those. Either way works.
  25. @@JamesPrestonUK Do you have any bass parts worth sharing for Bellboy and I've had enough? Once I get through some troubleshooting/testing with the songs that are clogging up my pipeline I may want to take a look at these two. Really no hurry - just wanted to see if you've got anything in progress. If you want to do both guitar and bass, then I can always work on some other Quadrophenia songs. Btw, love your new avatar :D
