  1. Quick update: My apologies, as I've really been slacking on the Zeppelin lately. I'm just not a huge fan of Coda, aside from one or two songs, so it's not easy to convince myself to spend hours working on a songs that I don't particularly enjoy. That being said, I've got a few of them underway, just trying to reign in some of JPJ's beastly efforts and correct the available GP tabs' cookie cutter basslines. Aside from Coda, there should be a couple of VERY exciting surprises coming soon for some Led Zeppelin II tracks :D
  2. By "anacrusis" do you mean that there's a grace note that is played just before the beat? I'm not sure if you can author this in GP5 or not, but you can always add into EoF manually after you've imported the tab. You kind of lost me here... so if my answer is off, then hopefully you elaborate on this so I can try again :)
  3. We're probably going to need a lot more information than that in order to help you. What do you mean, "without a note chart?" As much information you can give about what you've done so far and the conditions upon which it "doesn't work" would be helpful.
  4. Sounds like you may want to re-calibrate using Rocksmith. I'm not entirely sure how active setups work, but now that you've changed the battery, it could be that your pickups are now "hotter" than they were. If this is the cause, re-calibrating should help. And no, unlocking new equipment does not change any of your tone presets. It just makes that equipment available when you use the tone editor.
  5. Without being able to see the project files, we can't say for sure, but my best guess is that there is no COUNT phrase in your project. If your first section starts on the very first measure in EoF, then you'll need to add an entire (blank) measure before that so that EoF can add a count phrase for you. The good news is, it super easy to do. Just use the "push offset back" 4 times (or however meany beats are in a measure for your song) and then re-save. The only other thing you'll need to do is use DDC again in order for the changes to take effect in the "DDC_PART_REAL_GUITAR..." .xml files. If this doesn't solve your issue, then please do provide a link to your project files.
  6. Check to make sure that you're following the PC instructions (if you do in fact have a PC, and vice versa). The above sounds like the Mac instructions. If you weren't able to have success with either of the .dll files, then it probably means that you did not place it in the correct folder. It goes in the root folder, not the dlc folder. Also, check to make sure you don't have multiple .dll files, or ones that have a "(2)" in the name. If you do, it will not work.
  7. What I think you should do, as I've said before, is add whatever slides/notes you're referring into EoF after you've imported the tab. You do realize that you can do this, right? If it's only a couple of slides or notes, it would only take you a minute or two at the most.

  9. Technically speaking, the "no cable patch" is a form a piracy, since it's not officially sanctioned by Ubisoft. So it's not likely that you'll find much help regarding that. It doesn't sound like the cable (or the no cable patch) is the source of your problem, since you seemed to suggest that you get the same level of noise with both of them. It's probably either: 1) Your guitar not being properly grounded or you're near something that's causing the buzzing. Especially if you have single coil pickups, as they are very prone to environmental factorsc (i.e. fluorescent lights, electronics). Do you get lots of hum when you play through an amp? 2) Your Rocksmith settings. Try calibrating your guitar if you haven't done it in a while, or if you've changed guitars since you last calibrated. Might be worth messing with some of the other audio options if the buzzing is really bad. 3) Your computer's audio interface may be causing the buzzing. Be sure any/all applicable drivers are up to date. Hopefully that helps, but don't be too worried if you can't eliminate the buzzing completely. I've found that certain tones and Rocksmith amps/settings cause noise in my setup too.
  10. That's a false positive. It's not a virus. You'll probably want to exclude or "whitelist" the folder that contains the Toolkit in order for it to work properly. You may even need to download it again, if you're not able to recover the file that it deleted.
  11. @@JoeCow - I've never heard of anything like that happening before. Are you using the most up to date version of Rocksmith? Maybe this was a bug that has been addressed by one of Ubisoft's updates. I doubt it would work, but perhaps try using the patcher .exe (option right below the .dll link in the tutorial) instead of the .dll.
  12. For the tremolo notes just click on the note and press ctrl + shift + o to add tremolo in EoF For the bend in the first picture, it looks like the second half (the release of the bend) didn't import. Maybe it's not authored properly in guitar pro? Anyway, just add it manually into EoF. 1) Turn grid snap on through the menu or by pressing the , and . keys. Setting it to 1/16 should work fine in most cases. You'll want to leave grid snap on pretty much all the time. 2) click on the note and add sustain with the ] key. 3) press F4 to switch tech view on/off 4) right click to add tech notes where you want them. In this case it would be at the high and low points of the bend. press Ctrl + b to input the strength of the bends. It would be well worth your time to learn how to chart basic notes and bends in EoF. That way you won't have to constantly get stuck when things don't import 100% perfectly.
  13. Not really sure what your question is, since those look like the correct notes to me. Could you give us more information?
  14. Yes i did,but at the neck adjust point,is where i stuckd. It didn's seem any effect if i lose the strings more in the trus rod(I even mesuered it and nothing realy changed),can be the neck's problem? It's possible that the truss rod may not be working properly. But as long as you can turn it and it still feels attached, then you should be fine. But if you have turned it more than once or twice around and there is no change... there's a good chance it's broken. Honestly, I think your neck is too straight, or over-tightened. The video that you posted showed you tightening the truss rod A LOT, which is only going to make your buzzing worse. Can you describe the straightness of your neck when the strings are tightened (the normal amount)? Is it perfectly straight, or does it have a slight bend? If it has a bend, then which way does it bend?
  15. Does your neck have a slight curve to it? If your truss rod is adjusted properly, the neck should bend away from you a VERY tiny amount. I honestly think that your neck is too straight, and has been all along. Did you follow the text tutorial that I sent you?
  16. Don't really want to hijack this thread but that's an interesting ethos , I would also lke to give as much as I take but was wondering if you see it as upload 1 = download 1 or maybe uploading a track is worth more downloading a track. If it's a 1 for 1 basis , I've only got about 9000 odd songs to go before I break even :( By that math, I'd be in the same boat as you! IMO it doesn't have to be a 1 to 1 ratio. I'd like to imagine that each person that downloads one of my customs is happy that I took the time to make it - just as I am when I download one that someone else has made. People contribute in other ways too. Whether it's answering questions in the help section, the friendly competition of the Championships, or even simple conversations. You can't really measure the ways that human interaction affects people.
  17. The first question would be, why would you even want to do this? You're basically encouraging people to get CDLCs from a torrent, rather than become a member here. Not to mention that everything you'd be sharing is already HERE. Assuming I have a choice (which I don't), I wouldn't want my customs to be part of a collection like that. The more people that come here, the more likely it is that we gain more quality charters and engaged members of the community. I want to give as much, if not more than I take, while giving people every opportunity to do the same. Clearly, not everyone thinks that way.
  18. Just released All My Love and I'm Gonna Crawl yesterday, to round out the last studio album of original Zeppelin material. Really looking forward to a couple of songs from Coda, so perhaps I'll do a few of them out of order :)
  19. @ I don't mean a literal reward. I was speaking in the figurative sense.
  20. That'd be an F major chord. Get used to it, because you'll see it a lot :) This type of chord is also known as a bar chord (or barre, I suppose), because your pointer finger forms a bar across the entire fretboard. In this case, across the first fret. This is a VERY common shape, and you'll see it all up and down the neck because you can form any major chord with it - i.e. a bar chord at the 3rd fret is a G major, and at the 5th fret it's a A major, etc. The numbers 1,2,3,4 at the very bottom left of your pic are demonstrating how to play it, however the 3 and 4 are in mid-animation. They are on their way to the yellow and blue strings, respectively.
  21. @@firekorn and @@Teckie I agree with just about everything you guys said. IMO it boils down to two things: 1) Having a system that is inclusive, but also rewards quality 2) Encouraging both engagement and constructive criticism - which sort of ties into the above point. When you reward quality, charters are (hopefully) going to be driven to improve and learn. Which means we should have some way of quantifying a quality custom, in a way that isn't easily corrupted (i.e the SA rating system). Regarding engagement... when I started charting over at SA (we had to walk to school uphill, in the snow, both ways - and bread was a nickel :)), I learned a lot through simple constructive comments that were made in the threads of my CDLC. And the positive comments were equally motivating. I don't know what the number used to be, but now, I get about 1 comment for every 100 downloads. We have have a MASSIVE amount of users, but a very small percentage that post semi-frequently (let alone submit customs). IMO our size is a resource that we're not putting to use. Perhaps by encouraging people to comment, and dare I say it, rate CDLC... we could bring some of these users into the fold. In order to prevent tampering, perhaps there would be an x # of characters required for your assessment and rating score. With a "flag" button, so that users can report reviews that aren't constructive. It may not be perfect, but something along those lines might encourage people to engage more, while also rewarding quality. Anyway, just a few (sort of) quick thoughts. @@cozy1
  22. Is anyone else having trouble with the link for DDC v3.0 in the OP? Not working for me at the moment. Edit: Nevermind, it was just REALLY lagging. Took about 2 minutes for Google Chrome to start behaving :)
  23. It's probably not that simple, I'm afraid. Each note would need to be transcribed for an E standard tuning, and even if you could do that in a way that makes sense, there's likely going to be A LOT of notes that have a pitch lower than your low E string. Which means you wouldn't be able to play them. If you play a lot of songs that are tuned to D standard or below, it might be worth buying a heavier set of strings and setting your guitar up properly for heavy string/down-tuned play.
  24. Unfortunately, the "text to tab" feature of GP6, doesn't really work all that well. It requires that the text tab be formatted in a very specific way, and even then, it's far from helpful in my experience.
  25. @@cozy1 Awesome job on that fix! I'll never need to use it myself, but that's a job well done. This is kind of a microcosm of a larger issue, IMO. Finding some way to regulate (or dare I say it - rate) the CDLC area without discouraging people from creating and updating them. More quality charters and CDLC is always a good thing, but this is obviously a very delicate issue. I very nearly wrote a bunch of bullet points on this, but this probably isn't the appropriate place :D It sounds like you guys are discussing some potential solutions now, which is great. For what it's worth, feel free to PM me if my input would be helpful in any way.
