  1. @@NullP It's clearly a problem on your end, my cable hasn't encounter any problem, it's still the same as 3 years ago.
  2. The list could be usefull for some (like me) who take a quick look but i'm not sure that's the majority of the charter here... I strongly sugest to get back to the author and clearly stated to them that there is a problem with the custom, it's the best way to resolve the issue. And i don't demand you to delete the list and i appreciate the effort of listing all those problems, but doinig just a list won't solve the problem for a majority of these.
  3. The best thing is to go on the cdlc page and alert the author, nobody will take a look here to check if one of their custom is on the list... And the same name list is pointless, there is no point in changing some songs names just because of this... it's bad that it can lead to crashes but i never encounter this at the moment and nobody ever report it to me (yeah one of my own custom is on the list). And i won't alter the song names since anybody can do it really easily if they need to.
  4. The first message is pretty explicit, check if you are using special character somewhere. Fore the second one, are you sure that you have check the Save Rocksmith 2 Files in your EOF preferences? For the last one, does your .wem preview file have the same name as the .wem song file with the _preview added at the end?
  5. The name in the toolkit define the part in RS so if you name it to bass, it will be a bass part, if you name it as a guitar it will be a guitar part. As i understand what you want to try, is to use a guitar part which as 6 strings to play a bass part (simply using the tunning of a bass on 5 strings and for the sixth define something you can play for the tunning part). I don't see why it wouldn't work if Rocksmith accept to set a tunning this low for a guitar but it seems to accept almost everything so... But if you create the bass part as bonus arrangement only people aware of this will use it.
  6. Probably, at least it worth the try but you will have to replace a guitar part by a bass which could be pretty confusing if you aren't aware of this...
  7. I played Trombone in an orchestra and somtimes we were tuned to A442 or 444 and i didn't really feel the difference. I've never made any recording myself with an A other than 440 so i don't have any point of comparaison, if i have time i will modified one of my recording to see (mostly ear) the difference.
  8. I have some time this weekend so i might be able to take a look at it.
  9. i barely give any thanks because i prefer to give constructive feedback first then see if the author correct his custom and finally thanked him. I see on my own custom that i don't have a lot of thanks but i know that many people enjoy my work (i have some guys who will like almost any custom i make) and knowing that people make request keep me going because i know at least one guy will enjoy the custom other than me. Finally the number of "thanks" or "like" is not so important in the end...
  10. You don't have to open it, just move it to your rocksmith DLC folder
  11. For the tab i'll simply search for them (mostly on ultimate guitar) but many solos have been readjusted by ear. I have to admit that it was easy to start without request because i know what i wanted to do but it's more fun to answer request since you know that at least one person will be glad you did it other than yourself. I'm glad you liked what i did and if you have anything to say about the customs please, say it! i'm not able to see or ear everything and i will gladly update customs if i have feedback.
  12. Updated : Sounds of a Playground Fading, The Quiet Place and Where the Dead Ships Dwell Created : Varmlandsvisan, Zombie Inc. and Dead Eternity
  13. http://uppix.net/L6R8Pgl.jpg http://uppix.net/miP5OTl.jpg http://uppix.net/qkW84pl.jpg Not bad for playing it only twice Might go to the masterclass next time but they seems to be out of my league...
  14. Every bass part with a C drop Bb or lower tunning are updated with the fixes, since i've done it without testing, any feedback good or bad is helpfull!
  15. The first bass update are here, please test it so we can address any problem with the workaround that @@Ross found! Bass update for the moment : -Crawl Through Knives -Dead End -Deliver Us More will be updated but i didn't take time to check it. So please any feedback, good or bad, will be helpfull!
  16. Will do the update today asap! And thanks for finding this!
  17. I will update mine during the day but some author might not know about this and telling them might be good.
  18. I'm not a bass player so i can't test it myself, but i will gladly link to the solution once it's working, just keep me posted!
  19. Will do for the already finished songs, for the new one, i will try but don't promise anything since it will be much harder to keep track of everything.
  20. Updated Sounds of a Playground Fading Add The Quiet Place and Where the Dead Ships Dwell PS : all bass part will be at least in C Standard (already available for Sounds of a Playground fading, the Quiet Place and Where the Dead Ships Dwell)
  21. Some people wanted to know how to record Rocksmith 2014 with some recording software. I'm using bandicam myself for all my recording and since some people we're asking in the chat, i've decided to create a tutorial about it. I'm sorry that this tutorial is only for windows user (don't know MAC OS enough) at the moment. 1.Required Software Obiously you'll need Rocksmith 2014 and bandicam Note that Bandicam in is free version will only include a watermark at the top of the video but no time limitation like fraps for exemple. 2.Rocksmith 2014 Settings You have to turn off the audio exclusivity of Rocksmith 2014 to allow bandicam to record the sounds of your PC. In Rocksmith : Tools ("space" on PC) => Options => Audio settings => Audio Exclusivity => Off (it's on by default) Once you've done that everything is ready in rocksmith! 3.Windows Settings Here is the trick, you need to set some parameters on your audio device to be able to record the sound. You need to setup the quality of your audio device, right clik on the speaker icon and choose Playback Device, then right click on the speaker you use while playing (will probably be your default one which has a check mark) and choose Propriety. Go to the "Advanced Statistique" tab and choose the "16bits, 48000 Hz (DVD quality)" for the audio format and that's all here. 4. Bandicam Once you've installed it, launch it! Go to the video tab => click on the "settings" button in the recording part Check the record sound and make sure that you're primary source is the "WASAPI" which is what you ear on your speaker then click "OK" Click on the other settings button For the video part, you probably want to choose the full scale, and depending on your free hard drive space, the FPS and quality settings, it's not really important but will impact the final quality of the video obviously. For the audio part, be sure tu choose 48000Hz for the frequency. 5.Recording You've already done the hardest part. The launch order between RS and Bandicam is not important but be sure that after both are launch, click on "target", and "DirectX/OpenGL window", then click on the "choose your target" and simply go back to rocksmith by clicking on it on your taskbar. If you've done it right by going back to the bandicam window you should see instead of "choose your target" the Rocksmith information. Then you just have to use the hotkey (F12 by default) to start recording and again to stop. If you have any correction or feedaback don't hesitate, it's just a start and adding some screenshot is on my to-do list!
  22. I found this problem sometimes too during testing my own song when i ussualy past the 80% bar, sometimes it just doesn't recognized anything and i fall under 40/30% but it just come and goes sometimes, it's not really clear why and since it's not that frequent, i don't really care about it.
  23. Guitar allow you because the recognition algorithm pick up what comes from the cable, not what happen after tone modification ingame but if only guitarist can play bassist part... It's become clearer and clearer that RS algorithm is at is limit with a B0 note and everything lower but it's at the frequency of ~30hz which is very low (at the edge of the human ear recognition).
  24. Since In Flames mostly play on C Drop Bb, i will only lost open and 1st fret on the E string, it isn't much and it might not be horrible to remplace it with an open or 1st fret on A or D string. I also had a tab with a E standard on bass, and it wasn't horrible so it might also be an alternative to transpose everything and it's not a problem for me. So i will look into it during next week.
