  1. @@Daegen You shure like blue les pauls!! Cool to have one with the classic humbuckers and the other one with the Emgs, I f I had a 2nd les paul I will put some emgs on them for sure, I bet there are major tone differences
  2. Yes, I think I'm addicted like you to RS2014, specially since I know this community and I spend a lot of time playing songs haha. I almost don't play outside of RS. I'm having big eye strain for being at the computer monitor for hours, I think I might need a new monitor maybe a newer one is easier on the eyes and I'm also planning to buy an amp.
  3. Beware SPOILER There is something that I didn't understand in the movie and I feel like its a unfinished thing. Who killed the pilot and who killed the guy that a phone was planted on him? I know that the pilot was killed by a blow dart from a hole in the airplane bathroom and the passenger seems to had the same death by poison.

    Amps!

I currently don't own an amp, yeah it sucks.. I use a Line 6 GX interface and I got Guitar Rig, Amplitube Metal, Pod farm, Peavey revalver and Ampeg Svx for bass. I wish i was not so computer dependable to play the guitar and I since I want to join a band I will likely be getting an amp. I'm thinking of a Roland Cube, at least 20w so drums don't kill the sound. I raed so many great reviews about those Cubes. I also have a keeley modified Metal Zone and a Weeping demon junior wha. I guess I will use this chain, guitar + metal zone + wha + amp cause for me wha is cooler after the distortion, otherwise the filter effect is much subtle. PS: I just remembered that I have an amp, a little Marshall MS2 wich I never use
  5. @@sleepy You must have the cheapest guitar acquisition in guitar history, 10 bucks only!! wow, I wish they have garage sales like that here. Was that LP in desperate need of some love or was playable when you got it? It says Gibson on the truss rod cover so you might be so lucky that you even got a korean one
  6. Just added some bucks in the bin that I had left on my account. Will surely add more in some days. Ubisoft charges 3 bucks a song so for all the customs that I'm enjoying I just feel that the least I can do is to contribute with this community. I will like to create customs to. Thanks for everything. ps: Members type users cant thank no more?
  7. @@GenMcMuffin that LTD es beautiful, it seems that you have an Original Floyd rose, strange that you broke strings, maybe you need a proper bridge setup. That will make a huge difference if its not ok.
  8. @@AtreidesGhola What year is your LP? I thought they come with burst buckers stock, mine has the BB Pro. They say that 498 pick ups are higher output, I might exchange them some day. That Taylor is gorgeous, where I live they cost more than 2k usd, that's insane!! An acoustic is what I want also but I'm waiting to travel to the States to get one hehe @@klack that's some really cool looking Paul for a beginner guitar, congratulations, and BTW Slash riffs are giving me some hard time, that's why his so good I guess @@dazedandbemused and @@dave you both have some beautiful guitar collections, I guess you both have some serious Guitar Acquisition Syndrome @@Spades Nice truss rod cover, I have seen that one on ebay, some months ago a german company called snake customs or something like that offered some cool metal treadplates for truss rod covers matching pickups thing to. Never see them again on ebay, bet they would look sick on my V.
  9. This is a beautiful thread, nice to see what are you guys playing. This are mine: http://i.cubeupload.com/9nMzTq.jpghttp://i.cubeupload.com/7uQk1S.jpg From left to right: Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded Cherry, I bought this one in Chicago where I lived some months a couple of years ago. This and my first guitar, a classic one were the only ones I purchased brand new. Jackson JS30 KV with floyd and EMG 81 85 ZW combo, I got this one on a online sell site (like US craiglist), the guy played this evil looking Jackson V on a church and that's where I met the guy and tested this axe. Then I won the auction for the Emg ZW combo on ebay with were cheap. Now planning to pimp it with a cool truss rod cover and install a tremol-no so I can drop tune with it. Washburn Shadow Series bass with Emg, I got this bass when I traded my first electric guitar a Washburn brand also, X10 series black strat. She was a really good player for a cheap guitar and sometimes I miss her but having 3 electrics was to much for me and bass is a different instrument so i guess it was worth it. My first guitar was a cheap beginner classical Memphis guitar (I will never sell it since I have an emotional connection with her :P), wasn't room for her on the sofa and its not RS enabled hehe Really nice axes around here guys, cant comment about all of them but I really like the silverburst les paul. @@AtreidesGhola both a Fender strat and a Gibson Les Paul, the best of both worlds. I have massive GAS for a maple fingerborad bass or guitar.
  10. @@Mutant John and @@sleepy Thanks for you're answers, they are very helpful, and I agree that bass is more locking into the groove and feel, not only playing the right notes at the right time. Will play Jamming again hehe, its all about the groove!!
  11. I don't know if this is the right place for my topic, if it isn't mods please move it. Since most of the CDLC songs have no DD and start at maximum difficulty its interesting to compare performance when you play both guitar and bass. I have been playing for 3 years and although I consider myself in a place between newbie and intermediate most people (including a couple of incredibly good guitar players) say that my achievements are awesome for someone that pick up the guitar really late since I'm 32 yo. I'm a perfectionist and I always think that I can do better or I'm not good enough yet, I know that its not the best mindset and its wrong but its just how I am. Some friends and my girlfriend think that I don't value my skills and I'm not aware of them because I see great virtuosos and famous players and I think that I still have a loooong, really long way to go to even come close. Maybe this kind of though is common between guitar players or musicians in general. I have been playing bass also for less than a year only thanks to RS since I didn't found bass fun to just play along, RS allowed me to play bass in a musical context and that's were the bass should be played, of course same thing with guitar but you can play guitar alone with no music and backing tracks and still will be fun, exciting and challenging. What caught my attention is that most of the bass arrangements I play I got 95% or more on the first try and with the Cldc guitar arrangements I'm not doing that good with some songs, mainly cause of fast leads or unknown chords. I'm having an average of 70, 80% more a less, depends on the song of course. Do you guys think that bass arrangements are easier than guitar ones? What is the opinion from the players that do both? Maybe I'm more bass material than guitar material, I love both, I play several hours a day and If I go out on weekends or whatever I cant go without my classical guitar, they say that I'm guitar obsessed haha
  12. Tremol-No, never heard of such a thing. I checked it out and it seems like a great solution to have. I have a guitar with floyd that's great for metal but I'm limited to E standard so I have a Les Paul to downtune, its an awesome guitar but it does not have the high output and heaviness of my Jackson with active Emgs.
  13. Dunlop Jazz 3 max grip, I thought they were to small at first but now its my pick of choice.
  14. I have given the Ernie Balls a try but I stick to the D Addarios .10. Ernies got marked where contact is made on the frets and they look less shiny to me, not bad at all but I like the D Addarios more. I also tried DR strings, standard ones and the Dimebag Darrel signatures. I noticed DRs once unwind on the 4th string which I did not like. The DR signature didn't hold tune well on my Jackson with floyd rose bridge. On my classical guitar I use mainly D Addario Pro Arte, but I was given a set of Augustine blue strings as a gift and they are really good to. On bass I just installed a set of DR fat bottoms marcus miller signatures, they are supposed to be one of the best bass strings out there from what I read in reviews. They sound really good against my first ever bass set from Gk argentinian made strings that they were crappy and the cheapest available since I was new to bass didn't care much.
  15. I would like to have Enter Sandman here also. I have seen a video on youtube where is played on RS 2012. Anoyone knows where to download it?
