  3. Update v2.4 (13/06/2014) - New categorization process to allow multiple time signatures. - New notation to define the ramp up models. - New configuration file (ddc_default.cfg) to allow the modification of internal parameters (category and subcategory maps, merging levels, linked diff.). - New parameter to specify the configuration file to use. - New checks and associated warnings about the categorization process. - New merging process to reduce the number of difficulty levels (separate from the DD generation step). - New view of difficulty levels in the log file for a better differentiation of the levels before and after the merging process. - Fixed bug : Adjacent levels of difficulty may be wrongly merged together.

  6. History You all knew that tabs used beats(BPM anchors -vertical white lines in eof) for sync chart with audio. You know where you can get this BPM values for the song(even EOF can do that, just click BPM - > Estimate BPM -> OK). But when you deal with floatingUn-staticVariable BPM you better bless god that in this song BPM changes won't be more than 4-5 times, cause you know Tool songs and there very creative drummer so we got this kind of issue. How to Solve it? Use this software with presets that I recommend and you'll get 98% accuracy on generating BPM map(aka Beat Map) NOTE: You will need EOF minimum r1271 (now its RC9 r1302 and its ok, DL new version guys) Plus better add Leading silence(about 2000ms = 2 seconds) before song to get smooth start. Download and install Sonic Visualizer for you platform(I know that better get Audacity, but it can't export .svl file) Get plugin named QM-vamp-plugin(Queen Mary university stuff) direct link to v1.7 and link to QM plugin page *For windows* To install plugins open %Program Files%Vamp Plugins Now unpack plugin data there, a-a-a-and done, its installed. Open Program (Sonic Visualizer). Load you audio. Go to Transform menu, select "Analysis by category>Time>Tempo>Tempo and beat tracker: Beats". *You can adjust the plugin parameters in the window that pops up if you want to experiment, otherwise just click OK and wait a minute.* If you played song and you don't satisfied by results - use another plugin preset. Go to Transform menu, select "Analysis by category>Time>Tempo>Tempo and beat tracker: Beats". Set this values: Beat tracking method: new Onset detection function Type: Broadband Energy Rise or Spectral Difference Adaptive whitening: unchecked(this will mess up your BPM-map) *You can set one channel in advanced settings to make detection more accurate)* You can export the beat positions to a file that EOF can import. To do so, make sure that layer is still in the foreground (it is the selected layer tab on the side of the program) and use "File>Export annotation layer" Choose a place to save the file. *your project folder would be a good place*. In EOF, while your project is open, use "File>Sonic Visualiser Import" and select the file you just exported from that program. *The beat map will be updated to reflect the information in the file, and you can undo the changes if they didn't turn out the way you like*. That is it, I think its very progressive way to get BPM map and its not taking so long, but if you know actual BPM and its static you can sync tab with couple anchors :) Thanks to Me(Alex360), Raynebc, QM university team, Sonic Visualizer team, all other good peoples.

  9. I figure this is about as good as it's gonna get for me this week. The 96.9% was my very first run, and somehow in spite of practicing for days I've managed to double my score while lowering my accuracy :'( I've got everything down except the fast part on the Ab string going from the 7th fret down to 2. I can do it perfectly at 95% speed, but every time I push it to 100% I start missing them left and right lol

  10. First - the most important thing - you must start thinking... There's no way to make CDLCs w/o it Then go read FAQ and this: http://customsforge.com/forum/58-help-tutorials/

  11. I have done guitars like this but most people use fabric. You can go to any craft store and get it and use MOJ POJ and then clear coat, sand (wet sand) and repeat....

  16. @@MilkmanDan Thanks again, that really has helped. I've managed to significantly improve my accuracy so far. The other song where it's a big problem is N.I.B; I've found that in that one I can play the entire song almost perfectly except for the intro, because the bends just come too fast. I've slowed it down now and have gotten better at the bends, but my problem is still the same as yours: I can't tell quickly enough if it's a full or half bend :(

  18. And i would like Ice cream ;) Seriously, first i can't find the CDLC on your profile so it means that you didn't make it yourself or didn't published it in the DB which mean that you might not have completely understand what i meant so i've edited my first message to be clearer. And a little please and a thanks would always be better, i'm doing this on my free time and to help you, not me.

  20. Great score attack score there -- you must have been really in the groove timing wise for the whole song! I use that hammer-on trick a lot when I find some bend that I have trouble reproducing. In "Welcome to the Jungle", my main problem with it is the speed -- I feel like I'm not fast enough to do it accurately at full speed. BUT, it also comes in handy when there is a bend really close to the nut where the string tension is high enough that it is hard to get enough flex to shift the desired amount. The other thing to keep in mind is that if it is supposed to be a half-step bend, you just hammer on to one fret away. For a full step, move two frets. In Rocksmith, I have trouble figuring out how much shift they want out of a bend visually, whereas in tab or sheet music format just tells you straight up if it is a half or full step (or more). So, on pretty much any song with bends, I play them on riff repeater slowed down the first time and use the hammer-on technique to see whether it registers as a hit with a half step or full step. Then I'll go back to doing it as an actual bend except in cases where that seems too hard or feels unnatural (like this song). Hope that helps -- that trick plus some riff repeater time improved my accuracy in the song by a solid 6% (so far). :) To get used to it, I'd riff repeat a section with those bends and slow it down to 55-60% or so. At that speed, I can do it accurately as a bend, but just practice it as hammers (and pull offs when it calls for returning to the original note like here) to get used to the rhythm. I went from 55% speed to 100% speed with the "accelerate" option on, and it immediately went from nearly impossible for me in the 90+ speed range to very doable.

  21. We discovered that each arrangement can refer to different audio source, so you able to use different multitracks for each arrangement, one thing is that we don't provide this ability in toolkit :)

  22. for the lyrics you can use ultrastar creator, upload the ogg file named guitar (in eof) paste the lyrics and synch them to the song (easy to do with ultrastar), then in eof position yourself in the vocals track and edit/import lyrics. if you did good in ultratsar, nothing else to do

  23. You know what? Last night, I was feeling lazy, so I figured I'd give DD a go in Learn A Song. I chose one of the songs that came with RS2014, the one from the Magic Wands (Black Magic?)... it's a fairly easy song. It took 19 run-throughs to bring it up (from 0) to 100% difficulty. Some parts level up more quickly than others -- I think the chord sections were leveled up after 5 or 6 run-throughs. Anyway, it was fun to do it this way, partly because I didn't have to do anything but hit the return key a couple of times. The Riff Repeater's more work! But it was only fun because the song itself is pretty simple. My rule of thumb would be : When you feel you can't adapt to the notes coming toward you on the screen, it's time to switch to the Riff Repeater and slow things down. Also, a last note: DD on the customs doesn't work properly for me in LAS -- customs always start on a higher difficulty level than they the official songs do (these always start off at the lowest setting). I don't know if this is true for everyone, it might just be the settings on my computer.

  24. Hey all, I was wondering if there is a way to do this, Im completely new at this sort of thing, and tried looking on FAQs and the search, and was unable to find anything. Basically, I have downloaded some of the cdlc tracks, but within Rocksmith some of the names appear in different orders alphabetically (ie. 'The Beatles' = T ; 'Beatles' = B ) based on how the author of the cdlc decided to organize them. Is there a way to go into the file, and alter it so that I can adjust it to make it easier to organize? Thanks
