Hello all, On a personal note I have my 25th birthday coming up April 1st (April Foolsday), and I just got a new job last week so my life has been busy. I have not however been forgetting about CF at all, we have active developers working on future versions of search. I'm proud to announce we almost have 2,300 CDLC's. I understand it's a bit expensive right now but once major development done we should be able to have everything under $200 a month (not including IP. Hi, folks. I'll be using this thread to maintain the latest versions of EOF in one place. To start, download and extract EOF 1.8RC12: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ih70h6p67iy77ka/eof1.8RC12.zip You can keep that zip file handy to avoid downloading it more than once. When I release a new hotfix, all you have to do is replace the files from the above zip file with the ones from the hotfix. The latest hotfix (9-26-2020) is here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/6xzg32k4a9gqwxs/eof_hotfix_%289-26-2020_4%29.zip/file *If you use a non QWERTY US English keyboard layout, and keyboard controls/shortcuts aren't working for you, please make a post describing what keyboard shortcuts aren't working, and what the Info panel says the "CODE" and "ASCII" values are after you use each of the keyboard controls in question. I can make Mac releases and will try to post one with each Windows release, but my ability to do so is sometimes limited. If I don't get around to releasing a Mac build you want, just remind me to do so. The latest Mac build (9-26-2020) is here: http://ignition.customsforge.com/eof/download/487 Unless you have oggenc and LAME installed (these don't come with the Mac build for licensing reasons), you won't be able to have EOF automatically convert from MP3 to OGG when you create a new chart. If you have trouble getting those set up on your system, here is a package that should get them installed and usable by EOF: http://www.t3-i.com/apps/eof/downloads/eof_utilities.pkg Please provide any and all feedback, including bugs and feature requests. If possible, also please review the included documentation (manual, tutorials) and let me know if you find any room for improvement there. Eventually I plan to add a Rocksmith authoring section to the pro guitar tutorial, but the community's knowledge of the Rocksmith songs' makeup changes pretty quickly so it's hard to know when particular features are considered fully known. For any features that ARE fully known (like anchors), please feel free to remind me if they aren't incorporated into EOF yet, in case I missed any information being passed around on this forum or the Google group. Note: If you are reporting a bug, please specify which hotfix (date) you're using. I release hotfixes on a somewhat random schedule, sometimes more than once per day, so the issue being reported may have been fixed in a release you haven't tried yet.

This one is definitely a work in progress but I wanted to get something posted so the feedback can start pouring in like a biblical flood. PC Download Rhythm track shows an X for me, but if you click on it, it is there. Tones currently suck Arrangements:Lead - This will eventually include all the overdubbed reverby fills and solos, maybe 25% done. Right now, the first solo is pretty much complete and the second is started but that's about it.Rhythm - This is the same as alternate rhythm but with the bass drone removed, so you can play with a pick.Alternate Rhythm - This is the bulk of the song. It's about 90% done. It has a droning bassline on the open A string, so unless you have some insane string muting skills, you have to fingerpick this. It's supposed to be the default rhythm track but I put it in the wrong spot.

10 isn't noticable better than 8 but produces files that are a lot bigger, so I wouldn't go higher (or lower) than 7 or 8.

I can think of worse things to accidentally purchase while blacked out. More booze is the most common.

This only matters if you're authoring multiple difficulties in EOF instead of using DDC, or if you leaving the difficulties named as they are by default and are authoring notes in the "BRE" difficulty, which won't export to XML. The reason for this is that when authoring charts for the Rock Band style of rhythm games, the "BRE" difficulty isn't used to author a playable difficulty, it's for notating things like drum fills and "Big Rock Endings" which is basically a bonus score button spam fest you can put at the end of songs. The act of removing the difficulty limit tells EOF that you are authoring for Rocksmith and not Rock Band so that difficulty can be treated like a regular track difficulty and have its notes exported.

I use the guts of dragons i slay to create bass strings that sound deeper than the halls of Valhalla and the hair of fair maidens i have shagged for my electric guitar strings (altho so far i can only manage 1 single string for a ukulele :oops:, i need to get more fit). But other than that Ernie Ball ;).

I have nothing nice to say, so this is me saying nothing ;)
