I remember Nightwish - She Is My Sin has a good guitar chart (I tested this and rated the difficulty quite a long time ago). It is a pity that this is a bonus for Lead and the bonus arrangements are not very popular. So I'm not much of a fan of them, except for some exceptional cases, e.g. the intermediate bass bonus is fine due to the low tuning.
I love them (and in fact I've already played that CLDC, because it was also one of the first songs we tried to play in our first band when we were late teens more than 20 years ago, but our drummer could not keep up ) and I'm a bit disappointed that is only a bonus but hey, La Camisa Negra is a great song to play (this also been a 2000s very popular song it was very well known to me) so great week for advanced at least! I need to listen to the other classes yet.

this was pure pain (picked)
need a lot more RR to go up, without having an increase in tension every loop

is it too late to suggest The Darkness - Get Your Hands Off My Woman as Bass Intermediate or Advanced Bonus track?
For me we can add it, do you have a rating?

I like them! I've never heard them before the competition, and maybe I prefer the first song, but they have a very distinctive sound
anyway Steel Panther (never listened before) is the great winner this week, hilarious 80s like song with those lyrics, I will play it a lot even if it's not in my league

New week is up!!

My first week!
Just one note: on bass I didn't change any submitter ratings, because I'm not so familiar with it (I don't even have a bass). I've checked the songs emulating the bass with the guitar and everything sounds fine, and from my limited experience I think bass ratings are absolutely plausible.

I wanted to give it a try, and then I recognized the song (title didn't tell me anything)
I confirm the slide recognition issues
-
nope, this song kills me with the mini chords. but I love it. May brilliant as usual
@ cacahuate51 in Billy Talent' song, did you have the second chord (Em6) of the main riff recognized properly? thx

@ avastreg ah okay! I mean to be honest for the "loyal" aspect/ nitty picky things i wrote earlier I probably should've just commented on the cdlc post instead of here. As the one who might do something on that topic is the cdlc maker. Overall, I agree its a great song and im glad you and rodman choose it for the competition.
Heck i even liked it so much I tried to do my own cdlc version but the version on here is definatley more suitable for the competition as its actually fcable. Meanwhile the version I have done i currently cant fc the guitars..not sure if its cause of eof skills, guitar skills, wacky recognition or a combination of all of those xD Still glad i gave it a shot though because I learnt a couple of interesting things (atleast for me)...like the song is in 3/4 and every phrase lasts 7 instead of an even number or that green day didnt use a click track because the bpm fluctuates a bit. and the solo kind of reminds me of the vocal melody to house of the rising sunPlease share it, I'd like to give a try!!

@ Rodman thanks for the extended explanation. I just want to align in terms of ratings so descriptions like these are very helpful
@ cacahuate51 yes I know the arrangement is not very loyal to the original version, I can also hear it when I'm playing, but I think this version (and it's the only one) fits very well for beginners to play an awesome song and they will be satisfied even without the details. If this song was advanced or mc, I would not propose it.
I like Billy Talent's songs, but in this one there's no way to get the E6 recognized (the second chord). Even with RR 50%, only rarely. I think there is some strange ringing in my guitar and because of that is not picked up. To my ears it sounds fine. On the contrary, the first chord is always recognized
Does it just happen only to me?

My ratings for my class songs:
Lead Path: Beginner: Green Day - Working Class Hero is 1.5-2, definitely not 3...
Rhythm Intermediate: R.E.M. - Man On The Moon are pretty much standard chords... i would not rate it 5.. maybe 4 or 4.5...
getting serious recognition issues... got 85% at 1st play when I thought it will be approx 95-98%... disaster... it soes not recognise the slide with C chord.
I gave 1.5 for lead Green Day, don't know why is 3, maybe @ Rodman do you assigned a 3?
Anyway these are my first song ratings so they can be totally screwed up or downAgree with @ coldrampage too on the too many pauses on the Queen song, but the actual guitar parts pay off incredibly well. Probably need to do a lot of RR and then do one or two complete runs

wow Working Class Hero, my first song picked!
The song is pretty simple (and a bit repetitive), but it's a powerful message.. you can literally feel the grudge and the bitterness.Great week, Billy Talent and Queen, love them, and also curious about Arch Enemy because I've never really listened to them.

@ avastreg and @ cacahuate51 are on a different skill level so I have no chance to compete with them, but I'm happy with this improvement.
You're very close, i bet that with some other tries you would get 98+ so good job!! I played that song like 12 times

and that's it for me
I tried to improve mc rhythm too but again a lot of recog problems so I'll leave it alone

Great tune, I really enjoyed it !
I would consider this song an intermediate song for both rhythm and lead though (i know im a bit late). Mostly cause its just a G C D song and thats like the first campfire/ fake guitaring progression seen in many songs( joker steve miller, la bamba, barbra ann beach house boys etc) . Int over beginner because of the embeleshments and the descending chord progression but nothing imo that would make it advanced. Regardless its still a great song that ill keep and play!
I generally agree, but I think that the little details are the difficult part and make it low advanced. And there are a lot of them.
For example the C shape with the pinky is not really obvious. The diminishing progression on the A chord seems simple but can be tricky. My opinion is based on my score: I played this a lot of times and can't reach 99%/100% yet (but I didn't RR it)
Usually for me with 3 plays intermediate are in 98+- 1
-
don't kwow why, maybe a different slightly downtuning, but this time it caught a lot more notes on arpeggios
- 2
-
pushing to armor my place on this one
(yeah I'm saying that is for the score but i'll play this song again and again I think.. something magical)
@ kayteck tried this to understand your question, do you mean octaves? my advice is to mute the second string from the top with the index finger on the lower string (like if you would do a barre but not pushing on the middle string)
in this particular case, because you have octaves on the 5th, you can also let the middle string ring because it the same note of the above 5th fret (works just only on these notes)
RS doesn't like my octave slides sometimes and it doesn't recognized them, but not always. My ears have an hard time to get the difference

@ Mikson for like 20 notes

I think I also had a bad note recognition on this CDLC. And not only in the arpeggios, but even the power chords registered worse than usual.
yes me too, but the one in the arpeggio is very "objective"

For me it's exactly the reverse, I've started with Tarja but stepped away when they changed (also because I've changed genres!)
Lately I'm listening to them with the various singers but yeah I think Tarja was what made them unique
