  1. another + 1 here too. I have another request if at all possible Pretty please the adverts below the pinned topics on every thread on the forums. i see the same adverts at the top of the page , then part way down below the pinned topic of the sub forums then again at the bottom of the page ..........., there really should be a way of disabling them even if only for donors (even timed a rank) without us having to use adblockers :)
  2. @@firekorn i was under the impression that since V2.7 the toolkit converts to .ogg via command line and so does not need to have WWISE installed, it is included in the extracted folder. I tested this a couple of days ago on a remake i have been working on. A cmd box pops up and converts the file from the wav files that are saved by EOF Edit I do not have wwise installed at the moment
  3. By the way you can avoid using WWISE altogether due to the fact it is included in the latest toolkit, so skip that step altogether :)
  4. Surely you miss out on updates or any improvements with a revision change, i know you get notifications but a while back there was issues in that they didn't always come through. I had the list sorted that way before but ended up missing loads of revision changes so swapped to the by update instead.
  5. I agree, there needs to be a checkbox to tick for when the charter has only changed a link to prevent the bumping of a cdlc
  6. All done :) it was not actually as bad as i thought it would be from reading the linked post :) Thanks once again
  7. yes thats the one , i found the locking grub screw to lock it into the rail , there is also another on the front i assumed it was on a cam system but apparently not. So from the info there is a hell of a lot of trial and error or extreme measurements to be taken and set. Thanks for the link King kobra it was most helpful :plus1:
  8. Well you know how it goes , browsing through ebay as you do when you come across a nice shiney cool looking bass. I checked out the reviews and what they cost new and placed my maximum bid . well i only went and got it for less than half what they cost new :) http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah142/Doug_N_Shaz_Brooks/ebhbbks_zpslnlgku6l.png So it arrived and have it in front of me but the intonation is a little off, I normally set up my own gear with no problem but i have never seen this kind of bridge (ABM) . http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah142/Doug_N_Shaz_Brooks/BB-3420-003-web_1024x1024_zpsi2udnwss.jpg any advice on how to adjust it would be very welcome. Thanks
  9. That is some badass playing I will give him that :)
  10. I believe you have replied to the wrong topic , 1301 you are refering to is csm (customsforge song manager) the link to which is still on the dedicated website and does still work as i have just checked it . the link can be found here clicky me
  11. That is indeed correct, did you let it run after it scanned the directory? it will scan it to find what you have in there then need to run again afterwards to do the repairs by pressing the highlighted button mentioned above.
  12. Are you using cdlc that you downloaded from here? (if not they may well be poorly made/not been updated in some time) tone bug etc Are you using the latest D3DX9_42 .DLL file grab it from here there is an app made to scan and repair cdlc that can be found here go to repairs tab check the ones i have checked in the screen shot then hit *run selected repair options as highlighted at the bottom. this will take it a while to do so sit back and grab a coffee or three dependant on how many you have and the speed of the drives http://i1379.photobucket.com/albums/ah142/Doug_N_Shaz_Brooks/song%20manager%20fix_zpsih9ymcfh.png
  13. Thanks for the hard work Mark. I just donated but it has gone onto the Months goal rather than the emergency one (only noticed after donating) please swap it over or use it as needed :)
  14. I have found that also when it comes to Eb tunings , my one cheapo bass (stagg) simply will not tune to it even when i lower the tuning slightly, So I too have various bass's tuned to different tunings as it is easier to just keep them that way. incidentally I pretune using my boss chromatic tuner tu-3 pedal it tunes fine
  15. You will need to use an external image host such as photobucket / imageshack or similar. I am pretty sure they are disabled here to reduce bandwidth cost's or server overheads ?
  16. A bug was recently discovered with Cloudflare, which many other websites use for DoS protection and other services. Do we use it here? if we do then we all change our passwords etc
  17. Rocksmith was the reason i picked up a guitar, I had never played an instrument before in my life ; to be honest i never thought i would be able to as i broke my wedding ring finger years ago and it has never set properly, as a result i cant close it fully so stretching it actually hurts at times so i don't push it. I know i will never be anywhere near as good as i would like to be as i started too late and i have a shockingly bad short term memory ha ha. But you know what? I enjoy it when i nail a song (even if its an easy one to any one else) I am 43 years young lol (did you see what i did there?) so i know i left it late to start. I know i have improved last year , this year not so much with the stress of my wife's cancer ops she has had to endure. but now that the last lot is done and she is on the mend again i can put some more time back into it again :) One of the greatest things i find about rocksmith is the community right here! with all the new artist's i am discovering that i have never heard off and the totally awesome guys and gals here willing to help out. Do yourself a favor and record some videos to help yourself reflect on how far you have come , that is what i do. When i doubt i pull up the oldest one and cringe then realize i am not that bad after all :)
  18. Bass is what I enjoy at the moment , it is more of a stretch for the fingers . But I find I feel the music more if you know what I mean. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
  19. Below the cdlc description you will see a report button as a last resort you can use that. But first try leaving a comment in the comment section for it. at best the OP (original poster) will see it and fix the link, alternatively someone that downloaded it may create a new link and post it.
  20. This seems to have resurface again for me today :(
  21. I was about to touch on the importance of stretching before playing too as that is a bit of an issue with myself too, not so much the pain but the over reaching chords with 40+ year old hands that until a couple of years ago had never picked up a guitar (a very amateur bass player) I get pain in my thumb muscle on my right hand too but that is just from pressing/planting my thumb on the pickup with too much pressure. i know i do it and its a bad habit i picked up. When i realize i am doing it i make myself relax and i am fine again. You will most likely like me are trying too hard and doing a bit of running before we are walking on some songs.
  22. You should also give the following a go Avantasia, 00mph, Shinedown, Skillet, Volbeat, 10 Years there are just so many cool bands out there at the moment both new and old. I am still in morning over Wayne Static RIP, I got into making them myself as i wanted to play more from them. If you fancy something different and not screechy give lake of tears a blast.
  23. A band called Pain , there is only one song on here by them unfortunately but it is a cracker, just gotten into them myself. i am at work at the moment so don't have access to my library. We seam to have similar taste to be honest :)
  24. I was using a programme called playclaw you can now get it on Steam , seems to do a pretty good job
  25. maybe the question should have been how many years have you been playing ?
