  1. If the slide doesn't have an end note defined (maybe that's why there is a question mark?) Click the note Press CTRL+UP (or down if you're sliding down) enter the end note for the lowest note in the chord.
  2. It looks like ghost notes. Click on the chord and press N. Untick all the Ghost note boxes.
  3. Yup, Unpack (also tick decode audio) using Custom Song Creator Toolkit Load up files into EOF ( ogg audio file and import guitararrangementname.xml ) Add sections by clicking beat marker and pressing SHIFT+S phrases are SHIFT+P Save and repack You lose tech notes when unpacking. There are video and pic tutorials on how to use the programs here: http://customsforge.com/topic/5577-tutorial-list/ If you get stuck just ask. Questions usually get answered pretty quickly.
  4. I saw the Los Angeles show. Didn't stay for meet and greet but I did see the keyboardist from Delain walking back to the tourbus. Wouldn't have gotten into them if not for this custom posted last year: http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/shattered-r2751
  5. That stuff at the end means there is a higher tolerance on the lower strings?
  6. Yeah more info here: http://customsforge.com/topic/12382-custom-game-toolkit-game-saves-gigbox/
  7. http://i.imgur.com/1nIfpYq.png There's a pattern of two chords that repeats itself a bunch of times. You can set the first three notes as a set of notes within a D minor handshape. Click the first three notes and press CTRL+SHIFT+H. Select the next three notes and press the same thing again. Do this throughout the rest of the verse. When you save EOF will ask you to define the new chordshapes so fill in the boxes. I'd remove the sustain on the notes within these handshapes. Letting the notes ring is implied.
  8. Good work, just played the rhythm arrangement. If you'd like feedback I'll say this: - Not all chords have the handshapes defined. EOF is probably giving you a warning about this when you save. One of them I remember was an open C chord with the 4th string omitted. This isn't in the built in chord library, so you'll have to define it yourself. Click the chord, press F and fill in the boxes. You may have to re-run the fret hand postion generator when you're done (SHIFT+CTRL+F) - I'd read this topic about sustains not touching http://customsforge.com/topic/15608-polishing-your-cdlc/. It's written regarding single notes, but It's nice to leave a little gap in between chord CHANGES too. Just look at some youtube videos of official songs and notice the gaps they leave, especially if you have to jump around on the fretboard. There doesn't seem to be a rule set in stone, so just go with what feels right when you play. - No need to feel concerned about the finger picking part, it sounded accurate (My first time hearing the song, but it seemed to fit in as I was playing). I'll suggest one thing to pretty it up; the handshape function in EOF. I'll put a pic in the next post of what you might like.
  9. You can lower it by going into Riff Repeater, select the whole song, and reduce difficulty to 0.

  11. Did you start out by creating a tempo map?
  12. In the above example linknext was not used, but whatever works. Placed first note Toggled crazy Increased length Turned off grid snap Places second note Increased length Pressed F4 to switch to tech mode Placed first bend tech note and defined bend strength Placed second bend tech note and defined bend strength
  13. This is what you're doing? http://i.imgur.com/vf3fyVN.png
  14. You have 2 single notes about a millisecond apart, and you'd like to lengthen them to have the duration of an eight note? Just making sure I'm on the same page. If you click a note and mouse scroll up (or press the [ ] keys) the note duration will extend. But it will stop once you hit another note. To extend it past the next note you have to toggle crazy mode. If the t key isn't working, maybe try this: -Make sure you are in normal (not tech) mode -Click the first of the two notes -In the menu bar click Note -Click Toggle Crazy You'll know if toggle crazy is selected because white box around the number will turn black. Is it black?
  15. click the first note and press T (toggle crazy) mouse scroll up to lengthen the notes
  16. Well, we can get started on 2014 in this topic then? I'll start with an easy one. EN 30 is the Vox AC 30.
  17. Just played the lead part. Congrats on your first custom. Pretty much everything I would suggest has already been said in the above post.
  18. I'll test the lead part after work today.
  19. Click on the note and press F. Enter the starting note (It has to start somewhere, right?). Mouse scroll up to extend the duration of the slide as much as you like. Press CTRL+ UP and enter the ending of the slide. or Press CTRL+SHIFT+U if you want the slide to be unpitched, meaning it kind of fades away onscreen, and you don't have to stop at that exact note.
