  1. Most of the above comments are done by charters, & it's not suposed to hurt anybody, doing custom is a long process (even with the amazing tools we got), if the charter is very experienced, skipping the test phase isn't a major problem (even if i personnaly don't agree). Testing the song makes you sure: There's no freeze/crash The guitar/bass & song volume match the others official customs There's no sync issues The song appears in the list with it's label ..... How could you spend hour(s) on polishing one custom & let this kind of problem happends ? While you just need 5 min to test a song you like ? As said by Teinashu, if you need a pause, (test the custom & publish it) later, it's not a race, it's a gift to the community. I don't said the customs have to be perfect, but the above points are easy to fix if you try your releases before publishing them.
  2. Just a question: i made a cdlc of "Blur-Beetlebum", and the bass chart needs some correction. I see that this song is an official rockband dlc, so i would try to use it to have the exact notes position. So where can i find this song: in the main post of this topic, in Bluzer's RB1 links if it's RB1 etc.. 10th song after the Judas Priest Screaming For Vengeance pack in RB1 DLCs. http://www.fretsonfire.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=56438&sid=719bfea044a6ec75412352e8a0e1be2c Disclaimer: Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976; Allowance is made for "fair use" for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. So Yes, you can use them, for the rest it's up to you, but DLCs doesn't work as standalone (like RS you need the original game to play them).Unless the track packs like AC/DC Live @ Donington etc..
  3. Someone who don't test his custom before publishing it, takes the risk to create inacurate or unsync or volume problems customs. It takes a lot of time to create a clean custom, publishing a "crap" one have a direct sentence: Someone else will do it better/fixed & you'll lost your invested time & give a bad opinion of your upcoming work. Testing our customs is the best& easiest way to enhance the overall quality, it just takes 10 minutes & you'll won't be desapointed by the awaited comments saying you're custom is unsync etc...
  4. You MAY have another custom with the same name.
  5. Try on the cheapest & as said above by MilkmanDan (i've already read that several times too) reserve heavy-gauge strings for low tunings only or you can damage your guitar.
  6. You can get a way better guitar for $400 than the Fretlight in terms of build quality. +1 (below comments gives the quality of the guitar as Very nice quality) After awhile, you won't really be looking at your fretboard anymore as you get better. +1 (Just play more on RS, "quickly" by ear you will ear when you're not on the good fret case).
  7. Gax 30 seems very good in (very) low tunings (considering the 10-46). I've got no problems with the neck & as it's an ibanez it's quite thin (I like that). Cheap guitars are great for trying & do it yourself settings etc.. I don't like the pickups (seems splitable though & their high output seems to help note detection). Pickup investments are never lost as it can always be mounted in another guitar. She is "recommended" for beginners guitarist (just google it) for it's quality/cost ratio. I don' like the body shape, too fat bottom & too flat body (but i've save it from destruction so it cost me 0$). I've just buy 12-54 strings for (very) low tunings, not installed yet. --------------------------------------------------------------- The pickups are splitable, there's 4 cables on each Hambuckers. I've equiped it with 12-54 strings for low tunings usage only. The rise of the hambuckers highly influence the tone, closer to the strings = more distorsion.
  8. I guess if we could use the "bug*" who hide the songs when there's twice the same name/song title to hide them. *It's probably not a bug but a solution to avoid crash. If someone can try & let us know if it's working.
  9. How to Make Your Nice in Real Wood Custom Pickguard & Truss Rod/pots/switch Covers, according to your taste & Guitar Color Style, Almost for nothing ? Here's the sample of the Color & Wood type you could found: http://www.grandriverflooring.ca/flooring-samples/hickory Society who install Hardwood Flooring, always have some "little" cutted parts of the wood useless for them after every installation, just kindly ask. Gibson Style Bell Shaped Truss Rod Cover - 'Les Paul' Oak: http://s16.postimg.org/9eyclxvbp/IMG_0172.jpg In real it looks better Tru-oil finished & polished. I've photoshoped the LP headstock logo as i wanted a very thin font. It's not a decal, it's direct printed on wood (with the help of a printer cd tray). how to: Once you've got your wood Cut your piece larger than your Pickguard or Truss Rod Cover). cut it by half (to make it thinner), sandpaper (on a table, the floor or a flat surface) the invisible side to make it flat. Cut* at the shape of your old plastic Pickguard & Truss Rod Cover tracing on the wood with the old as model (or make a different one). *I've use a dremel with the little sanding drum & a very little flat files around the screw & the 2 ears. Finish by hand sanding (this will bevel the external shape). Now you've got a very nice Pickguard & Truss Rod Cover for nothing & scratch resistant as most of them are factory treated with one kind of very resistant & invisible resin. Won't work for Large Pickguards without gluing 2 pieces (such as Stratocaster). Could also be a good support for real inlay practicing.
  10. Under windows sort the songs by list & date, move to a temporary folder all the songs with a date posterior of your problem (Be large remove everything before October in your case), launch the game & see if there's a difference, if it's working just add 2 or 3 customs until you found the culpit. You can check & may fix with this topic too: http://customsforge.com/topic/4863-list-of-crashers-jammers-dead-toners-and-misc-problems/
  11. See Alex360's comment below, Thanks. Updated Main post with cozy's work.
  12. The Delain looks nice, marker isn't on 12th fret (may be wanted though).
  13. I've Just Seen Recently the 24 frets option in The Toolkit. So i've not work on it yet, i'll have to see if it's stretched or fully implemented. I've keep all the PSD files Though.
  14. Did you notice the order of the colors though the Prism compared to RS Strings Colors ? (U2 & Pink Floyd are not planned sorry).
  15. You're welcome Bents & Karmeleaux, your nexts songs will even go quicker to chart, the more you'll chart, faster the process will be... :D Don't forget to thank the original Charter's Threat Too, they did all the Hard Part For Us & They allow us to Use they Hard Work (Some Charters Spend a lot of time to provide the best Possible Result). & Thanks To Raynebc Who allow Cross Musical Games Compatibility with EOF.
  16. I'll wait for RS2018, when they will implement 2 necks guitars & Drums Support.. (Wich will requires to re-buy all the song to be compatible/have Drums Part of course !) The Audience will seems to be in front of you & there will be real interraction with the song's speed & events. They'll throw vegetables when you'll suck and *** when you'll rock. RS2020 will have some Guns N' Roses Songs on it & advanced tutorials (Play with your tooth & how to burn your guitar on stage (but not all the audiance with it). Return to Castle Chordead will be replaced by Doom 3 & will keep the same game mechanics (shoot with Chords) & Doom 3 Engine of course. You'll earn real Money (via Bitcoins) instead Of Points. RS2022 Will bring Support For keyboard piano, will be the worst of the Series & lead it to extinction..
  17. @StevenH yes, try to change the ID to the one you're using, Also you have to create a directory named inlays in order to keep them separated from the Songs (They could have the same nme etc..)There's one alternative way to create Inlays with Toolkit see the 2 Below links. @@mrctll Here's the .cgm import it & try to resave it for mac (if available (I can't try it for now). http://www36.zippyshare.com/v/87042271/file.html http://customsforge.com/topic/1799-custom-inlays/?hl=inlays https://sites.google.com/site/cozy1cgi/ @@Sharkman828 try with someone else's custom inlay to know if it's a problem wich comes from your inlay (if it's the case recompiling it may fix the issue).
  18. Rocksmith 2014 Intro Themes & More.... : http://customsforge.com/topic/12396-rocksmith-2014-intro-themes-more/
  19. You Have to Use .PNG Format with Transparency. Or create the .dds with one alpha Channel Where Levels of grey Gives you the transparency White: 100% Visible, Black: 100% Transparent & Grey: 50% Transparent The More Dark, The More Transparent. I've Not Made any other advanced Mods Tutorials (Wich Requires Games Files Modificatiions) Yet.
  20. Did you try with Cozy1 or Baoulettes Soft ? Be sure to select the right Platform When Generating Inlays.
  21. I Think It Depends Of Your Pickups, Saturated Hambuckers will sound less Good on RS, because the Saturated Sound will be used as default (Instead of a clean sound) & RS Will Add All Effects on top of it, Resulting on an altered Sound. RS Have a very good sound Quality though, if you use a Good Home Cinema/HI-FI Amp & Speakers.
