  1. Cables for all platforms are the same. I use both a pc cable and a ps3 cable for multiplayer on the pc. They are exactly the same, so much so that I now do not know which is which :D
  2. You can get it here https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/p/pantera/the_great_southern_trendkill_ver4_guitar_pro.htm or here is a GP5 export of it (EoF needs GP5 or earlier) https://www.sendspace.com/file/7mh942 I have to say man, this is one complicated song. I've made 300 customs and this would make me scratch my head at how to get some of the techniques into the game. Real mind boggling stuff. Good luck :D
  3. http://customsforge.com/topic/2027-tone-creation-process-for-rocksmith-2014/ http://customsforge.com/topic/9316-making-customs-with-auto-changing-tones/
  4. What GP file did you use? If it's the 38KB .gp3 from UG then it's 3 star for a reason (it looks a bit of a mess tbh). I can't view the .gpx version just now (on wrong pc) but usually someone just takes an existing .gp3 or .gp5 and "converts" it to .gpx Sometimes, you do get a real nice .gpx though so I will have a look later. Anyway, all of the other GP files of the song on UG have alternating tempos (124 sometimes, and 224 others) whereas the one I think you are using does not. This may account for the difficulties you describe in the other thread about your problems on this song. Also, different GP files describe different tuning. So that will also be a problem when you get that far... which tuning is it??? Probably C# Standard (A438) You did pick a belter for your first custom. The maxed out audio graph certainly won't help and I would not consider the available GP files to be anywhere near high quality. A lot (I mean a LOT) of troubleshooting would be required to turn that into a nicely working custom. The .gpx may well be miles better though. Did you mention you had Tux Guitar? I think that can convert .gpx to .gp5 (EoF needs .gp5 or older). Maybe give that a crack.
  5. Post screen shots or just upload your project files. Screen shots would help tremendously in helping you. Shots of the beginning of the GP file and the beginning of the EoF project. Too many notes per beat usually means the wrong time signature. When importing the GP file select the option for EoF to use the time signature of the GP file. To answer your initial question, editing GP files takes far less time that copy/pasting notes about in EoF. If you have GP5 then load up the file, copy and paste everything you want onto 1 "lane", then import that lane to EoF.
  6. You have to own Cherub Rock, not just download it.
  7. Outside of the game, do you get the little sound Windows makes when you stick in a USB device "da-ding"? I'd be making sure Windows knows you're Real Tone Cable is connected and recognized before worrying about faults in the game. When the cable is connected it should show up in Recording Devices (right mouse click the little speaker in the bottom right corner of your desktop and select Recording Devices). Confirm Windows sees it before going any further. Maybe the break out part of the cable has become disconnected? Make sure the 2 parts of the cable are stuck together properly. If Windows sees the cable and the game still says no, you could try making sure Audio Exclusivity is "On" in the game options. You need to restart the game after you play with this setting though.
  8. Try a different USB port. Not the port right next to the one you curently use, like on the other side of the pc. Plug the cable in when your pc is on the desktop (like NOT IN GAME) and make sure it says "Drivers installed successfully". Now boot up the game and enjoy :D
  9. I love Stone Roses and while (my version of) Good Times is one of my all time fav guitar tracks to play, I really find the rest of their stuff to be not very much fun in RS (including the official songs I bought). Also, my custom of The Seahorses "Blinded By The Sun" is a fantastic guitar track. My time playing Rocksmith and making customs has been an eye opener. Music you love to listen to is not necessarily fun to actually play, and some stuff I would not normally choose to listen to is absolutely rocking to play. I think it's more fun in Rocksmtih to play songs that are basically power chords, solo, power chords. Jingly jangly stuff like the Smiths is really difficult to make sound nice in Rocksmith and score at the same time. In my opinion anyway. One of the biggest recommendations I can make is my Blaze customs. I've never listened to Maiden by choice (Blaze was on of the singers then went off on his own) and I would never have listened to Blaze by choice in real life, but after I tried one of their customs I was hooked and basically made two albums worth of songs. Although I love playing all of their stuff, one of my favs is Tearing Yourself Apart - it just sounds glorious in Rocksmith. I would also recommend getting to know the names of the charters of the songs you play. You can then filter the database by charter. I think you will find in the long run that you prefer high quality customs over any other criteria (musical taste etc), and there are loads of great charters about that will cater for anything you want really. Some other recommendations - Download the toolkit and you can add DD to (almost) any custom, even if it does not come with DD originally - Don't presume every custom will be perfect, far from it. Some are not synced properly at all - Set up a bank of your fav tones in 2, 3, 4. If a custom does not have a tone you like, just apply your own tone and have fun - You gotta try my "Gilmour's Greatest Solos" custom. There are many other epic customs (like the full Les Mis), and you will get a taste of the possibilities of customs - they certainly ain't restricted to "one song per custom" Enjoy :D
  10. Glad my entries fit into your rules :D Although, I almost choked on my baguette when I seen you listed On The Way as Intermediate
  11. It works for me. Time Stretch on or off, on any of the %age settings. Win7. Just out of interest :D
  12. Well I've given you a hit. If it's device based (not ip address based) I'll certainly throw you some more. Nice one Daikano, you're always trying new things :D The only thing the video is missing... you on a cliff in that long coat and hat playing a big solo while on a helicopter sweep shot
  13. TBH it would take me ages to get around to it, I got a little jelous and opened my big mouth :D I'll struggle to find time to work on this, bash on man :D
  14. Since you mentioned Too Young I have been putting some thought into updating it myself. It was an early custom of mine and I am sure the tempo map could be imporved, but my intention would be to update a whole lot more than the tempo map. Gimme a few days, I can make it beautiful :D
  15. I thought that the quick save function eliminates all warnings? Can this not be used instead of eliminating other warnings or making matters more complex with extra settings? I'm not trying to be anal and I bearly read the warnings from EoF I just get used to (on a per project basis) the order in which they come up - it's kinda rhythmic tbh. It has saved my ass countless times when either a warning I was expecting does not appear, or a new warning does appear - I have a think about why its has appeared or went away, then amend anything I have changed by mistake or have not changed. It's pointless trying to type out all possible examples but for the sake of argument I will produce 1 I have went through my newly imported GP and eliminated all the slides with no end position. EoF warnes me about a slide with no end position. I think "crap I missed one". Whereas I have come across songs where its impossible not to cross a boundary with sustain or a phrase boundary with an arpeggio, it does not happen that often tbh. And the warning is a reminder to look out for possible glitches in game. Trouble shooting why there's a gfx glitch or missing notes in your DD is far easier if EoF has been warning you that you crossed boundaries. I don;t like crossing section boundaries at all, and most songs I have no intention of making DD. But, someone else might and it reduces the chances of glitched charts and/or hanging customs (omg I'm so old - hanging customs is so 2014  ) I know it's user preference and most EoF users will probably not want all warnings all the time, I'm just fighting the case for what I see as very minor inconvenience that can actually be extremely helpful and a great time saver in the long run. And, if I've just invested an hour or more of my life into making a chart look nice, I damn well appreciate a robust saving system. If I've just popped in to change a note or two I still appreciate a robust saving system :D
  16. Regarding slides >22 https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2oZs0ta32KyczBOcEgyVWtGc1U/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2oZs0ta32Kyd05PLXIwMjQ3UmM/view?usp=sharing I dunno if any combination crashes the game, I've never had trouble. I guess EoF knows if you are trying to slide over the set fret limit e.g. 17 then you really need to set the fret limit higher anyway. Or EoF sets the fret limit from the GP import? I don't mind all the warnings, they are very handy for when you make a boo boo. I'd rather catch it when it happens than trouble shoot later.
  17. Jamiroquai - Too Young to Die is mine, you say A446? I'll give that a try soon too, thanks :D
  18. Well thanks, Crazy status worked a treat. I know what I did. There were actually string muted A0s between the C#m and the first muted F# chord in my test builds, but I removed them. The open string would have "reset" auto handshape generation in my test builds. I knew it would be my fault
  19. @@firekorn thanks I'll give it a try :D @@iminashi sorry for not believing you :D
  20. I'll wait and see what raynebc thinks. I thought this issue was addressed previously, and in all honesty I'm fully expecting me to be at fault :D
  21. No, I wanted them where they are. I am confused because it worked fine through like 3 test builds, then I accented the last C#m and it done that. I took off the accent and it still does it. I can't think of anything else I did that would cause it. Thanks for the input though :D
  22. Hi, this came up again https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2oZs0ta32KyU2FNbjFoTHFzUjA/view?usp=sharing I believe it must be because the chord is accented. The exact same chart without accent staus on that C#m does not produce it. Thanks :D Edit - scratch that, I took out accents and it still does it https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2oZs0ta32KyZk1nTFdSdFdfd1k/view?usp=sharing https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2oZs0ta32KydXk3THRScjlzdE0/view?usp=sharing I can't understand it, I had earlier test versions that did not do this. What are the rules on it again? I am using straight RC11 (no hotfix, sorry I will get around to it) and there is no handshape sustain on the C#m in EoF. Cheers :D
  23. Aludog's acoustic tone from hie America custom is my fav "acoustic" tone, but like @@manchot66 says it's hard to find one in Rocksmith. Sometimes I think a clean "electric" tone does a better job than struggling with the acoustic pedal in RS.
  24. James, why don't you just use extra bass arrangements to add DD and non DD to the same custom/download? Lots of people do that already.
  25. I'll organise the resources today and make thread. Then people can decide which songs they like or are willing to work on. TBH I haven't synced all the songs so I don't know how bad the bass is in a few of them yet. There are at least 2 needing the bass emergency room though, and one needing some light embellishments added. And, to everyone, c**t is an endearing word in Scotland - I was just trying to be friendly
