  1. +1 Took the words out of my mouth, a separate tab for .wem conversion would be sweeeeeeet :D
  2. And so he should be arrested, handing out karaoke versions of Kylie Minogue, Carly Rae Jepsen and that fkn Frozen song :D
  3. Are you sure the fault lies with your cdlcs? Someone once accused my Wish You Were Here custom of making their profile crash. Even though it had 3500+ downloads and no previous complaints. Go figure...
  4. I'm not 100% so don't shoot me... In EoF you have them as Shift + X mutes, try them as Ctrl + X mutes. Might not have the completely desired effect, but it'll look a lot nicer for a lot less work than manually editing XMLs. Or, dare I say it, load up an old EoF and save the project using that (ssshhhhhhh!!!!)
  5. Well there is an easy way... use the option Correct Video Lag. You will find it in options somewhere. Can't remember exactly what its called , but it gives you a ping to set the tv lag to, so you get the notes coming down when you want them. The other type of lag is the delay between hitting your strings and hearing the noise it makes. I'd suggest having Audio Exclusivity switched on and having auto latency enabled. You can't mix and match cables, pick up a cheap RS cable on Amazon, Ebay, Gumtree, Craig's List for multiplayer.
  6. Yeah the latest one just says "Windows", all the others have long codes. The latest one does also says it's a test build though, so can't complain too much :D
  7. I hate to say this... but try an older Toolkit. (*now hides to avoid Alex360*) I was going to try the new Toolkit last night, but I seen the auto conversion to .wem was "forced" as oppossed to a choice (presumably the logic is if it finds a .wem no conversion takes place? You never can tell with the dodgy English instructions :D ) so I just used an older one. I had 3 customs with 9 arrangements to test, I couldn't be bothered dealing with toolkit issues. I'll try the new toolkit eventually.
  8. Think they are on the wrong string. You have bass parts on a guitar setup (6 strings). When in EoF press Ctrl + A (to highlight all notes) then Up Arrow twice, so the gems are sitting on the top 4 strings. Good luck :D
  9. You fucked something in EoF, I dunno what but you have managed a unique break. So well done on that :D How to fix: - Open your EoF project - In Beat menu open All Events - Delete them all one by one (highlight the top one then keep hitting delete, it takes like 15 seconds) - Save project (trust me) - Make new sections (see my instructions below) - Save EoF project and exit - Open toolkit with your saved template - Remove ALL arrangements (this can lead to some tone issues ask another question here if you make wrong tones) - Change DLCName (top left of tookit), make it MyCustom2 instead of MyCustom1 - Add arrangments again (check thoses tones) - Build - Enjoy - Release When making sections what I do (there are a million ways that work, this is how I personally do it) - Two white lines before the first gem (the coloured thing that makes notes in the game) I make section (press Shift + S) Intro - Then I look for when the first notes in the arrangement which comes in last (usually bass) occur. I make Verse1 on the first note of that arrangement. - Then make Verse2, Verse3, ..., VerseN according to what you want - Then the last section is Outro. This MUST have notes in it, from ALL arrangements, so I usually make Outro come 4 white lines before the last arrangement runs out of notes. Well that took longer to type than I thought, but I'd started so... And it is my personal opinion, there are other ways to do it, other magna's don't be giving me shit. Help the guy :D
  10. Could be a million things, need to narrow it down. Screen shot of your EoF project would help, at the start of the bass track so we can see the tuning. And I don't understand why you say "change them both". What part is there other than a bass part?
  11. Make screenshot of problem please, so we can help.
  12. Presumably it will be black screens in the video window of Bandfuse, I doubt many conversions will have the hours spent on them to have the proper music video present and synced. I am more interested in porting pro Bandfuse charts to Rocksmith :D
  13. So this means we can import existing Bandfuse charts and then create Rocksmith charts? Where do we get Bandfuse charts?
  14. You sound like you know what you're talking about grisley, why no customs posted :( Your GP6 method for pick scrapes sounds like what they were talking about about (basically an unpitched slide with a tap or mute on the origin). I am more interested in this slide ins/out you speak of. You can't do a slide-in in Rocksmith because it needs an origin note. Ideally we could do an unpitched slide up to the resolution, but thats just not possible. The method you describe I have actually used, and I stopped because I think it just makes the chart look more complicated than it has to be. It's fine for me, because I know what I did and I know the chart/tabs, but for someone playing the chart it simply does not make sense. You really need the resolution note identified to know finger placement to be used. I tend to, now, use a normal slide up to the resolution from a origin which makes sense i.e. in the same scale or even just the old 2 fret difference. I'd be interested to hear thoughts on this (from all) as the chart I am doing now has tonnes of slide ins (including a lot form open strings). Best way to do slide ins?
  15. Finally finished Psychotic Girl http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/psychotic-girl-r12871 Fkn tabs doing my head in. I cut out a lot so it sounds nice in Rocksmith, and I added a few bits from the GP file (live rhythm) so you wouldn't fall asleep. Solo has its own tuning so I wasn't making a separate track just for that, I merged it as best as I could. I made bass easy, as I think it sounds better this way and I really wanted to make this song for 2 player with my mate, who loves this song and is great on bass but crap on Rocksmith charts. If you wanna play the original GP bass then check out Bonus Bass. Enjoy :D
  16. All links are not broken, you just need to use the link in his sig. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4vmx0n5dnrlnacf/AADpMxYzJIDSmuFroGa4d7UFa?dl=0
  17. Unplug it from your pc and plug it back in. When the game is NOT running. No, I'm not being stupid, sometimes you need to do that to kick USB drivers back into life. You could also try it in a different USB port (not the one right next to the one you use, one far away), which may reinstall the drivers "Your device is ready to use" and kick it into life. Also, make sure the breakout section of the cable is not loose.
  18. Wow what a community :D Just to let readers know I have had a couple of great offers and we should be putting a great big smile on people's faces soon :D
  19. Sections are the bars at the top of the screen when the song is playing, what you use in riff repeater. It is possible to make a custom that has no (well technically 1) sections. When this happens the game does not count how many times you have played that song, I don't know why. You can edit/add sections to the custom yourself, however, and reading this would be a good start http://customsforge.com/topic/17131-how-can-i-edit-songs-to-split-up-more-in-rift-repeater/
  20. I use Bandicam myself (desktop pc), but I have heard great things about Open Broadcaster software and I know it is what Kailjin uses to capture all his vids. Its basically webcam software but it can record videos too, and is extremely light on the system. There's actually a thread on it http://customsforge.com/topic/12266-open-broadcaster-software-guide/?hl=open+broadcaster Enjoy :D
  21. Hi, I'm trying to do a song that I've wanted to do forever (I'm not naming it, don't wanna spoil it). It's a real guitar classic but it has not been done yet... because there are no tabs about. I went and bought official tabs from MySongBook and printed them off (simply can't get MySongBook tabs unlocked and useable). I've been trying to input the tabs manually to EoF but its driving me demented. I've taken about 3 hours to get 12 bars done. There's 100 bars overall and pretty random soloing. Anyway, the tabs are spot on for guitar and bass but I don't know if I'm gonna finish this as it's going to take me forever. I was hoping that a nice person with GP experience would tab them into GP for me? I've printed them to XPS files so if someone wants to do it then PM me. I could possibly make PDF if it comes to it. I'm not trying to be cheeky, everyone has their thing. Mine is making customs from existing GP files, other people actually like making GP files... Thought I would ask, cheers!
  22. Read a couple of topics, didn't find mention of these. Like the new setup, liked the ols one but... :D Some things I noticed - How do you view records (so I can edits my records)? Edit - Hit view record doh - How do you view play vids (the secondary video links in records)? Edit - hit view record... maybe a better way? I like people seeing the play vids so they know what they are getting - When you look at something (dunno what the term is yet, the rectagular box with the info on songs and the download button) and press play to "hear it" (enable the primary video), the video does not stop when you hit the X to exit. You can also open more and plat more videos and the 2 video play simultaneously. I would imagine 3 or 4 or 5 vids will play together if I kept going. Edit - play button does need ironed out. I see it does pause too but pressing pause also makes the box jump out Good luck tweaking the bugs out :D
  23. Read here https://ddcreator.wordpress.com/dynamic-difficulty-creator/add-difficulty-levels-in-an-existing-package/ and here http://customsforge.com/topic/2863-dynamic-difficulty-creator/page-3
  24. Also, you must own Cherub Rock, not just have it downloaded. Buy it from Steam.
