  1. Not sure, but you can always add the leading silence in Audacity if needed.
  2. I have noticed that with some songs. I have no solution for it though.
  3. Lately I've been either testing customs or playing non-stop play on rhythm track with all the E standard songs dumped in.
  4. It's a Frank Turner kind of afternoon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKkIysX2Bow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SVx2RuANAyk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nF3U_t3yjic
  5. Thanks for that. Never heard of these guys but they're great!
  6. You don't have to enter the note menu to change the fret. Place it with right click and hit control+the fret number.
  7. It really is that easy. You can split words into syllables by using a dash, like this: syll- a- ble It will look like "syllable" in-game but the syllables will highlight individually as they're sung. The mouse wheel increases and decreases the length of the grey line at the bottom, which represnts how long the syllable is held. Select all the words that you want to be displayed in one line and hit control+m to group them. If they aren't grouped they won't be displayed. You can play the track and look in the 3d rendering window to make sure evrything is synced up right. That's pretty much it.
  8. Alternate tunings probably pre-date standard tuning for that matter.
  9. Usually the first thing to try is to regnerate the psarc file. Sometimes it just doesn't work.
  10. I know what you mean. I have the same problem with my Not Fade Away custom. I haven't decided how to handle it yet. There's an "ignore" function that will display a note but not count if you miss it. I think it would ignore the whole chord though. Maybe this situation would make a good case for a tech note ignore function. Start a thread in the EOF section and see what raynebc says. He's pretty open to adding things that will increase functionailty.
  11. I just checked out your custom and the slides look fine. The one in the solo that starts on the 10th fret of the g string and sustains a bit before it slides down to the 8th fret is where you would use linknext to connect the two. As for the rest of the custom: the sync is good, what few notes I was able to hit sounded good and it looks like it will be fun to play once I run it through riff repeater a billion times. Overall a success I think.
  12. Yeah, you're looking for early rock n roll and rockabilly kind of stuff. Check the link in my signature and try out the ones by Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran. Alex360 also did Chuck Berry's Johnny B Goode, which may be the epitome of what you're looking for.
  13. This I can help you with. If there's already a slide applied to the note, select it and hit control+shift+L and it will bring up a dialog box asking you for an end fret. The slide will start 1/3 of the way through the sustain I believe. If it's a complex slide then things get a little more...complex. EDIT: If the note sustains for a bit after the slide you have to put a second note at the fret that has been slid to after the first one, select the first note (with the slide), hit N to bring up the note menu and click the linknext box. That links te sustains of the 2 notes and makes the second note head invisible. I can post a screen shot if this description is too confusing.
  14. Do you mean rhythm & blues like Chuck Berry and Little Richard or R&B like Boyz 2 Men? I know there's at least 1 Chuck Berry song out there and I did some Buddy Holly.
  15. Sweet! I can take Last Train to Clarksville off of my to do list!
  16. Absolutely. I'm only creating customs for songs I want to learn. Accurate tabs help of course.
  17. My daughter's only 4 but I can sympathize with that guy. Anyone who messes with my little girl is going to be cleaning up a couple dozen eggs.
  18. Hound Dog Taylor and the Houserockers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOaBOIsmqIY
  19. If you find something that's out of sync, the first step should be to tell the person who made it so they can fix it for everyone. If they don't respond, then you might want to go ahead and fix it yourself.
  20. Thanks! I'll finish off a few things and post it up then.
  21. This is all way more involved than what I was imagining. I was thinking of something more along the lines of a classifieds section where you can hook up with collaborators. "Lonely charter ISO like-minded tonesmith for fun and customs. I like 50's rock, 60's pop, 70's punk and long walks on the beach."
