  1. Let's try and keep requests to the request thread. :ugeek:
  2. @@NotGuilty Most everything Metallica up to the Black Album and then including S&M is amazing but their best album is easily S&M. The symphony adds so much depth to their music that listening to it without them backing it just sounds flat. That being said, my list in no particular order: Bush - Sixteen Stone Nirvana - Nevermind Metallica - S&M (both discs) Dire Straits - On the Night Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet Pantera - Cowboys from Hell Rage Against the Machine - Self Titled Rise Against - Appeal to Reason I only picked albums I can listen to from beginning to end. If we go with portions of albums there are defiantly things that rank higher on the list. Pink Floyd's The Wall for instance. A lot of Hendrix, Five Finger Death Punch, and Eric Clapton, things like that. None of those make this list because I am not a fan of the entire album however.
  3. I think my signature says it all.
  4. We can't have people posting links to work that isn't theirs. Hopefully the original author will post this up.
  5. Do you play the $10 Walmart special or an original played by Paul Mccartney?? We want to see em and hear the stories behind them! This was my first guitar that I bought at a second hand store. It's very light and I like the way it feels. I use it mainly for Drop D and lower tunings. It's an Epihphone Special SG. http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g34/jshaw0705/IMG_0563_zps70c572b9.jpg I am 35 years old. As such when I was in high school every guitar player and lead singer that you dreamed of being played one of these. I had to have one! I understand that over the years they are pretty much all the same but that wasn't going to do it for me. I had to have an era correct one. I hunted and hunted and finally came across this heavily used, but plays perfect '99 MIM Fender Stratocaster. Found it on Craigslist and had the guy email me the serial number. As soon as I had it confirmed by Fender for year and such, I headed out to get it. 2 hours. I am thrilled to own it though! Totally worth the drive. http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g34/jshaw0705/IMG_0564_zps01d5e2ea.jpg
  6. There is no way to know who is working on what as it's all a volunteer basis. I think that is what you are getting at anyway. Unless you are saying someone has posted some of your customs. If that is the case, please let us know so we can look into it. Otherwise, thank you for your work with the content. :)
  7. Pretty much any song is playable that way. Some require more than others. Stuff I have heard my dad play over the years, or at least the riffs to that come to mind are, Summer of '69, Simple Man, quite a bit of Led Zeppelin, Stevie Ray Vaughn … All of those I know can be played acoustically and sound great.
  8. As the work was theirs to keep or delete on the outside hosted server, once it's gone, it's gone.
  9. What the site changed a lot of those lists got lost. They are still out there, we just don't have direct links to them. We would like to, but we didn't directly transfer the links over to this site for any CDLC so it was up to the authors to do that. Which it appears didn't happen. Sorry about that.
  10. I just tried to Arrogant Bastard for the first time this past weekend. If you like IPA I highly suggest you try it.
  11. Steam will not allow you to download the songs without owning RS1 which it won't let me purchase because I am on a mac instead of a PC. I have talked to steam about this and they stated it's working as intended. And the Star Spangled Banner is ava on RS1?? Damnit. That is actually one I haves gone looking for. I just saw this response. This is an interesting proposal however I agree with a few more posts down where it's stated that I have no interest in paying that much just to get them. Perhaps I will catch it on sale.
  12. At no point did we ever say that you can't create your own versions of work that is out there and not on this site. You are more than welcome to do so. We encourage you to do so. Not all charters are still out there and so there is no reason for those songs to never be created again. We just said that we don't intend to link to someone's work who hasn't given us permission to do so. (Notice I said "work" .. by "work" I mean their work charting said song. This is in no way intended to take away the creativity from the original artists)
  13. The suggestion has been made. As everything here is voluntary, including the massive amount of time the developers put into their work, it's difficult to demand they do something like that. We are making an attempt to make it easier for the end users to know which version they are downloading it. After you download it, if you need to change the file names to keep track of it, think of it as your part to help the development. :)
  14. What a great offer. I am sure people will take you up on that.
  15. A Klondike bar is a yummy ice cream treat here in the states. There were these crazy commercials for a while showcasing what people would do for a Klondike bar. They were very popular for a while. Can probably find some on youtube. That being said .. personally, not much. Up the stakes and we can talk :)
  16. It's not an issue. Every amount helps greatly!
  17. Sounds like there is a bug. I can see the topics but if you can't that's a problem. I will pass it onto our Dev team. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
  18. I would love to have this one also. On a mac we have no access to any of the 2012 songs which is crap .. that being said, due to legal restrictions we can not have links to any official DLC regardless of when it was created or what kind of access it has.
  19. Thanks Mhavok! The amount of work put in by the Development team in the last week has been astronomical.
  20. Posting links is find Drift. Yes, we lost the tutorials with the site move but they will be re-created. In the mean time Drift's suggestion of google is the best way to go. Also bear in mind that you have to own a single downloadable content (official) song. Most of the CDLC's you find are set to Cherub Rock by The Smashing Pumpkins. If you don't own that, you need to purchase that one song before they will show up. The CDLC's must be placed in the following folder: Steam/SteamApps/common/Rocksmith2014/dlc You then have to launch the application using RSInjector. That's the basics anyway.
  21. Never tried it but I would think that it would.
  22. Sweet. Thanks for the work Lenny! When you see what we have in store for the downloads section, which is about done but turned into a larger task than expected, you may forgo your project. Or keep adding to it and combine with ours, or something of the sort. :ugeek:
