  1. Ah sorry thought you meant the download link didn't work. Looks of it it's using the wrong AppID, you'd need to change it to "The Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock" using cfsm/rstoolkit for it to show up properly in-game or own the S.O.A.D - B.Y.O.B DLC that it's currently using. https://ignition4.customsforge.com/tools/CFSM
  2. Run this. https://ignition4.customsforge.com/tools/CDLCEnabler
  3. It works fine for me, but you might need to be logged into a google account for it to work properly.
  4. For mac you need to re-run the cdlc patch. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/33889-how-to-add-custom-songs-on-mac/&do=findComment&comment=371300 https://github.com/aik002/RSBypass If you get stuck the best place for support would probably be the #mac-os channel in the customsforge discord.
  5. There has to be an exe file somewhere overwise you wouldn't be able to run the game. Maybe you have a second, incomplete installation somewhere? If you open rocksmith, in task manager you can use the "open file location" option on rocksmith2014.exe and it will open the location in file explorer and automatically select the exe file. You can then select that folder path in cdlc enabler or put the dll file there.
  6. If you've put the new .dll file in yourself you shouldn't need to also use cdlc enabler, since it just installs it for you. If it isn't working make sure the .dll file is placed in the same folder as rocksmith2014.exe and that you have the latest file from here. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/901-how-to-use-custom-dlcs-in-rs2014-remastered/ You also need to select the Rocksmith2014 folder not the dlc folder for cdlc enabler to work to work.
  7. Unpacking songs serves no real purpose for using cdlc (other than letting you edit them) It'd prevent the game from loading them as it can only load the pacled p.psarc files not the unpacked song files/folders. If you only moved the unpacked song folders over nothing would show up. Try installing it somewhere other than program files, program files(x86), then you won't need admin privilege's to move/modify files. https://help.steampowered.com/en/faqs/view/4bd4-4528-6b2e-8327
  8. I hate to be a pain and update songs mid-week but did a few quick updates to bgm39 since it was one of my older songs. https://ignition4.customsforge.com/cdlc/50778 Added handshapes and proper chord fingerings so it's easier to sightread/learn and I've redone the sections so it's more forgiving in Score Attack (hopefully no more missing 2 notes and getting a strike). Note/sync wise it's the exact same so one shouldn't technically be "easier" than the old one.
  9. Seems a bit harder than I remember, sorry for the low rating on this. Oof Yea this is pretty fun, nice chord practice too.
  10. For songs to show up they have to be in the dlc folder of the game you are running, relative to the exe you are using and you need to own the dlc that they use the APPID of, nearly every song on this site uses the appid of cherub rock so you'll need a legitimate copy of that and for it to show up for custom songs to work. https://store.steampowered.com/app/248750/Rocksmith_2014__The_Smashing_Pumpkins___Cherub_Rock/ https://ignition4.customsforge.com/tools/CDLCEnabler https://github.com/Lovrom8/RSMods https://github.com/mdias/rs_asio
  11. If songs aren't showing up and they're all in the correct dlc folder it could be because on the redownloaded version of rocksmith you don't have the cherub rock dlc installed. Is it showing up in the song list, maybe just copying the dlc file in while steam is offline makes it think it's not enabled so it doesn't show up which prevents custom songs from showing up. Also downloading the old version of rocksmith isn't needed anymore, all the tools have been updated to work on the new version.
  12. These links used to go to the forum post for the record but they got changed into I4 record pages, these particular ones are a different format to the standard ones and can't be manually converted to I4 record page links to see if the original files still exist. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/66828-broken-discography-links/#comment-367220 Nearly every discography page is dead, just use the artist search feature in ignition. Here's the 2 versions of "radiant eclipse" https://ignition4.customsforge.com/cdlc/8269 https://ignition4.customsforge.com/cdlc/63395
  13. Looks like broken fhp but I could be wrong. Do you get this warning when saving? Ctrl + A to select all the notes then, note/rocksmith/generate fhp might fix it.

  15. The toolkit has nothing to do with playing custom songs, it's just used to make them. You need to run this instead. https://ignition4.customsforge.com/tools/CDLCEnabler
  16. The new update probably killed it, you'll either have to use the beta branch of rocksmith or make do without.
  17. The way every note has sustain is making my eyes bleed. Look at that overlap. It's a fairly old song and I guess you get used to it though. Anyway, score time. Instrumental metal, nice. If their other stuff is instrumental I might end up quite liking them.
  18. The amount of people that use custom songs on ps3 is fairly small so there aren't many guides but you just have to convert the pc files (p.psarc) to ps3 (_ps3.psarc.edat) using the toolkit and move them to "/dev_hdd0/game/BLUS31182/USRDIR/DLC" using an ftp client. Also apparently the file path "BLUS *****" , the number can change depending on if it's the USA or Europe version. Unlike PC/Mac you don't need to worry about owning and official dlc and having all the custom songs use that same ID, they should just work assuming they converted properly and are in the right place. This is just what I've been able to read from my time here, I don't have a modded ps3 and can't test this myself though. https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/10994-install-cdlc-to-you-ps3/ https://customsforge.com/index.php?/topic/901-how-to-use-custom-dlcs-in-rs2014-remastered/
  19. You need to run this. CFSM doesn't allow you to play cdlc it just manages the files. https://ignition4.customsforge.com/tools/CDLCEnabler
  20. Have you tried this one? https://ignition4.customsforge.com/tools/CFSM
  21. I know barely any theory and figured all this out by banging my head against the proverbial wall, keep at it you'll get there eventually. You can either use trial and error, or count how long the note should be (this is easier for stuff like straight 8th/16th notes). GP8 can load in an audio file so you can directly compare the note lengths/timing values and adjust from there. I usually do this in eof by importing the tab though as I find the beatmap an easier visual reference. If the sync is off even the correct lengths will sound wrong though so it's a bit of a double edged sword, you really need to get the start offset and the bpm correct from the get go. If a note needs to be slightly longer/shorter but the next note duration is too long, try using dotted notes, triplets or tied notes (can all be accessed through the note status screen). Rests are also fairly important for getting the durations right and for things to line up properly. Unfortunately I can't give any really useful advice on this as it's just something you kinda need to figure out and get used to, but if you want something to get you started send the tab over and I can give it a check for ya.
  22. If you can't play cdlc you'll need to run this to stop them from freezing the game. Cherub rock is needed for them to show up in the first place. https://ignition4.customsforge.com/tools/CDLCEnabler You can view a list of all your downloaded songs here but you'll have to download them one by one. https://ignition4.customsforge.com/user/collectedcdlc
  23. If they were temporarily saved they'd probably be in "Documents\CFSM", if not then they're probably gone for good.
  24. Good week for mc rhythm/bass, some pretty fun stuff. Might need to give this a few more goes. The metals.
  25. There's a bug with the latest eof release, it doesn't seem to import sections from rocksmith xml files. A workaround is to either use Iminashi's build of eof (pinned in the #alpha channel of the cf discord) or use dlc builder with the "create eof project" and "remove DD" import option which makes editing pre-made songs a breeze. You should also probably remove DD from the xml before importing it into eof to make sure the tookit re-generates it properly when you build the file and to make sure it's been removed properly. If the song is disappearing when you press enter on it might be a duplicate key/ID issue. Delete the old version of the song from the dlc folder and try again.
