Lead
I've heard this song on the radio many times, but I've never played it on Rocksmith until now. Fun song!
I once wanted to add this song to the suggestion list and didn't, but I saved a screenshot, so it's a very old screenshot.
I'm hearing this for the first time, interesting song. Not too difficult apart from the solo.
This is my suggestion, so also an old screenshot. I haven't played this in a while, but this is one of the better Aerosmith songs for me.

Havent really listened to aerosmith much but i liked the bass! fun song to play will keep it. For me its rated a bit high...i would put it in high int or low advanced.
We already know that bass charts are often rated too highly for you. On the other hand, when I recently tested some of your suggestions for bass-only songs, I almost always thought that the diff rating was too low. One you even qualified as beginner when it was advanced. You have to take into account that bass charts are usually less complicated than guitar charts, so we take a more gentle approach to assessing their difficulty, otherwise it would be difficult to create a weekly songs selection for the championship.

I can finally post these scores. I played lead for the first time over a month ago, but I lost screenshot, so today I played again and it was good because I managed to achieve 90%. Epic composition!

Here is a link to the Aerosmith song: https://ignition4.customsforge.com/cdlc/41353
There is a valid link in the spreadsheet, so it looks like @ Hughmonty apparently entered the data by hand and not using a script.

Actually this week offers a good example about ratings for me. The Hives-Bogus Operandi has a very similar chart for guitar an bass, and yet the rating for guitar is 5 and for bass is 6, and they even belong to different classes. And when you play each path the ratings are consistent with the difficulty you would expect for each class in guitar and bass.
Generally, I think that if the chart in guitar and bass paths is the same or very similar (2 such cases this week!), difficulty rating for the bass is about +1 compared to the guitar. But these are my feelings, because I find it more difficult to play the bass when there are some fast riffs, slides, turns, etc. That's why in the song The Hives I rated guitar 5 and bass 6, although there are so many slides and bends that it could even be 6.5/7.
1 hour ago, aNDESmASAMUNE said:My real problem was actually how to rate the rhythm, and now I understand from both of your ratings that if you play the same thing in lead and rhythm, you should rate it the same. My theory was that if it lacks a difficult solo in lead, the rating would be lower for lead than rhythm, but maybe I was wrong and you should rate it the same because it is the same instrument...
This is a very interesting observation. A lead chart is generally supposed to be made more difficult by riffs, solos etc., so I can understand that the same chart might have a slightly higher difficulty rating for a rhythm path than lead.

When adding songs to the SSL, I always have many doubts (as everything in life!) and wanted to discuss that, but felt that there was no place to discuss the ratings... What do you think???
I have serious doubts that this thread will be alive and there will be activity in it, but maybe I'm wrong. But it's an interesting idea, so more participants would have to comment.

Bass
I don't know how it happened, but I probably played lead and rhythm here during testing, and assessed the bss diff visually. Now I played bass path for the first time and it seems more difficult than 6, but maybe it's because of the bends and slides that are difficult to recognize.

Rhythm improvement
@ aNDESmASAMUNE I just noticed this, but I think @ Rodman mentioned it earlier. I don't know why you rated lead as 6 and rhythm as 7.5 in this song, if it's almost the same chart. Both 6.5 for me.

Rhythm
I have a problem with tones here. The tone in the riff is so quiet that I had to turn up my headphones to 100% and music volume in RS to 30%, and even then the tone wasn't very loud. In turn, the tone in the chords is then too loud.

Much better, I'll try to improve this a bit later.

Lead scores
With his result @ cacahuate51 closed the competition for me here on the first day
Ah, this style is too difficult for me, and these acoustic tones make my playing sound bad...

@ Mikson I entered a score for last weeks beginner rhythm but it showing lost trophy. I think it's because beg rhythm was the alt lead and it didn't get picked up.
Yes, you're probably right. The atl lead path played as rhythm caused all scores to be added without taking into account the participant classes (screen).
So this is a future job for @ kayteck .
Now we have to fix it manually and the important thing is in what class @ gspot competes in the rhythm path - you don't have a class assigned to rhythm, and you are a beginner in lead, should you also be a beginner in rhythm?
If so, @ gspot wins the previous week in the beginner rhythm class, otherwise @ lowender wins.
@ aNDESmASAMUNE has to change it manually as this week's host.- 3

@ aNDESmASAMUNE Thanks for creating a new week!
Just fix GoG/GoR/GoB week for week 2 of 3.
I also have a suggestion to use an additional song for bass instead of repeating the same one for advanced and master classes. There are plenty of suggestions for songs with only bass, with ratings ranging from 6 to 9, so there shouldn't be a problem.
You can also use your suggestion Hiatus Kaiyote - Nakamarra (I tested it a week ago) - it suits for a rhythm and bass masterclass.Have a nice week!

Don't know how I won.
Other people had perfect scores, and I don't know if I'm ready for intermediate but I'll give it my best shot.
The answer is simple, but I don't know if it will make you happy.
You won because you were one of 2 participants in the beginner bass class. The rest of players are competing in higher classes and their beginner score was just for fun. In the intermediate class it won't be so easy if you take a promotion.- 2

It's going to be a good week. I have tested each of these songs and they are all fun to play. The genres are vary as well, from more pop/dance at the lower classes to heavier vibes in the high classes. We also have another song from our friend @ fripponomic band - good again!
I added a 3-week GoG/GoR/GoB competition. The Seventh Wonder song is not a full album but a long 30-minute composition, so I decided that 3 weeks was the right time for this.
Have a nice week!
