  1. You can do it right in Audacity by using the "change pitch" function under the "Effect" tab. In the "Frequency" boxes, you'll want to enter in the actual pitch (445.1, etc.) in the "from" box and 440 in the "to" box. As you'll see, it helps greatly to establish the actual tuning beforehand.
  2. @@avdocatwork All three of those Allman Brothers songs are between 20-25 cents sharp of A440, so that's why they're sounding strange. I've gone ahead and adjusted your audio down to A440 so that you won't have to tune up to the A445 range. You can go right ahead and generate your wems with these WAV files, as I've used the audio directly from your CDLCs (no EoF fiddling needed). Here you go: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B_oBGm3OAVCqXzMycFRTWkE0VVE&usp=sharing
  3. It's very likely that you've either placed the .dll file in the wrong folder, or it is not named properly. It must be in the root folder (the same subfolder that contains the .exe file that you use to start the game) and there cannot be duplicates. Also, check to make sure that the .dll file does not contain a "(1)" or "(2)" in the file name, as this will cause it to not work. It also wouldn't hurt to try playing a different CDLC or one with lots of downloads and/or no reports of problems, as it could be that you've been trying to play a CDLC that simply does not work. im having the exact same issue as this guy you said the .dll cant have a 1 or 2 in the name? so should i rename my d3dx9_42.dll to just d3dx9_4.dll or something so that there is no 2 in the name? This only refers to the numbers in parenthesis that are added when a duplicate file is added to the folder. You don't wan't to delete anything in the filename otherwise. Sounds like you're missing a step in this tutorial.
  4. Cool, sounds good. There's a couple of minor things that'll change in the "final" version, but it's mostly finished now. Thankfully, I've got all the solos prettymuch finished. My suspicion is that the hand positions that he uses during the verses are slightly different. The A# chords are probably played at the 6th fret, and not the 1st, etc... https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9bWeFhk4_ktcF81LW9YcWhqdDg Heres the pdf's Awesome, thanks a lot! I'll have a closer look at them soon and tidy things up. I've downloaded them all, so feel free to delete from your GoogleDrive whenever you wish.

  6. Thank you for your advice, and I tried to explain it with words but it seems people don't understand it,so it's a bit easier to explain with a video. We can understand you fairly well. You're just not giving us the necessary information in order for us to help you. What I meant is that a video isn't the most efficient and effective way for us to help. Filedropper was actually much faster this time, but the video alone didn't help me understand what the problem was. Was your problem regarding handshapes, or note sustains? And at specifically what time in your project? If you've made changes to your project file recently, then please upload your .eof file so that we can look at things more closely.

  8. You may not be aware, but it takes about 15-20 minutes to download a video like this from filedropper. Sending a link to your most up to date project file and telling us that the "problem" occurs at "x minutes and x seconds" into the EoF project will always be far more helpful than posting a video on filedropper. If you absolutely have to send a video, it would be best if you used something like Google Drive, which allows us to stream the video rather than having to download it in full from a slow file host.
  9. Honestly, the bass tone is a simple Fender P Bass sound - nothing special, really. The easiest thing to do would be to import the bass tone from a similar sounding CDLC, or an official RS2014 song.
  10. I wasn't able to import the arrangements you've created into EoF, so I can't be of much help with that yet. Eof seems to have trouble with the package you've created. @@raynebc is it working for you? For the tones, you'll really only need two - one lead tone and one with an auto wah pedal. Just play around with it in the tone designer until you find one that sounds close. If it were me, I'd start with a Marshall JCM8000 through a Marshall cabinet (that's what she appears to be playing) with the volume/gain around 65-75, depending on how it sounds. That'll be your main lead tone. If needed, you can add an overdrive pedal (like the game's "germanium overdrive") for a slightly chunkier sound. For the wah tone during the intro and ending, just use the same tone as above and add a wah pedal to the chain. You'll probably want to use the "auto" setting so that the effect will engage/disengage on it's own. Wah tones aren't all that great in Rocksmith, but you should be able to get something fairly close. If you need help with adding tone switches to your song, check out the tutorials section, as there's at least one good tutorial that will show you how.

  14. Thanks for trying. I think I'm gonna work on some JCS today, since it's been a while :D
  15. I actually have Soulshine in progress, so I'll do my best to get it finished soon. :D Oh hell f*ckn yeah! I've started testing Soulshine, and it's ~95% good to go - just need to create a custom tone for the verses, fix a couple of chord voicings and a few aesthetic things with some slides into chords. Might have to fix a note or two on the bass, also. I've had a lot of fun playing it a few times already, though :D Here it is in it's current state, if anyone is interested: https://goo.gl/INJV1m @@kobie83 @@Aludog Would you guys happen to have this version of Soulshine (from the "Where It All Begins" album) in your songbook collection? I've already made a ton of changes to the GP tab I had, but there's still a few hand positions that I'm not 100% sure about. Having something else to reference would certainly help me finish it sooner :D Thanks in advance.
  16. It should work now. They apparently fixed the problem, which was related to failed server migration over the weekend.
  17. The error messages tell you exactly what the problem is. For the first picture, just remove the arpeggio - it shouldn't be there anyway since those are chords, not an arpeggio. Everything in the second picture should be fine. EoF is just warning you that is you create DD with the DDC tool (in the Toolkit) that either the note sustain or applied techniques may not display properly because there is a section boundary there. It still looks like you're having trouble syncing the song properly, based on the way the notes are aligned with the beat map. It would definitely be worth it to learn how to sync by moving the beat markers, as we've suggested. There are a couple of tutorials that demonstrate how to do this. Honestly, don't worry about the difficulty numbers and creating dynamic difficulty in EoF. That's a very advanced and time consuming way to create DDC, and you're better off just using the DDC tool, at least for now.
  18. Just finished up a complete re-working of Ramble On. This v2 contains updates to literally everything! Please see the release notes in the database entry for details.
  19. Also, make sure you're using the latest version of the Toolkit, which contains DDC v 3.0. As I recall, there was a bug in DDC v 2.9 which caused this very problem.
  20. It's your computer, sorry to say. If you haven't already, you may want to experiment with Rocksmith's options and disable some of the visual enhancements - you can even turn off the venue (in the backround) alltogether, which will help quite a bit. As a last resort, you can try running the game at a lesser resolution, but I doubt you'll have to go that far.
  21. That's really weird, honestly. First, make sure the pickups are roughly the same height that they were before, relative to the strings. Then try re-calibrating your guitar with Rocksmith. Also, trying it with another guitar, if you have access to one, would help to determine whether the issue is your guitar or real tone cable. If nothing works, a workaround would be to try and play the b string at the 5th fret (or equivalent) to try and "trick" RS. Even if this works, it obviously wouldn't be ideal for note detection purposes.
  22. I think it might have more to do with the tone changes. The red line just designates a new RS section. Specifically the names of your tones in the Toolkit matching the names of the tones from your EoF project, or the possibility that one your tones is incorrectly marked as a bass tone in the Toolkit. I believe that the newest versions of the Toolkit has some checks for the first problem, so you'll want to update to the latest beta build if you haven't already. To see the tone names, go to Track>Rocksmith>Tone Change>List in EoF. Make sure that the name of the second occurrence of the delay tone (the one where it crashes) EXACTLY matches the first. As an example it should go DELAY, ACOUSTIC, DELAY. If one letter is misspelled, The game will be expecting you to include a tone by that misspelled name in the Toolkit. When you import the guitar .xml into the Toolkit it will automatically add "dummy" tones, using the names you have set in EoF. You can either edit those to your liking or import tones from elsewhere. If you import tones, then you'll just need to use he same names from your EoF project, deleting the "dummy" tones. There's a chance I've missed the mark, but it really feels like a tone-related issue to me, the above being the most common causes. Hope that helps.
  23. I actually have Soulshine in progress, so I'll do my best to get it finished soon. :D
  24. Opening the project and inserting your own audio would be easier, because there's a very good chance that the tempo will be different - as will the leading silence. 1) Open EoF and go to FIle>Load. Then load the notes.eof file that you've unpacked from the CDLC 2) Then use File>Load ogg to import an ogg version of your backing track. 3) if any syncing is required, which will most likely be the case, then follow any of the syncing tutorials in the Help>Tutorials sub-forum. Just not the one by SkepticSquid, as that method is less than ideal.
