  1. @@coldrampage There's no new version, there's nothing new. Uplay+ have been announced at E3 and nothing have been communicated by UbiSF regarding RS which is a STEAM only game (the only thing you can buy on Uplay is the base game and even then, it'll just give you a steam key) Don't hold your breath for anything new out of this as it seems unlikely for it to happen and we have no proper list of games included in Uplay+ at the moment.
  2. Nothing is confirmed and nothing indicate this will happen in any kind of way. Uplay+ is for the games on Uplay catalogue but DLC for RS are only available through steam which makes it unlikely that they would give out steam key as DLC are released to all Uplay+ subscriber and it would also require them to revoke those keys when the subscription ends. You can't buy DLC through Uplay, you can't have a RS version that isn't on Steam either which makes this whole situation very very unlikely at this point and the only web page that can maybe indicate that it happens looks like just a straight up copy paste for the news to be posted on Ubisoft games website. TL;DR : unlikely to be true.

  4. @@thre4t in the first post of the topic you just replied to.
  5. All DLC from RS1 can be bought and played in RS2014 without having to buy RS1 (unless steam fucked up something again but it seems to have been fine for quite some time). The only reason to buy RS1 is to be able to buy the Import Tool to get 52 out of the 57 on disc songs that are available in RS1 (which is a great deal when RS1 is on sale).
  6. @@coldrampage we have quite a decent number of user that use it which is why we have an offer for GPA (see the announcement up top). I personnaly don't use it at all but the auto sync of GPA seems to work very well in most cases which is very helpful for some people that have trouble with syncing in general. It's just an automation of the process that can save time on a lot of cases. Is it worth it for you is a choice only you can make though.
  7. @@chicker That's a dll issue, make sure it has the correct name exactly and that it is in the right place (a screenshot of where you put it can always help us be more precise)
  8. @@TheSquishyOne Not a solution to your problem but in regards to streaming, i would strongly suggest to use our partner system that is RSPlaylist : https://rsplaylist.com/

  10. the dll should be in Rocksmith root folder (where the exe is). CDLC should be in the DLC folder. Steam shouldn't have to update anything everytime you play the game. One thing you can do is to verify the integrity of the game files via steam to see if there is any issue with your installation.
  11. Yeah, likely to be the "GuitarRegistrarTextIndicatorDefault" part. The indicator folder control the hue value for the bend/slide arrow and the exclamation point but not the actual text though that folder does contain the actual text.
  12. @@chicker there's not many reason for CDLC to not show up ingame. The two most plausible cases are if you don't own Cherub Rock or if the file aren't in the DLC folder. I would triple check that where you've put the CDLC is indeed where the game is installed by steam. The easiest way to check that is to go to your steam library, right click on the game and go into the propriety. Then to the local file tab, there's a button that'll directly open the root folder of the game and you'll just have to check the dlc folder to see if your CDLC are indeed in there. If the files are indeed in the correct place, there's one thing left to check and it's if the file correctly end in _p.psarc (no (1) or whatever in between the _p and the .psarc part of the name). Any other ending on the file name will make RS ignore it.
  13. @@chicker Do you own Cherub Rock https://store.steampowered.com/app/248750/Rocksmith_2014__The_Smashing_Pumpkins___Cherub_Rock/
  14. you are correct in your assumption that tuning list is what the game only knows and everything else is labeled as "custom tuning". Recent discoveries for modding the game though have allowed to add new tuning properly to that list, we are working on getting something that would cover 99.99999% of the current needs for all user to be easily added by all user. If you feel like modding it yourself, you can always check this : http://customsforge.com/index.php/topic/53049-colds-crap/
  15. @@Rockfirstlast Black or darkish tone are really hard to make out from the background in some situation, the colors need to be intense enough to stand out relatively well. There's a lot of trial and error to get something that works well enough and don't look ulgy as shit in game. That's the kind of situation where you realize the default set is far from bad :D
  16. Had some fiddle around with all the files in there, i think the most interesting part of that beside string color is to edit how some technique might look especially chord fret hand mute and palm mute. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/415524785557209102/587681507628548121/unknown.png Looks better than the default light blue outline and makes frethand mute largely more readable on the go. Clearly a lot of room to fiddle with stuff but since it's all DDS, it pretty much have to be custom made to get something interesting out of it. Really nice discovery there though and i'll sure have some fun with adjusting a few stuff in there.
  17. So i had some fun : It's all in that dependency_songcomponents.psarc There's a good amount of stuff to fiddle with for something proper (i just made a mess to see how much there was in there and how far the game could support some of it). The gradient end up in many different places so it'll likely need to be changed in many places to make sure the change is effective everywhere in the game though.
  18. @@coldrampage .org should be from CFSM if i'm not mistaking. One thing i was able to make which is interesting is to alter the notetail color : https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/415524785557209102/587320170767319057/unknown.png This was done by altering the note_gradient_map.dds in the cache 6 assets/gameplay/tail
  19. I don't know what the limit is, i just recall (might be bad memory though) that someone said the list won't scroll.
  20. Thing is that getting rid of already existing tuning won't solve the issue of theSG entirely and considering the jump function in the list is linked to that tuning list to some extent, it would be problematic if it ended up breaking that part higher up in tuning than it already do :)
  21. Right didn't noticed it stopped working when going down low like this but all other custom tuning that are higher works fine. I'm curious though how many tuning can be added cause i recall some people saying it won't scroll.
  22. @@theSG That's incorrect though, all custom tuning are correctly sorted when you sort by tuning and can still move from one tuning to another with the [ and ] key as you do with all the other tuning. Adding a name is purely a cosmetic change and won't technically alter the way the list work as far as i know.
  23. There's no good way to keep track of all the revision that have been done over the years with IP board anyway and the last person that did an edit forgot to check the box to show the last edit date... As to why Maztor decided to post his own link, i have no idea. Again, all i can assure is that the link in the first post is as accurate as it is with the current version of the game. Anything posted by other user i can't vouch for.
  24. @@kirispy i've edited it as needed over the years. I can't vouch for any other link over there that aren't posted by me but the main post has been kept updated as needed and have had many rework to make the instruction as clear as possible.
  25. @@kirispy the dll in the post of the "Use CDLC" page is the dll i made sure work with the remastered version, if that one doesn't work, i don't see any reason to assume others would. Note that CFSM can be used to make sure the dll is properly named and in the right folder automatically too.
