  1. Hi Guys, I am shocked at hearing the news of the loss of LaceyB, I received the news today of her passing. I had kept in contact with her over the years by PM and emails as I know a lot of you guys have done also, and only recently found out she had been having health issues. Her generous time spent helping many of us at CustomsForge and The Classic Rock Coalition with our charting of Customs, will be remembered always. And all her many CDLCs that she spent so much time on and generously sharing them with all of us at Smithy's Anvil, CustomsForge and The Classic Rock Coalition is truly appreciated by us all and will be her legacy to us all also. There is a CustomForge page in memory of LaceyB at: http://customsforge.com/index.php/topic/46027-laceyb-has-gone/ Heart felt condolences to LaceyB's family and friends. She will be missed by all of us for sure. Later avdocatwork aka: Terry

  2. Well... sad news make this a lot less joyfull, still as we do play their songs here all the time i shall tell a few words of this years bandperformances on the NovaRock festival. Top 3? 3) Body Count feat. Ice-T: i really liked the old stuff back in the days, and a lot of that was played, very very tight performance opened with a slayer medley - anyone listening could only have liked the show. 2) Passenger: (!!!) what? yes. that single songwriter guy on stage, so un-rocky in front of a rock-only crowd, also unknown as person but then remembered by his only radio top hit "Let her go" that did change his life completely kicked us all telling stories and performing mostly sad songs for a good hour in a very unique way. Is it me getting soft in my old days ;) - well i wouldn´t mind but i really don´t think so - at least i´d not have been the only one. Just a hammer performance - go see Mike if you get the chance! 3) Iron Maiden: No surprise - no and yes: well i always managed to miss them until now (like Rammstein also) and already was angry about that... that year it finally came together and i thought - well at least one time on their old days before they retire.... and there is the no. Full Set 2:30h, all old stratocasters, bass and vocals top notch, maximum energy and obviously so much fun playing also all the old stuff of which there is much too much too play. Last show on day 4 - Everyone, also the 17yo kiddos where singing along at fear of the dark, the trooper, number of the beast and run to the hills. I really thought they would be just ok before the show. (4) (The Hollywood Undead): Would have made it to 3 or even two, just i have only entered the stage at their last 3 songs, one of them was a straight to the face metallica/rammstein medley and then obviously 2 of their hits - so i can´t tell about the whole show. What i can tell Metal-Hiphop-Rap-a lot of Metal combo with 5 vocalists and a breathtaking shouting performance. What else? Everyone was really good this year, and everyone almost made sure to have a lil Slayer, Metallica, Killing in the Name Of in their set (i can live with that). Top 10 does carry by far too few places here. Only some that did great: Marilyn Manson - gotten fat with vocally the by far the best time i´ve seen him now, for his belongs almost minimal show. Megadeth - as expected great with a few technical difficulties with the mic on start. Seiler&Speer - on home turf making 50000+ sing along, nice! Life Of Agony - he is a woman now (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) The songs come tighter than ever. Limp Bizkit, Volbeat, Jonathan Davies, Arch Enemy, Prodigy,Killswitch Engage, Billy Idol... very good. Just Billy Talent, and i like BT a lot, still cool with a lot of young fans but their shows are getting worse, mainly depending on the worse songs coming from the last 2 albums, really interested in how they are gonna manage and whats coming in the next years, sad to see Aaron is slowly losing his fight against MS, only drumming 2 songs of the show.

  3. Still missing notes all over the place, but it is getting better. RR really helps with songs like this one. http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k228/maztor42/Rocksmith%20championship%202014/Surrender%209528_zpsvnjxv90v.jpg

  4. How to Use Custom DLC (CDLC) on Mac (2023 Update) The following instructions are for Rocksmith 2014 Remastered, with the latest update installed. These instructions may not work for older versions or pirated versions of the game, and I will provide no support for pirated versions. Please buy the game and support the developer. Without the game, we would have nothing to play customs with anyway. Download the patch here : https://github.com/aik002/RSBypass/releases/download/1.8pre2/RSBypass.zip Video instruction : To convert PC customs to Mac version : https://github.com/glebb/rocksmithconvert/releases/download/2.2.0/RSConvert_GUI-2.2.zip Here are all the steps (read them carefully) : Your user account needs to be an Administrator account. Download the Rocksmith Patch: https://github.com/aik002/RSBypass/releases/download/1.8pre2/RSBypass.zip Unzip the patch file and double-click on "RUN_PATCH_RS.command" to run the patch. This will patch the Rocksmith 2014 app file to allow cDLC's to work. **If you encounter a permissions error, see the note below** Download the customs you want. Make sure they end in "_m.psarc". If they end in "_p.psarc" they are PC only versions and will need to be converted with the Toolkit. I'll put instructions for that down below. Place the customs in the dlc folder. The location is: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Rocksmith2014 It is a hidden folder, so the easiest way to find it is to open Finder, and using the "Go" menu, select "Go To Folder" and paste the location in there. You can then drag the dlc folder to your sidebar to create a permanent link. You can also find the folder by opening Steam and going to your games library and right-clicking on Rocksmith 2014, and choosing "Properties". Select the "Local Files" tab and click on "Browse Local Files" Launch Rocksmith 2014 by either opening Steam and running it from "Library", or launch it from the Mac Launchpad by clicking on "Rocksmith 2014" Say goodbye to your family, friends, and free time. You won't be seeing any of them for a while. **If you encounter a permissions error while running the patch: Right-click on the patch and select "Get Info" Under "Sharing & Permissions", make sure that all users listed have "Read & Write" permissions. If they do not, click the small lock icon in the bottom right corner to allow the permissions to be changed, and enter your Admin password. Then select each user that needs to be changed and alter the permissions. Repeat for the other two files needed for the patch ("insert_dylib" and "libRYBypass.dylib") Updated 2023/11/01, confirmed to work until Sonoma OS.

  5. Hi, folks. I'll be using this thread to maintain the latest versions of EOF in one place. To start, download and extract EOF 1.8RC12: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ih70h6p67iy77ka/eof1.8RC12.zip You can keep that zip file handy to avoid downloading it more than once. When I release a new hotfix, all you have to do is replace the files from the above zip file with the ones from the hotfix. The latest hotfix (9-26-2020) is here: https://www.mediafire.com/file/6xzg32k4a9gqwxs/eof_hotfix_%289-26-2020_4%29.zip/file *If you use a non QWERTY US English keyboard layout, and keyboard controls/shortcuts aren't working for you, please make a post describing what keyboard shortcuts aren't working, and what the Info panel says the "CODE" and "ASCII" values are after you use each of the keyboard controls in question. I can make Mac releases and will try to post one with each Windows release, but my ability to do so is sometimes limited. If I don't get around to releasing a Mac build you want, just remind me to do so. The latest Mac build (9-26-2020) is here: http://ignition.customsforge.com/eof/download/487 Unless you have oggenc and LAME installed (these don't come with the Mac build for licensing reasons), you won't be able to have EOF automatically convert from MP3 to OGG when you create a new chart. If you have trouble getting those set up on your system, here is a package that should get them installed and usable by EOF: http://www.t3-i.com/apps/eof/downloads/eof_utilities.pkg Please provide any and all feedback, including bugs and feature requests. If possible, also please review the included documentation (manual, tutorials) and let me know if you find any room for improvement there. Eventually I plan to add a Rocksmith authoring section to the pro guitar tutorial, but the community's knowledge of the Rocksmith songs' makeup changes pretty quickly so it's hard to know when particular features are considered fully known. For any features that ARE fully known (like anchors), please feel free to remind me if they aren't incorporated into EOF yet, in case I missed any information being passed around on this forum or the Google group. Note: If you are reporting a bug, please specify which hotfix (date) you're using. I release hotfixes on a somewhat random schedule, sometimes more than once per day, so the issue being reported may have been fixed in a release you haven't tried yet.

  9. @ as i said, ideas isn't the issue, we just don't have people to implement them. Regarding the charter name in lyrics or added somewhere in the file is something i despise. CDLC are already signed with my name inside the file itself and CFSM can display this to all user if they are actually interested in knowing it. Also, if the CDLC was added in your collection when you clicked for downloading it (this happens by default), you can find it back from there : http://ignition.customsforge.com/search/collection Note that global "thank you" post aren't really seen much by the charter themself either. It's nice to take the time to do so but i'm sure a lot would appreciate it if you actually did it on even one or two CDLC. Or if you do create a post about it, it's always nice to mention the member you really want to thanks which you can do by typing [ member=username ] in your post which will notify them. @@yaniv800 Money exchange is a "no go", category and suggestion are ideas that we have but again, implementing them into the website and keeping them relevant is hard and complicated. As much as i appreciate the suggestion, once again, ideas aren't the issue, we have ton of them to work with. We need actual dev with time to dedicate to this and that's a rare ressources to find and as long as we don't have any, things won't change no matter how much we wish it did.

  10. @@D-Rock - Man, welcome aboard! Be warned, you will likely spend all your free time shredding, and it´s not likely to stop ;) Yesterday i was like talking to myself "Damn summer is over and i have not been lying in the sun in the garden, not for one minute..." and the reply from my lil 5yo daughter was "That´s NO WONDER, dad when you are not spending time with us all that is in your head is playing your guitars to your wall (beamer) down in the cellar" ... Haha. After thinking really long about that said i came to the conclusion that this is still a good thing because i spend a real lot of time with my kids and recently proposed to my girl, and she still said yes, so it can´t be that bad. Back to your (non)issue: Well i have to raise the flag for the Championships, simply because the CS is good for you! Every week you will be getting songs thoroughly classified by difficulty (something you do not get on official songs, strangely) and in beginner level (1-3 out of 10) they are gonna be in the bottom 1/3. Of course that does in no way mean you will grab your gear and 90 them instantly, or even achieve mastery, but you will be forced to work on all the techiques you need to learn also outside of your comfort zone, and you will progress quickly if you do. And you do that in a fun-competition way that really really helps pushing ones limits. Also you get to know a lot of new bands making great guitar music which is not a bad thing either (for me thats Rob Zombie, Muse, Metric only to name few that made it to my most favs) Wanna take a bet? Take on the challenge and you will be ending with your first 90ies in october, and by yearchange you will be regular 95 and on the edge to get that 99 on a 3-song to advance to intermediate. One more important thought: In guitar playing there most likely will always be someone far more skilled than you, and that is no problem. If you set your target like - i wanna become masterclass asap, or i wanna be able to play stairway to heaven perfectly thats a problem! If you see how much fun it is just to play and improve exactly on your level and set the way as your target its always be joyful. Rock! R.

  11. I'm having trouble. The game recognizes the song, but once I get past the tuning, that's it. I can hear my guitar but there is no song? What do I do?
